Just a heads up! I think there could be a new chef. I came back with a friend a few weeks before Christmas, ordered the same exact items and everything was completely different. The meatballs didn't taste like the same recipe whatsoever. Unfortunately we didn't finish them. I think it's tricky right now to find chefs, at least according to some friends who work in that world. Consistency might be tricky or touch and go. Maybe it's been worked out by now, hopefully because I truly love to recommend this restaurant to friends. read more

Mind you I do not live in the area so it is a little more challenging to visit a place. Atmosphere - The place has a very upscale vibe but casual works here. Love the wood burning pizza oven in the kitchen. The oven was roaring when we left the placex and the exhaust smelled so good. Food Drink - 20th Anniversary Imperial Red Ale by Red Rock Brewing Co. Appetizer - free bread with hummus. Dinner - Oink oink. I hear some pigs calling me. I will huff and puff until ... I eat the three little pigs. The pizza named three little pigs have three meats. The first meat is Biscotti ham, second is the house made sausage, and the third little pig is bacon. I could have ate two of these pizzas it was so good. Service - Staff was great. Our waitress made suggestions during the ordering process. Future - I could see coming here again. read more

I've been recommended @pizzeria712 several times over the last several years. Finally made it there . The first impression roses go to the open kitchen with a wood-fired oven and the friendly staff. Based on lighting, decor, and punctuation-less menus, you get the overall vibe that you're going to get quality pizza. And we walked away thinking it was a good wood-fired option for the people Orem. To start, we enjoyed enjoyed the Bianca bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Brooke brought up several times that the taste and consistency reminded her of the focaccia bread we ate in Cinque Terra - that's a great compliment! The complimentary hummus was good but didn't seem to fit the profile of the menu IMO. I wish I could eat that fresh pita again and again though. YUM The pizza crust was definitely a highlight - great flavor, soft on the north side and a crispy layer on the south side. Our favorite pizza was the pepperoni. The pepps had heat which made it a little too spicy for the kids but delightful for us adults. Kind of left only a few pizza options for the less-adventurous young eaters. Oh well. The other two we order (in order of faves) included the Hot Pink and The Speck. I ate the leftovers next day and it held up better than expected (some thin pizzas dry out so fast). And for dessert we got the Almond Cake with Blueberries and Sweet Cream. Loved the freshly baked cake. The crisped exterior of the cake was so pleasant, breaking up the smooth textures of sweet cream and hot cake. My only thought was that it didn't resemble any almond I've cake I've eaten in the past. I thought it closer to a traditional pound cake since I wasn't detecting much almond flavor. Anyway, my kids fought over the last bite and that's all I could ask for. Excellent pizza! I ordered the "Hot Pink" and was happily impressed. The pizza had mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta and chili flakes. Just the right amount of kick. I haven't been to Pizzeria Seven Twelve in years and was a little nervous to go back after reading some negative reviews about the service but honestly, they were incredible! Our food was out so quickly and our server was very prompt, kind, and attentive. The food was delicious. It's definitely one of the best pizzas in Utah county and everything I tried was delicious! It's a beautiful restaurant with a great menu and I'm definitely adding this one back into my rotation for regular restaurants. They're amazing! read more

A little underwhelmed by my experience here. I have a few friends that really like this place, so maybe my expectations were a little too high. I will say that the food itself is super good! I loved the pizza! Came here with a group of 4 and we got 2 pizzas to share between us which I felt was plenty. We ordered the bianco and the sausage. It was fun to get pizzas that were very different from each other and to try both. I particularly liked the bianco. It really hit the spot! They also bring out complimentary pita bread and hummus which I enjoyed as well. There were a few things that I didn't love. First of all, this place is really hard to find. It is in the middle of the Midtown 360 complex. You wouldn't be able to find it if you didn't know it was there. Parking is also a little bit of a disaster. It also took quite a while for us to get our food. My friend was told that they can only put four pizzas in the oven at a time. That is super weird to me considering this is a PIZZA place. Like their job is to make a lot of pizzas. It wasn't even too busy of a night, so I was unimpressed with our wait time. This is a really small thing that maybe wouldn't matter to some people. But we were here to celebrate a birthday and they didn't care or do anything special for us. You can't even spare a free Italian soda or something? That is something that perhaps would have built a little bit of customer loyalty with me. If they do something special for birthdays, won't people want to come here every time you celebrate a birthday? Kind of made me wish we had gone somewhere else. Overall, I would say that the actual pizza is good. But if you are looking for a high quality Neapolitan pizza experience, I would recommend Midici down the street or something like that. After traveling to Naples, Italy last summer I have been on the hunt for legit Neapolitan pizza. Pizzeria 712 is definitely as close as it gets. From the somewhat cramped rustic layout, roaring wood fire pizza oven in the background, to the glass water bottles on each table; everything was great and totally reminded me of Italy! I had the marinara pizza with olive oil drizzle and my husband had the margarita with speck. Speck is a type of smoked prosciutto and it was delicious!! Both of the pizzas were cooked to perfection. Just a little char, thin center crust, and pillowy outside crust. The tomato sauce had great acidity, the garlic was fresh and not overpowering. The only thing a little odd was how mild the mozzarella was, it could have been better. I really enjoyed the complementary pita and hummus while we waited for our food, which came out very quick considering it was a busy Friday night. Make sure to have a reservation if you plan on coming for dinner on the weekend. The restaurant is also in a weird business/apartment complex, and it looks like you are in the totally wrong spot. So be aware that it is difficult to find if you do not know what you are looking for. I cannot wait to go back for more legit pizza!! read more

Summary: I have been to 712 a few times, and it rarely seems to disappoint. Atmosphere: (4 stars) - The interior is much bigger than it used to be and is well organized. Music and other elements are not too loud, and you can watch the pizzas being made. Food: (4 Stars) - The food here is always of the highest quality, and you always be sure that everything will be expertly curated and matched with each other to ensure a delicious experience. Service (4 stars) - Despite being very busy, our order arrived promptly, and our server was well attuned to our needs (we had two children) and was able to offer great suggestions on things that both my wife and children should try. Value (3 Stars) - This is a restaurant where you will for sure pay more than you would otherwise at other similar pizza places. However, the quality and composition of the food make it worth it every once in a while. Would I go back- I will be back again very soon. read more

I used to love this place but the service and food gets worse every time I eat here. They treat people very poorly. The host and server were extremely rude. I got a total of 0 refills on my drink and the server was visibly bothered by any question about the menu. I felt like I was at a restaurant in NYC. Except the servers are slightly nicer in NY. It is small and they will hold reserved tables for too long. I got there at around six and there were three open tables. They told me it would be 20-30 minutes before I could be seated. I asked about all the open tables and was told they were for reservations. 15 minutes later a table was vacated and cleaned and we were able to sit. We ordered and the food was definitely not as good as it had been in the past. We ate and paid and when we left all three "reservation" tables were still open. read more

Pizzeria 712 is a gem, and attached to the Midtown 360 apartment complex in Orem! There is exclusive parking for eating at the restaurant, however, so that won't likely be an issue. Pizzeria 712 is at times one of my favorite pizza stops and at other times it is just okay. The Serrano pizza has a brilliant contrast of sweet and spicy and the bread with oil and balsamic is a great deal for an appetizer. On the other hand, the pizza rarely has the crisp that is necessary for it to hold a shape so you can pick it up and the menu is slightly overpriced overall. This is a place I'll continue to visit but will be very picky with what I order. read more

Hands down best pizza in Utah. I prefer the Bianca every time and add mushrooms and garlic to it. It's so good. I love the vibe with original kircshisnic's art on the walls you can't beat the atmosphere, a mini vacation within Utah making it feel like you are on another continent. Just visiting the area saw the ratings on yelp and decided to try them out. Was a great choice. We ordered the grilled asparagus, marinated beets, burrata salad, & Bianco pizza. We loved everything. The grilled asparagus was really yummy and the ricotta was so creamy. Loved the Burrata with the compressed melon & speck was excellent. Marinated beets were okay loved the truffle oil. Last the Bianco pizza...so creamy cheesy exceptional pizza I have had in a long time. Almost forgot to mention the complimentary hummus and pita bread was a great surprise and very tasty. I am only an occasional pizza fan and have to be in the mood. I was not the night we visited Pizzeria 712, though I can acknowledge that the pizza is quite good if you're into it. It's thin-crust and Neapolitan-style but obviously made with very fresh ingredients. No complaints there. I did find the overall menu a bit odd and disjointed. As far as entrees go, you basically have two options: pizzas or salads (this in contrast to other similar restaurants which usually offer some variation like pasta or sandwiches). But then, there are a number of interesting and seemingly out-of-place options on the appetizer menu, like the free pita and hummus, and including a deliciously (not-free) tender braised shortrib served on a bed of polenta and swimming in broth. I ended up with that and was pleased, though it would be cool if their entree menu was expanded a little to match the appetizer offerings. Because kitchen service was very busy and slow the night we visited (my meal came out 15 minutes before my husband's, so he had to sit and watch me eat it), our awesome server comped our dessert. We tried the carrot cake. The flavor was good and it was pretty to look at, but was really dry and crumbly and required a fair amount of water as a chaser. tl;dr--come here if you're a pizza snob or if you like random appetizers. read more

I took my daughter to dinner here and appreciated the environment that allowed for us to not feel rushed to we could visit while eating our dinner. Our favorite parts of the meal were the bread and the chocolate pudding. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and there were tiny slices of chicken, one on each slice of my pizza, and there's 6 slices; it was disappointing. It was mostly sauce and cheese. My daughters lasagna was quite runny, but the flavor was good. We were a few minutes late for our reservation but they managed to get us seated right away, on a Saturday night too; it was appreciated as we were both so hungry. read more
