1st time in the drive-thru. Thought we'd have a couple of breakfast sammies & a carmelmachioto. The drink was not mixed whatsoever, the woman at the window wanted to know if we wanted napkins, seriously??? Who eats without em? No straw given & our drink wasn't mixed AT ALL, TASTED AWFUL! I typically like to check out Yelp reviews before hitting up coffee shops and restaurants while on vacation. I did that for Starbucks in the PCB area and YIKES!! Reluctantly I decided to roll the dice on this location. Admittedly I was on the defense before even stepping on the premises, expecting rude staff, inaccurate orders and general atmosphere of apathy. Surprise, I was wrong. Debbie was working the register. She was calm, patient and served my wife's drip coffee with a smile. Guy with tied up dreds (missed his name) was super efficient mixing up expresso based drinks. He had a positive, focused energy I appreciate at most Starbucks I frequent. Thx for caring despite people throwing shade every time you forget a straw. Anyway, like with most places on Yelp reviews are usually motivated by the negative experience during a rush. What can I say....a Starbucks is a Starbucks. You go in there to get an overpriced coffee and go on your merry way. This location was very clean and tidy. The staff were very nice and kind. The best part is that the music that they were playing were Disney songs. Lol I do not know about you but who does not like jamming to that. If you've been to a Starbucks, you've been to them all. This one is no different. Same drinks and products, with friendly cheerful baristas. I came in here to seek shelter from the howling wind and rain and ordered a small (forgive me, I forget all their fancy size titles) Peppermint Mocha. It was delicious and warmed me right up. Typical starbucks overall. But, this seemed to be one of the only coffee shops open on a weekend and it was a zoo! To be expected in Pier Park so that was ok, but it was difficult to get any work done in here. Starbucks has horrendous two-year old coffee, and they are renowned for burning their beans, the scorching coming through in every cup, but they DO have killer locations for those who don't know coffee, cover up the horrific taste with all kinds of flavors, mochalattefrappawhatnot, and want free internet. This one has an outdoor area where you can smoke and use the internet after buying something inside, so I purchased a coffee, used the restroom, ordered an accompanying ice water, went outside and grabbed an early morning seat at the tables out front, used the coffee for an ashtray, drank the iced water, and had a field day of free internet. This Starbucks is in a very busy part of PCB, pier park. There is limited seating inside and during the tourist season it gets crazy busy. Parking is difficult so if you need your coffee and are sick of making circles looking for a spot...drive up around the corner to Target. Target has a Starbucks inside and Wayyy more parking. read more

I am very disappointed in this particular Starbucks. First of all, the staff is not overly friendly and a few are downright rude. On one visit the Caramel Macchiato I ordered was terrible. It was not sweet at all. They must have omitted something. Didn't realize it until we had gotten down the road. The next one I got was a little over half full and was not even hot. I agree with another reviewer about this place being towards the bottom of the list of Starbucks visited. The place was clean and the drinks were good, but one of the baristas couldn't have been more rude. It's off season, so they had maybe one other customer aside from my friends and I. We all ordered drinks, and one of the guys went outside to smoke. After a few minutes, he poked his head in (literally, while holding his cigarette as far away as possible, to not let in any smoke) to ask one of us if his drink was done, and before anyone could answer, the barista told him to go outside and shut the door because it's cold outside. I work at the Grand theatre next to this Starbucks, so I come to this store multiple times a week. Even when lines are long- which they understandably are especially during events in Pier Park and holidays- service is always pleasant and quick. The baristas are always friendly and attentive to the drinks, and the store is always clean and well-stocked. It does have limited seating and parking, however it's location makes it a good place to stop by while out shopping or enjoying the weather. read more

This location is definitely towards the very bottom of the list of Starbucks I've visited. The staff are okay-not overly friendly, but not rude either. The only problem we've encountered is one barista that questioned my dislike of foam and tried to argue his way out of correcting my drink. My major complaint about this store is the lack of cleanliness. The floors, tables, windowsills, and bathrooms have been consistently filthy each time. Will I return? I have never been more irritated by poor customer service in my life. Upon ordering 3 grande iced coffees and having my order repeated back to me, I was given 3 venti hot coffees. I then told the barista that there had been a mistake and that my order was incorrect. She then looked at me and said in a very haughty tone "You know, if you want your coffee cold you have to ask for it iced." This struck me as very rude and abrupt. I myself have worked in several coffee shops and it is a common rule to always put the customer and their needs first. Even if the customer is in the wrong, you bend over backwards in order to serve them and make their experience a good one. This barista did neither. I was not in the wrong and her attitude has made me sure to seek out a different coffee shop that has good customer service and coffee that does not taste like cigarette ash. read more

Stopped by pier park Starbucks for a quick coffee. Ordered after employee making us re-walk through the proper line flow. (There was not a line waiting to order, so we walked straight up to the register.) she was very stressed out acting. After ordering we walked down to wait on our drinks. Several people came in after us and ordered and had received their drinks. After a 10 minute wait and several people later we felt something was wrong. We made the barista aware and he acted as if it was not a problem and continued making other people's drinks. After another 10 minute wait we went back to the register. Following proper line flow even though no one was in line and ask what was wrong. The lady that took our order previously frantically cut off the nice lady whom was explaining and rudely explained how this was not their fault and treating us as hostile customers. I looked at the nice lady, wanting to continue to deal with her, and she started nicely trying to explain again with the frantic lady being rude and sharp with us again. I finally just ask for a refund & walked out. How hard is it to apologize and make our drinks right then. They need to get rid of the frantic crazy lady!!! Made our relaxing coffee experience stressful and moot. :( we left 25 mins later without coffee and told off. What a jerk! read more
