The fam came here after church because we had a coupon for a bogo deal. We ordered a couple pizzas and meatball appetizer. It's beautiful when you walk in. I loved the vibe - serene with plants, lighting, and wood tables. And I gotta give a shoutout to the bathroom, specifically the baby changing space! We came inside to eat this time! Very open, well ventilated, dough and fresh ingredients out for eyes to see! My kid and I ordered the double pepperoni (added prosciutto). Meatballs and a strawberry/peach lemonade. Service was great, you place your order sit down and they bring your food. Pizza could have been hotter, cheese wasn't melted but still good pizza for sure. We first tried Midici at their (now closed) gateway location in Salt Lake City. I barely remember it, but my husband was blown away. As he's not the foodie in this relationship, I felt like that was enough reason to try it one more time. Their Orem location is open until late, which is great. Very spacious, clean, and friendly staff, no notes on that. I noticed the prices on the menu at the door and the ones on the kiosk where you pay are different, which feels deceitful, but it might be new and they just haven't had the chance or ability to update their front menu? As for the pizzas themselves, we got a Hawaiian and New York Margherita. Portions were huge, but the crust left somuch to be desired. The sauce, toppings, portions, and even crusts' flavor were top notch, but the slices were floppy and hard to eat. When it comes to pizza, the crust is just as important as the toppings (sometimes even more), so unfortunately I didn't enjoy it as much as I could've. Short version: Great staff, several things done right, potential for greatness, a bit disappointed. Had lunch at the Orem MidiCi with a friend today. We had "The devil's" pizza and a half order of garlic cheese bread. Everyone we talked to was great. As far as customer service is concerned, the staff all get 5 stars. They were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, etc. Zero complaints there. Give them all a raise. As appetizers should, the garlic cheese bread came out pretty fast. It was entirely decent with a nice fresh garlic flavor. The pizza came out in a reasonably short time as well. The crust had good flavor and the sauce and toppings were all tasty too. The spice level of this pizza was significant but not overpowering. Just where it should be. Spicy sausage and hot peppers. The dough was stretched really thin, which is actually something i admire. It's about as thin as i do it at home, and that takes some skill and quality ingredients. The problem is that, while the toppings and the outer ring of crust were perfectly baked, the undercarriage was just this side of raw. As a pizza nerd, I approach wood-fired pizza with more trepidation than enthusiasm. At pizza-baking temperatures, wood fire does not impart any flavor. This is just physics and chemistry -- the products of wood fire that can be tasted in something like a rack of ribs are burned off completely at pizza temperatures. Given a sufficiently talented pizzaiolo, there are vanishingly few people in the world who can, in a blind test, identify which pizza was baked in a wood oven vs. baked in a gas oven. Significantly more skill and knowledge are required to manage a wood (or coal) fired oven as opposed to a gas or electric oven. The fuel is also substantially more expensive. Over time, this usually results in a situation where management balks at the cost of quality hardwood splits in the quantity required to maintain proper deck and dome temperatures throughout service, and the expense of retaining talented pizzaiolos who can take their oven management skills elsewhere. A significant portion of learning how to make great pizza in a given oven is figuring out how to balance top and bottom heat in a specific oven. Today, at about 12:30pm on a Friday, the one oven that this pizzeria had fired, did not have a hot enough deck to properly bake the underside of the pizza. Maybe it was an off day? Maybe dinner service is better? Maybe I'll try again? read more

Craving some upscale takeout at 9pm on a Saturday, I walked into a bustling, warm midici and was happy to know they were open until midnight. As soon as I entered the building I was surrounded by a rich atmosphere. The lights on the ceiling are flickering just enough to make you think the whole place is lit by fire light. The large ovens in the center along with all the Italian toppings make you feel like you're in Italy. The place is bustling with people and would be a great date night or a place to take a group of friends! There was a long line on a Saturday night, but it moved very quickly. After I ordered my food, the cashier offered me a water cup so I could have a drink while I waited. How very thoughtful! I ordered the classic Margherita pizza but added prosciutto on top, and I also ordered the baked burrata. The time I entered the restaurant to the to time I left with my food was 20 minutes. The pizza is delicious! It's not the best Naples style pizza I've had in Utah, but it's pretty darn good. The prosciutto was excellent. The baked burrata however, was the star of the show! Sooo creamy on the inside and the flavor was perfect with that oregano. We ended up peeling the prosciutto off our pizza to eat with the burrata and it was heaven! I think we'll be back next time to eat in for a date or a dinner with friends. It just had such a great atmosphere and the smells waiting for you inside are to die for! read more

I totally love this place! The inside seating and style of the restaurant is very stylish and elegant. The menu is interactive on the screen and the order counter is also great to look at and captures your eye. I really like MidiCi! I've been twice so far and have really enjoyed both visits. The pizzas are freshly made when you order them. We've had nothing but great service so far! They are Neapolitan style (as their name suggests, haha!) so a little different than your typical American style pizza but really yummy! I am obsessed with the Burrata, Melon, and prosciutto plate. Everything tastes so good together and the little toasts with balsamic glaze are a great addition! On my first visit to Midici I registered my phone number with them, and lo and behold I received a text coupon for 50% off of a pizza. Hence we're back for a second visit. This time we tried "The Devil's" pizza and the meat and cheese board, which was highly recommended by my neighbor. And I couldn't resist another of the terrific basil limeades. (It's not diet but it's SO good.) The drinks took longer to get to us this time, and the pizza came before the meat and cheese board, which seemed odd? My daughter even went over to check on the whereabouts of the food and said the guy was working so carefully to prepare the meat and cheese board! So kudos to him for doing a good job. The bread and sliced meats on the board were good, as were the olives and honey. In the photo you can see that the cheese is all in chunks or grated, which made it sort of hard to eat. And it was a little weird to have the honey and mustard in plastic tubs. I wondered whether this might be a COVID thing. The Devil's pizza didn't have a lot of toppings on it, but that crust is so, so amazingly good. The kind of thing you think about at idle moments during the day...wishing you had some. Other than the peppers, the pizza isn't spicy--but the peppers are really spicy! Flavorful, though. I love that this place is open until midnight. We left not long before that, and there were a lot of people sitting and waiting for food, so I'm guessing they don't kick everyone out at midnight, but just stop taking orders? read more

This place is so good! I was super excited to finally get to try it. I ordered the chicken pesto pizza and it took me right back to Italy! I was very pleased with the quality and freshness of the ingredients, and it just tasted so darn good! Definitely recommend trying that pizza--I will have a hard time getting anything else. Aside from the great food, I really liked the atmosphere! They have fun music playing, a tree strung with lights, and a silent film projected on the wall. I was also impressed with how friendly the workers were. My only (small) complaint is that I went when it was a bit slow and some of the workers were sitting around while there were some dirty tables. Not a huge deal to me because there were plenty of places to sit, but just something I noticed. The pizza costs around $10-14, but the quality is definitely worth it and you can get two meals out of it. I can't wait to come back :) read more

We have been coming to Midici for over a year now, and have never had a bad experience in terms of food or service. Our go-tos are the sweet and spicy and the devil's, but we haven't had anything bad here. The pizza here is GOOD, don't get me wrong, the toppings are high quality, the crust is amazing, but because it is the Neapolitan style, the crust isn't always super crispy, it will seem soggy at times, and some people aren't aware of that. But this is Neapolitan style, so its different from CPK or Blaze or some of those other places, so I won't compare it to that, but it is some of the best Neapolitan style I've had along the Wasatch front. The first thing I want to hype about this place is the overall aesthetic. It's beautiful inside and one of the best features is how fancy and clean the bathrooms are. I also love the little inspirational/happy quotes on the mirrors in there. The trees and giant fire stoves make it feel like you're stepping into a different country. There was a time when our payment got mixed up due to a coupon and once we brought it to the attention of the staff, they were so helpful to fix it for us. The food is also super yummy and if I had to suggest 2 things it would be the vegan cheese pizza for all those lactose intolerant people out there, and the Nutella calzone with fresh berries!! Also I feel like this place is one of the only ones open in Utah past 10, lol. So if you're looking for a late night snack, this place is perfect! read more
