I went to Dave & Buster's with my girlfriend to watch a boxing match a while ago maybe like a few months We asked for a table, and the girl at the front told us we couldn't eat because we didn't have IDs. I get that there might be rules about being underage since I was 16 at the time, but the way she handled it kind of made me frustrated. I tried asking a few questions to understand but she really didn't care. No effort to help, no manager, nothing. Just straight up dismissive, like she didn't want to deal with us. We were about to leave, but then I recognized another employee I had seen the day before. She was older and actually kind. I asked her if she could help us, and she ended up getting us seated and we were able to order food. Don't get me wrong I'm glad we were able to get seated but If we weren't allowed to eat because we were under 21, then how did we end up getting seated anyway? It just makes it feel like the first worker either didn't want to help, was having a bad day, or just didn't care at all. I didn't get her name, but I remember she wore a lot of makeup, Hispanic long hair, looks kinda Asian, wore leggings that day funny looking. When we finally sat down, we had to pay before eating, which I guess I understand for younger people, but it still added to everything feeling weird but either way if they know that I'm underage why would they have me paying first and why would I order a drink with alcohol in the first place. We were there from around 3 PM to 10 PM, and during that time we saw more issues. A family sitting next to us was complaining because the waiter was taking way too long which maybe was 15-30 min, and eventually they just left (the waiter was Hispanic with short hair, glasses and looks special. Then another family came in and had problems with seating. They were told certain tables were "reserved," (by the same guy btw) but it didn't even seem true because since we were there all day, we got to see who was there and what was going on with the waiters not being able to satisfy some of the customers. Finally after they had to ask multiple times before they were finally allowed to move to a better spot to watch the big screen. During this time, the same guy (Hispanic guy, short hair, I'm assuming maybe assistant manager or actual manager which would be crazy because he was unprofessional, special looking) was making me and my girlfriend uncomfortable because every time I would look around, I would see him already side eyeing me not in a mean way but in a weird way like if he knew we weren't supposed to be there or he was just bothered that we were they're and maybe even being pissed about customers complaining about the crevice. Overall, the whole place just felt unorganized and inconsistent. One worker tells you one thing, another does something completely different which I'm thankful for because if it wasn't for that lady, we would've just wasted our time. Customer service really depends on who you get, and that shouldn't be the case. Remember, I didn't get her name but the young lady at the front had a lot of makeup, fat,long hair, looks Asian, had leggings on. A friend had a birthday party here. She had an area reserved, and her party included 100 starter points or chips for games, appetizers and soft drinks/lemonade. She was allowed to bring in a cake and they had a table for her gifts. We never figured out the gaming part but that was ok with me. My daughter and I were disappointed because we couldn't get the Photo Booth to work. We do photo booths whenever we see them. We asked for help and learned that the machine doesn't take credit cards, only cash. You'd think they'd put up a sign so people would know that! The appetizers we had were pepperoni pizza bread, pigs in blankets, buffalo wings, pretzels, mozzarella sticks and sliders. The food was pretty good. I think gamers would like it here as there are a lot of options and they're always open and open late. read more

I had to talk to a manager to finally sit down. If the host thinks she can get away with this she miscalculated. I'm an attorney and I need to set an example to my kids so they know they should stand up against discrimination. I had a full Dave and Busters Day. First, I was here in the morning with a bunch of high school kids. It was an End of the Semester celebration for the Seniors and they were engaged in one of their STEM Play Academy, had unlimited playcards and an all you can eat buffet. Staff was great, food was good, and games were entertaining. The unlimited card was active all day and completing a survey gave me a free appetizer. So later in the evening I returned with my husband and child for dinner and more games. Besides, I had a ton of points I wanted my kid to redeem. Again, service was great and food hit the spot. Here is what your staff did to my family. Our server admitted to entering our order wrong. Food came out incomplete. When I asked to speak with a manager, the server raised his voice at me in the middle of the dining room. The manager on duty defended him instead of addressing us. My son, who has celiac disease, waited so long he ended up with 4 bites of food for his entire meal -- and what arrived wasn't even a full portion. That alone was unacceptable. But it didn't stop there. We were a mixed-race table and the same server referred to us as "those people" which felt racist to everyone there. I was outraged and immediately emailed corporate. When leaving the dining area, Itold the server I hoped his behavior was worth it because I emailed corporate about my experience. Within one minute I was approached by the assistant manager and two security guards and told that I had to leave. I explained that I could not simply leave -- my son is diabetic, was without food after waiting over an hour for an order your server admitted to entering incorrectly, and had no other adult responsible for him. The assistant manager's response? "I don't care. Not my problem." I was also threatened with having the police called and being arrested. I am a 43-year-old mother of two who has never been removed from an establishment in my life. He also refused to refund my son's game card -- for games he never got to play because we spent the entire time waiting for food that never came. Corporate's response to all of this? A free pass to come back. I will never set foot in a Dave & Buster's again. But I will keep sharing this story until it is taken seriously. A child's medical needs are not "not your problem." Racial dignity is not "not your problem." Do better. read more

We stopped at The Rose Hotel restaurant across from Dave and Busters (it was The Thorn). Before leaving the area, we stopped here and grabbed a drink at the bar. It was my first time here. It's your typical gaming place (like Bowlero or Main Event). There are a lot of noisy kids running around. Thankfully, kids are not allowed to sit at the bar. The drink was food, although I think the bartender main it extra strong. I could feel it after this one drink. It was the Dangerous Waters Island Punch. It had coconut rum, pineapple juice, citrus mix, etc. Our bartender was nice. They had some sports games on the TVs. The bar was clean. We weren't there long, but no complaints. During my visit, I encountered several troubling issues:   - An employee at the prize counter, Max, who exhibited poor personal hygiene and was discourteous, failing to greet or acknowledge customers. Very racist and rude. - A bartender who was rude and unprofessional in their conduct.   - Most concerningly, I witnessed the bar manager serving alcohol with an expired license and responding to concerns with a dismissive and inappropriate attitude.  Telling them "don't make me scream at you again" I contacted guest relations twice regarding these matters but unfortunately received no meaningful support or resolution.   Food service was also horrendous. I came to this Dave & Buster's for my youngest brother's birthday and we had a good time. The reason I say good time is because 4 hours went by & we forgot how long we were there. We ate and played games too. A bit pricey for the games but overall my brother had a good time so it was worth it. Probably wouldn't by first option next time. The food exceeded my expectations, I wasn't really expecting too much food wise. I ordered the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich and it was top notch, I appreciated that. Overall, nothing was super special or out of this world, pretty mid-experience. The last thing that did stand out was the manager walking around asking if we were having a good time. Bf and I went for a date night but the food was really disappointing. The spicy smashburger had no flavor not even salt and pepper. Also you can't choose how you would like your burger cooked, they make them all well-done. The fish and chips were just battered fish with no flavor as well. Just tasted like hot oil with a weird mayo dipping sauce which was supposed to be tartar sauce. The only good dish we had were the pot stickers which had a nice chili crisp on top and savory soy dipping sauce. I will say the service and our waiter was amazing. Shoutout to Kaleb for being attentive, nice, and kind even though he was crazy busy!!! He was so kind we didn't want to complain. We never expected amazing food since it's a bar, but the food was disappointing and expensive. We ended up paying $75 for two entrees an app and 1 drink. I spent $65 on an offer for credit at Dave and Buster. The offer clearly stated that the amount paid will never expire. I went into this store, and first, the manager looked at me with complete disdain because she had to provide me some customer service. Then, after about ten minutes of her fumbling through the screens, she finally told me the offer was expired and that she was not going to help me in any way to redeem the original amount paid for the promotion. DNB was 1st introduced by my best friend, and the first DNB that I've went to was the one from the south side. After that one, I've been looking for any nearest DNB, before I found out this particular one. Since then, I've enjoyed coming here (somewhat) often. This particular DNB is the easiest for me to go by public transportations. It took me about 20, 30, or 40 mins to get there (from station to arcade). Depending the buses' delaying, slow, and time calculating mistakes; it will took me 1 hr to get to my destination otherwise. What I love about this place is not only the games, but also the bar and the pool table inside. Even at the prize redemption center, there are a lots of interesting stuff you can claim. However, I still have to give this place an okay review based on what I've experienced before. #1: (One day) for some reason, their pool table is somehow not available. I try to look for it through the whole arcade, and there is nothing. Then I ask the employees about it, and they told me that the pool table has moved out just for a temporarily of time. Which they didn't specified when it will be back. #2: The bar or the cafe area has a lot of interesting foods & drinks on the menu. You can sit on booths or bars (wherever you like). Talking about eating, I really don't understand why it always took so long for the bartender, server, or whoever is working at the bar to check what I want?. Sometimes ago, I ordered and finished my meal, then I was expecting someone to give me the bill, so that I could pay it. However, It took then about 30 mins-1 hour to come here and check am I'm done or not?. In general, I suggest the bar should have 2 or 3 people working instead of 1. #3: This is happening from my latest time at DNB: As usual, I went to the arcade, charge my arcade card, play some games, and go to the redemption center for claiming a prize. Unfortunately, by the time I reach into my pocket, I cannot find my card. (I remembered) it turns out I've accidentally drop it, by reaching my pocket for my phone and the card somehow pull it out without me knowing. After I realized that, I go look around everywhere that I've walked. I still cannot find it however, so I ask an employee to help me look around from the security camera. But guess what they have told me?, They said they cannot do it!. They instead tell me they are "sorry about what has happened to me". -First of all, I'm not mad at them because of my accident. What I'm mad about, is that they cannot do what they could do for helping. I'm lucky that I just lost my game card, but what If I (or someone) lost something valuable?: such as their phone, keys, wallet, etc.. I love Dave and Busters! This location is so convenient, but it's my least favorite to go to since a lot of the machines I normally play at were down or missing balls. The food was okay too. Wings were decent, but pretty pricey for the amount. Fries were good- Hot and crispy. And the flatbread was alright too. Maybe more people go to this location which is why the machines needed maintenance, but I think I'll stick to the Chicago Dave and Busters location. read more

This was our first time going to this Dave and Busters location and we had a blast! I had a $100 gift card from work and then I bought 2 of the 400 chip cards for all 4 of us going to share. There were two adults and two teens (14 years old) in our group and we all had fun for a little over 3 hours. We came early (around 3pm) so it was busy but luckily not as busy as I thought. We didn't eat at this location but we did buy a few non alcoholic drinks from the bar and I had no issues. We secured a booth early on so we can take breaks here and there from playing, so that was definitely a plus. Only minor issue was the guy at the counter had a bad attitude (white guy and he was wearing an arm brace). I went to redeem my gift cards I received from work that were emailed to me and he kept mumbling snide comments like "oh you're making me work this time because of your cards" but not in a funny way. I asked to add on the two 400 chip cards and he made another comment about having to accommodate me, but I don't remember the exact words. I asked him how things worked bc I haven't been to a D&B in years (since there was actual tickets) and he just pointed at their little notice there indicating how many chips per card. I could tell he didn't want to help or offer any info so I just stopped asking anything more. I know working face to face isn't always a good experience but I was in no way being a jerk to him and he was rude the entire time.. My son brought me here for Father's Day. We entered through the front and went to the desk for assistance. We stood at the desk for 1-2 mins as a young male and female had a discussion and shared some laughs. Me and my son just stood there as they enjoyed their conversation. Finally, the young female finished her conversation and asked how she could assist us. We needed a new players card, so the young lady told us to go to the next counter. So we walked 10 feet to a counter that didn't have a worker. We waited there 2 mins, the same young lady came back and told us someone will be there to help us. A manager came by shortly to assist, and he was fantastic. We explained what happened, and he took care of everything. My son and I had a some beers and played a couple of games. Avoid this location at all costs. The staff is rude, non professional, just no good and terrible. I purchased the summer pass for my children, which offers 20% off of food purchases, excluding alcoholic beverages. I placed an order and gave my phone number, so that the discount could be applied. I believe I would have had better luck asking them to solve peace in the Middle East. The server said she couldn't do it, so I suggested she find someone who could. A manager came over, and told me that he, too, doesn't know how to do it, and after about twenty minutes, he was able to take 1.99 off of a $45 dollar bill, that included no alcohol. Telling me he just "puts it in the machine, and that's what happened". I explained that that isn't 20%, and I'd wait until he could get it fixed. after another twenty minutes he had writes on my bill a new correct total, and I was confused as to why he just didn't cancel the order and create a new one altogether. Any way, the charge for the original amount went through, and I had to put up a fuss with both Dave and Busters and my bank to get it remedied. They had the audacity to act as if it was an imposition to do their jobs. Never ever ever will I patronize this business again. The food, with the notable exception of the quesadillas leave a lot to be desired. It is not good, the service is terrible, and the staff are awful and just seem miserable, and want to make sure you are as miserable as them. Ugh. read more

This is place is understandably loud! We had a party of 10. The servers and hostess were friendly and engaging. The food was decent for being a chain. I had the Cobb salad and felt it was a good size and full of fresh ingredients. I would have preferred grilled chicken over chicken nuggets though. I thought my drink was very weak and mostly tasted like juice. There was no free dessert or anything for birthdays. My biggest frustration was the game card situation. I had an old card that I paid for and no longer worked with their system. I was informed I had to buy a new card for $3 just to transfer my points! What? Our waitress brought our drinks, took our order for the food, then I had to get the manager to find her because the waitress never came back. We left a $85.29 gratuity which was way too much and not deserved. As a group we do not go out often, but this kind of service is unacceptable.
