Contacted him through facebook and they didnt respond for a day. Told me he would come by around 4pm for a quote. Never showed. We sent him pictures and he said roughly $250-$300. He gets here (supposed to be here at 3pm, shows up at 5pm) and LOOKS at everything and says $300. I agree. Then he tells me hes tired and has been working all day. Then gets irritated and says he cant do it all for $300... he jacked it up to $600 and says it was it was all supposed to be out of the garage. NEVER SAID THAT. Then when my husband comes out, just to meet him, he gets an attitude and argues with him saying he'll just leave it all "boss". He doesn't need our money. After calling around to a few companies and receiving quotes for a couple hundred dollars I reached out to PJ's. He came over and gave a reasonable estimate ($150) for quite a big load of junk, even my husband was surprised! We agreed on a day and he was able to come by while I was at work. PJ and his crew were finishing up when I got home and it looked amazing! I know he used to do landscaping as well so I asked ahead of time if he could blow the yard a little for me as well. They did a decent job, but it took 4 days for them to remove their filled trash cans from my front yard. The only complaint I have, is that I was quoted a certain amount by the photos I sent in and when they got there, they tried telling me that this wasn't included, that wasn't included, this will be more, etc. If you want a quote from them, have them come look at the job and not just quote it from pictures. It seemed as though the issue is that he underestimated the size of the job and wasn't prepared to take everything for the price he quoted. read more

THIS BUSINESS IS IN VALLEJO, CA I heard good things about this business from our local FB page. Unfortunately, I can't say the same. I made an appointment for him to remove a tree that had split and fallen on my driveway, blocking my car and also my front door. I had called other businesses as well, but when Phillip Semano called me back, I accepted his offer, since I'd heard good things about his work. Even though it was a holiday, he assured me he would be out at 7:30 AM the following day to cut up and remove the tree. Based on that, I made plans to have family over for a barbecue and then use my car to drive to a 4th of July celebration. The agreed upon morning, I was outside at 7:30 AM (since my front door was inaccessible). I waited past 7:45, 8:00, finally, 45 minutes late, I got a text: "Good morning..I'm not able to make it this morning. I apologize.. my wife made other plans with sharing them and I'll have to reschedule.. I apologize" I responded, very politely under the circumstances, saying I was disappointed, and that if I had known, I could have made other arrangements. I received no response. Nothing. Crickets. No attempt to try and rectify the situation whatsoever. Nothing but his very hollow TEXT apology. He didn't even have the manners or integrity to call me. I don't understand why he didn't at least let me know the night before or even a minute prior to the appointment time. Did he just find out about these "plans" already 45 minutes late? I've waited now for now than an hour for some kind of response, but I doubt there will be any at this point Needless to say, I don't recommend his services! read more

OK so I have to be honest here folks. I am not one to complain, but I had a less than stellar experience with PJ's Hauling today. He came well recommended on FB, that's why I chose them. BUT... I reached out for an estimate, sent a picture of my side yard where everything was in view. He asked a couple questions, gave a bid of 180 and we negotiated 150. He set a time for 1pm the next day. He texted me and said he was stuck in line @ the dump for a couple hours and prob wouldn't make it in time. His first response was that "We haven't put this project in stone". WHAT? You gave a time of 1pm and I said he should keep his commitment, but I understood and said later is fine. He made the excuse that it is the line @ the landfill causing the delay, not him. Well I am sorry bro, i have been the dump and NEVER got through a line in and out in less than 2 hours. You need to plan for that delay in scheduling your appointments. He then said he had 3 other customers saying the same thing to him. Again don't see where that is the customers fault. Still NO APOLOGY !! HE Blamed it on the landfill place. He then said maybe u need to seek another hauler today, to get the job done. My response was I am not that "guy" i won't take away your business. Let's do it first thing in the morning the next day. He said fine.. OK. Chapter 2. He set 730-830 window, showed up @ 821am. OK cool... so I had moved a few more boxes and a chair to the driveway, he proceeded to load that... then i said let's get to the side yard. He was like what? this was the pic i sent... the load was in plain view a big pile of boxes, tree trimmings few bags of clothes and odds and ends. He walked back and said heck no... that's not a $150 job. I said this is what was in the pic. HE became kinda rude and accused me of misrepresenting the load.. Hello dude you have a picture. Anyway he became more short with me like it was all my fault... said this is $250 job, and he's not really even interested. I thought that was kinda rude, I was willing to pay more, but not almost double the quote !! I offered $220, which with the inconvenience, seemed totally fair. He said it's not worth his time. I totally felt he was trying to "bully" me to paying more almost a bait and hook... Some people may pay the extra $$. Sorry dude. You lost the business over $30 - that was your call. He took the little load from the driveway, said that was for the delay, it was no charge. But the rest of the job he didn't want to do. Moral of this story. Don't overbook your jobs, Be on time. Accept responsibility, for your business. Don't blame others for your shortcomings. Be apologetic to your customers when YOU inconvenience them. Honor your commitments. Don't be rude to your customers. . Don't think you can bully people. If you are going to give an estimate, give a range, don't commit without seeing in person.... Learn how to negotiate. Give a time window, that allows for a delay. Its shame to me, it could have had a better outcome had he been more reasonable...I would not recommend this company based on my experience. LESSON LEARNED I HOPE ! Please read Phillips response.... its very good reading !! Do notice his lack of humilty and pretentious rhetoric... And a clear indication of his lack of professionalism. Also funny how he does not mention that I was more than willing to pay $220, not the original $150, not the $250, but a fair $220. I am all about supporting local and family run business, but if you continue to treat people like this and bait and switch people, good luck sir. UPDATE - I got another gentleman to book the job, willing to negotiate, and work with us, not against us... and your last comment to me if I recall, was good luck fidning someone willing to do this job for $400-$500. I was doing you a favor @ $250... well sir... thanks for the favor, I was able to support a local businessman and will recommend him for any future work. OK... PJ continues to rebut so allow me to retort sir.... Actually sir... I did provide a great review to Miguel's Hauling and Junk Removal... he was professional prompt and polite... he negotiated a price that we agreed upon and stuck to his quote! I fully support small businessmen and local family owned businesses. I give HONEST ratings good bad or indifferent. I use Yelp often and take all ratings with a grain of salt. But if someone does well I recognize Them more often than if I got poor service. I guess the moral of the story is "provide great service so that there is never a doubt!!" read more
