The walking/biking path is excellent and nicely shaded due to all the old growth trees. The playground, splash pad, restrooms, and baseball/soccer fields appear to be well taken care of and I've never felt unsafe while running through. I'd give it five stars if Dearborn didn't get all rude and uptight about the way they run their parks.

The playground is huge and looks like so much fun for children. There's also a gated waterpark right next to the play ground called H20 Spray park. Not sure when it opens to the public but I believe you do have to pay to enter. As you walk further down, you'll see a concession stand and another building with outside seating along with a hanging sign that says Westand Lions Club. And There's a pond area with a fountain in the middle. Lastly, there's a soccer field with a 2 lane track going around it - 1 lap is 0.5mi. There are many beautiful and family-friendly parks from east to west along the riverfront. The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy has done a great job of developing and expanding the Detroit riverfront into a beautiful space encouraging community engagement, outdoor events, and other activities.
