We did, however, encounter communication mishaps such as delayed responses and some confusion and part of it was my mistake as I still haven't updated my Yelp account to my current legal name. We got that straightened out but communication still didn't improve much. I understand we're all busy (especially their weekends) but I wanted all the details and planning squared away ahead of the event to get it out of the way. It was anxiety-inducing for me. I contacted several balloon companies and while most of them either didn't get back to me at all or quoted me outrageous prices, Jasmina was the only one who was responsive and kind. We got on a phone call where she explained her prices and the process involved in making a balloon arch installation. She sent a proposal the same day and her prices are fair. I want to note that it takes houuuurrsss to build a single arch (I've tried it before and never again lol) and I know there's a balloon shortage too. Expect that any balloon arch won't be cheap, but boy do they make a statement! My bridal shower was boho themed and Jasmina was able to create the balloon arch of my dreams! I skipped the pampas and rattan peacock chair (which she can offer btw) to fit my low budget, but the result was still AMAZING. He is talented and professional. He was a pleasure both on the booking and coordination side, as well as on the entertaining end as well. He arrived early and stayed late. Most importantly, he is really great with the kids, so it was not surprising to learn that he deals with kids all day at his usual 9-5. He did a great job organizing the kids by assigning them numbers, so they didnt have to wait in a line, especially since every piece he created took some time to do. On the talent side, he cares about his craft and definitely doesnt mail it in. For example, the simple balloon sword was a very study helix blade and he even made a balloon belt holder for the kids as well! He also had some pretty creative suggestions for kids that couldnt decide on what they wanted, like a jet pack. Loni is a true professional, she recommended the best Singing Elsa even though she could have saved the job for herself. Queen Elsa's zoom was jaw dropping!!! I rented The Creative for my daughter's first birthday party on Saturday, 2/12 and would NEVER rent…read morethis venue again or recommend it to anyone. I started working with Sarah, one of the owners, 6 months prior to the party. She was friendly, flexible and accommodating to our requests. On the day of the party we arrived to the venue an hour early and were shocked at the condition it was in. The windows were dirty, dust and cobwebs were on the window sills and walls, the linen was incredibly wrinkly, and the bathroom was DISGUSTING. There was hair and grime in the sink, the floors were filthy, a half roll of toilet paper on the roll and a piece of a tampon wrapper on the ground. It was apparent that no one had bothered to clean before we came. To make matters worse, the prep space for our caterer was completely inhabitable. The prep table was covered in their belongings, the sinks were full of wrapped dishes and the floor had not been swept or mopped. The worst part of the kitchen was the DIRTY DISHES with food left in the hallway on top of a molded sink. The only mop available had been sitting in dirty mop water for what looked like a week or two. We called Sarah who had just gotten out of surgery, so she gave us the number for Kayla, one of the other owners. I explained the situation, sent her all of the photos only to never hear from her again. Sarah did come by the venue 30 minutes after the party had started to have her daughter tidy up the bathroom (clean the sink and sweep). I later on had to go through the other rooms just to find toilet paper for our guests. At the party we were told she would be talking to the other owners about the refund. I followed up with her on Tuesday with no response. She texted me the next day, Wednesday, saying she would be speaking with her team and will get back to me that evening. I didn't hear anything so I texted her on Friday with no response and again on Sunday. They ultimately decided that out of the $700 we paid for the venue, we were only getting $100 back. When we reminded her of all of the photos and inhabitable condition the venue was in, their only response was that we used the space and because she let us come in the night before to set up, they were already being more than accommodating. As a business, I can't wrap my mind around being proud of the product that they presented and not owning any fault to how disgusting the venue really was. I would never recommend anyone to book this venue and hope no one else has this experience in the future.

I asked when I'd get my refund, she took a few days to answer, and only responded after another text. She said 7-10 business days. I've followed up with her and no response. I had to contact her from another number and she quickly responded, but when I told her who I was she just kept making excuses new phone, out of town, etc. She said she would get back to me, and gave me a new number for her and the "new" owner. That was over 7 days ago. No response from either of them. It's been over a month and no refund. I followed their policy and nothing. I am now hearing I am not the only person to have issues with them when it comes to money. I would never recommend this place. Which is sad because Dixon needs a place like this. But the business is shady, and unresponsive. Bad business and bad for our city. I will not attend events here either, so other businesses will lose out on business as well. I'd give them no stars if I could.
