They aren't cheap but Uno is a Chicago area landmark. Our waitress was very friendly and made it a fun experience. We had Pizza Skins as an appetizer. These are mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon on a deep dish pizza crust. It sounds strange but they are surprisingly good. Their deep dish is more crust with less sauce, and I prefer it this way. The ambiance wasn't the nicest, and it appeared to be a little worn down in my opinion. It could stand for some remodeling. The service was decent. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. There were only 2 servers, and one of the servers was working the bar as well. The service was a little slow, but they were accommodating. For example, the person I was with didn't know the beef on the menu wasn't beef sausage, so he asked them to take the beef out of the pizza. They did it for him. The food was okay. The calamari was good, but I wish they had an aioli to put on it instead of the marinara sauce. The wings were fried well. the pizza was good, but it needed more seasoning. Service was friendly and prompt. Debbie was helpful with our order and made helpful suggestions. It was pretty empty but we also had a late dinner (almost 10pm). Lots of booth seating and regular tables and chairs. It's been awhile since I've had Unos. We ordered a large deep dish veggie and added green olives. It was pretty good although veggies can tend to add a lot of water. I would probably just stick with two veggies and add extra cheese next time. The corn crust and sauce are tasty. Nice sports bar theme in a airport hotel. I enjoyed wings and an individual deep dish pie to take back to the room. Beer was cold, staff was nice, and the food was better than expected. Had to stay at hotel due to some home renovation work and was so happy to see Unos Pizza attached on such a cold night (11-10-25) and long dat. We'll great spot to watch the game, several big screens, great servers, but noticed they all had their coats on, it was freezing in there! This Pizzeria Uno is inside the Comfort Suites hotel near the O'Hare airport. I was in town with my son, who was there for the world's largest furry convention, Midwest Furfest. All hotels near the convention center were sold out. The reason for this long preamble is that you find out a lot about a restaurant's management and staff when they are stress tested. They absolutely prepared in advance and they were outstanding. Now to the food. The potato "skins" were really not potato skins. It was a dish of mashed potatoes with tomato sauce, cheese, and bacon bits on top. It was ok, but I would rather have had actual potato skins with that on top. While I did not order pizza, I can attest that their pizza is true to their excellent reputation. During our stay, they placed pizza samples at the entrance. I came in around 7 during evening hours. It wasnt bustling but there was a family of 10 enjoying their. I ordered a beer from the bartender Issa and then ordered a small thin crust sausage with Breanne. Service was very timely and the food came out delicious. I came because friends had already picked this place but came with low expectations due to several mediocre reviews. Please heed the warnings. I ordered the individual veggie deep dish. I didn't take into account than an individual size might not have the best proportions for toppings to sauce ratio but sadly I was disappointed. The crust tasted like a firm biscuit from a can and the pizza sauce was already separating so there was a layer of water on top. Pizza itself was kinda bland like it needed salt or spices and the few ingredients that are included were just thrown on top like toppings on a soup. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't life changing either. A few locals and friends had warned me that deep dish wasn't like changing but felt like I had to try it. I'd revisit but definitely order a thinner crust and larger pizza to balance out the ingredients. Took a chance on this spot, and was happily surprised. I found out about it when it was featured as a Chicago Restaurant Week locale, and saved over $30. Attached to a Comfort Suites not far from O'Hare, there was plenty of parking in surrounding lot. The interior had high ceilings, a large bar area, and several booths and tables throughout. They've done a good job making it appear more like the original UNO's, and less like the chain ones. On a Sunday at five, there were seven or eight tables with families and couples, and we sat at the bar. Our bartender and server, Maciej, was incredibly sweet and efficient. He let us try a few beers on tap, including Deep Dish Daddy by Two Brothers, made for UNO's. We ordered a deep dish with pepperoni, sausage, and onions. It took 50 minutes, but well-worth it!(You can call in ahead of time to order if you want to save time.) The sauce was super light and fresh, and the sausage was delish, layered underneath. (You can order it crumbled, too.) The crust was not too thick or buttery, unlike other deep dish pizzas, but had enough crispness and flavor to be yummy. We also tried the thin crust pepperoni, which was decent, but paled in comparison. The buffalo wings were spicy and very meaty, and the salads were pretty basic- iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes, red onions and small croutons. We had leftover pizza and wings, and Maciej asked if we wanted two medium boxes vs. a huge one. We did! He graciously packed everything up and put our leftovers in a large, clear handled bag. The prices were Chicago hotel-ish, but I would definitely return, especially if waiting to pick up family from O'Hare, and/or to take out-of-towners for Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Excellent experience. I've had the terrible franchise versions of those horrible Chicago Uno Bar and Grill's in other parts of America. Thankfully, this new location in Schiller Park is serving the original recipe from Uno's. It's beautiful and spacious, and there's ample parking, unlike the downtown location. The service was good, too. If you've had those awful franchise Uno's pizzas from other locations in America, then you'll know right away from just the smell (let alone the taste) of this deep dish pizza that it's the original recipe. I had heard that this location had pizza that was more along the line of what the original Uno's served. So when an opportunity came up to check it out with a friend with whom I used to go to Uno's on Ohio with, we went ahead and tried it. And what I'll say is that the pizza at this Uno's was even better and more like the Uno's of old than what I last had the last time I went to Uno's downtown. Butter crust came through nicely - no cornmeal (such as what Malnati's adds upon request). The pizza was a little "wet" for me - but overall pretty solid. Staff was great - Maggie was our waitress and Mona Lisa - the cook - both were personable and nice to chat with. My friend and I always went to the one in Schaumburg so we were very excited to hear one was coming to our area. My first bit of advice is, do NOT get the crab shrimp dip. It came in a tiny looking pizza pan and it was thin as paper . It was so much oil and the bread it came with was so greasy and gross .
