Hit the beach this morning for a walk and made a detour into Pier Park just because...and that's when i stumbled across one of my favorite coffee spots, PJ's! I fell in love with PJ's in New Orleans, so seeing one in PCB now is a welcome sight. My go to here is always a Cold Brew with almond milk and SF mocha. Sadly they don't have mocha at this location, but the SF vanilla hits almost the same. Not a fancy coffee order, but it's classic, hits the spot and treats me well every time! This spot is located in the center of Pier Park next to Crocs. They have a great outdoor seating area plus a few window seats and tables inside. The space is clean, bright and well kept. Service was just okay. The barista didn't talk much, but she was efficient. So, I can't complain about getting coffee in hand with quickness. Overall, love me some PJ's and while I am not at Pier Park often, I am happy to know it's here! read more

My husband needed a caffeine boost, so we decided to stop at PJ's for that boost. He is a caramel lover but he couldn't resist the New Orleans inspired King Cake Latte , he was very pleased with his choice! They had breakfast options and pastries besides coffee and Lattes. made drink completely wrong and insisted they made it correctly when i get the same drink every time. its close by my job only reason i go. very rude staff. they seem like it makes them mad to add things to drinks. a 13 dollar wrong drink stings a little. especially served with a bad attitude. read more

I didn't try the coffee myself, but my entire family did--and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. They're regular PJ's customers at home and usually enjoy it, but everyone agreed this location's coffee was terrible, to the point that more than half of each drink ended up being thrown away. When we walked in, there was no one else in line, yet the drinks still took a while to be prepared. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, but overall the experience was far below what we expect from PJ's. read more

2 visits! Not a single good coffee for me. The hubbys hot coffee day before yesterday was ok. Mine, not so much. Wasn't even hot, barely warm and tasted like nothing, 50% or more milk. Decided to give them another shot today with cold beverages. Hubs drank half the espresso holiday drink. Not good. But at least they made it semi correct. WAY too much ice so cream wouldn't fall, sat on top of the ice. Mine was the peppermint holiday frozen. Barely peppermint, barely flavor. Very light colored so barely any coffee. See pictures because idc what mood you are in, make your drinks accurate. There was zero reason she didn't top mine with whipped topping, chocolate sauce, and peppermints like the photo. Girl working at 3 today didn't seem to want to be there and was much more concerned with her conversation she was having while making the drinks. Just not good! We will not try again. This place is worth stopping for. As in, you might end up making beach trips just to get your hands on their beignets. The beignets are hot, fresh, and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. I give them a 15/10. Their coffee products are pretty good as well. Run, and do not walk to PJ's Coffee! read more

Okay, so I've never been here before and I was excited to try their coffee and beignets with my boyfriend but the lady at the counter was so rude to us acting as if we were a burden to her, side eyeing us to her co-worker because we had to take a look at the menu for like 2 seconds. Staff was all in the back so took a few to get someone's attention. Possibly a manager and a guy on a ladder at the door scraping the window ads off. Bignets were hot and fresh, fried to order. The coffee how ever was awful. I run a coffee shop and bakery myself and have managed several over the years. My Latte was very weak in both espresso and flavoring ( I ordered the pecan praline and he ordered a mocha both hot). His tasted like a cup of hot chocolate. There was not even a hint of coffee flavor in either. I suggest a convenience store auto machine latte rather than what PJs calls coffee. Skip it. read more

Came here on our second day of vacation. Their large was smaller than a solo cup and their coffee was so expensive. We got 2 frozen coffees and it ended up being $24. Their coffee is mid it just wasn't worth the price. read more

I was so excited for this coffee shop to open, and my expectations were high. It is safe to say those expectations were met. The staff was so sweet and informing, they offered me and my mom free samples of their beignets, which were absolutely phenomenal. They took a few minutes to come out because they are made fresh and the staff were so quick! I went back and bought 6 additional beignets, they are definitely a must have! Me and my parents will definitely be back every Sunday after church for such a peaceful and relaxed environment with great food, coffee, and sweet people! read more

( happened 7/24/25 at around 5:30pm) We walked in after walking a long time and my mom walked in needing to use the restroom. Being as we weren't going to purchase anything she asked for permission to use their restroom. They told her yes and she thanked them after. I was going to go in and one of the girls working started briskly walking for the restroom, cut in front of me, then came out and she said something along the lines of sorry it's blocked or clogged she then laughed with her friend. I wasn't really paying attention to what she said because I could tell by her face it meant I couldn't use it, so I didn't ask for clarification. My dad came back in after I told him what happened and they were still making jokes about me and said oh no her dad is in here. He told them how rude it was, not only that but it was also extremely unprofessional of them. They had literally given us permission and allowed us to use it then once my family left to wait for me, they decided to be rude, mean girls. Hope that you both see this! There has been LOADS of hype about all the fancy things you can get in the coffees here. As a local I tend to avoid Pier Park, but I finally had a reason to be there and was very excited to try it. I don't know what member of management has trained/pressured the staff to run out as soon as a customer appears, but it was the beginning of the sadness for me. The menu is massive, and it was my first time so I would have liked to take my time and check it out. And I was kind of perusing the pastry/sandwich case. But I felt rushed so I ended up ordering just a mocha velvet something and a 3-count beignets. The coffee was ready quickly but had a sticker on it that said no whip and I didn't know whip was an option but I would have liked it. And honestly it needed the help because it was very bitter. I was with someone, and two coffees and two 3-count orders of beignets was $50 and at least 20 minutes. I don't know why they didn't drop 6 and then plate them 3 and 3 and top accordingly rather than doing them back to back and making us wait while the first order's toppings melted. The beignets called s'mores...there was no taste of graham crackers or marshmallows. There was a white sauce that maybe is supposed to be marshmallow. The chocolate element is a drizzle of sad syrup. Another disappointment. The way the counters are laid out, any time I tried to look around at the decor or anything I ended up making awkward eye contact with a staff member as if I was pressuring them to make the second order of beignets faster or something. All in all, I don't plan on going back. Maybe tell staff to wait until customers go from the cold case to the register before approaching unless they look like they have a question. And maybe drop six beignets into the fryer at a time rather than making people wait for two orders of three back-to-back. I don't know what to say about the bitter coffee. Maybe a different flavor like crème brûlée or bananas foster would add the sweetness needed to offset that, which I saw on the menu while waiting for beignets and wish I'd tried instead. I'm not saying don't go. Everyone has their own preferences. But maybe check out the menu online or something and have plenty of time and money to spend. read more
