Stopped in here for a takeaway slice on my way back to my hotel after a day of sightseeing. It is a small store front and there was not a clear queue. That said, once I ordered and walked out with my slices (plain tomato), I promptly walked across the street and sat down to enjoy the most wonderful crust and tomato combination I have ever had! Crust was chewy and crispy while the sauce was the perfect amount of zesty and sweet. I immediately wished I had ordered more! The pizza is sold by weight so you can mix and match in any way you'd like. I didn't do this mostly because I wasn't feeling communication confident; however, the woman. Great local pizza a taglio, Italian cut pizza meant for takeaway, very few tourists around. There were numerous kinds ranging from a basic margherita to another topped with in season mushrooms. The ladies at the counter were happy to provide service and seemed almost amused by the touristy attention they were getting. The price was really reasonable, being slightly under-priced for a pizza a taglio, and definitely a great deal for the quality of the product. The pizzas with veggies were fresh, the meats (had a square with mushrooms and sausage) was perfectly cooked and moist. I highly recommend trying this place, for the price you can't go wrong anyways. read more

Best pizza I had in Rome. Pizza was delicious...I had the pizza with tuna, ketchup and mayonnaise...it sounds weird but it was great. Visited a bar then went back for seconds. Me and my friends got the bacon toppings, which is a giant slice and a pepper toppings. Prices are very reasonable as well.. We were in between two walking tours, so we were fairly tired from the first one and antsy about the second one, as we wanted to ensure we'd feed ourselves some food that could get us through to dinner. This was a great pizzeria, and relatively quick for how busy it gets! There were so many options, and the staff were very friendly but patient. We tried at least 3-4 different flavor combos, and surprisingly the tuna was our favorite. And I really appreciate that the crust wasn't so tough or chewy that I couldn't eat it. Also, the inside is super small, but fortunately there are also some benches right outside - folks typically don't stay long, so you're bound to get a seat soon enough. OMG!!! When in Rome you must get pizza here. They have the most delicious pizza I've ever tried. From bacon and goat cheese to vegetarian. You choose the type & the size of the slice you want, they then cut & weigh your selection. You pay by weight. Soooo you can try one or 10 different kinds. All amazing! The pizza is very very inexpensive and is sold by the weight. It is sliced in large rectangles right in front of you. I ate here several times during the week during my trip. So delicious! This was my wife and I's favorite food find in Italy. It's just to the south of the ruins that are famous for housing many stray cats. It's an off the beaten path pizza shop that seemed very popular with locals, so we took a shot. Best pizza we had on our trip, and the owner was super-nice and fun. He's a local, but spoke excellent English. All kinds of fun combinations of pizza were available, and they all looked worthwhile. The best was pomodoro...fantastic. We actually went back to this place two more times...and we were only in Rome for four days!! We had pizza many more times on this trip, but it never got better for us than Pizza Florida.
