It's a great idea, but the execution is just meh. My kids spend most of the time standing around or doing what I would just be bored out of mind doing. Pros. Original idea, indoor, price is reasonable. Cons. Website is horrible, billing is ridiculously confusing, staff can be misleading with info over the phone. I think Free Flow could be great if they actually had someone who cares manage it. As a matter of fact I don't think it's actually managed by anyone.

During Cruise Night, all of Lincoln Way is closed off to thru traffic. With tons of cars and vendors, you won't be bored. Plus there are lots of shops and restaurants too. Hubs usually comes with a group of pals to show off their cars. Stop by if you get a chance, next year though, since I'm writing on the last night!

Quarry Park in Rocklin is a great space. It's huge and open, with a fair amount of trees for shade and even an outdoor amphitheater/stage. That would be nice for the live music... except there wasn't any :( The crowd was a lot smaller and spread out, and there was twice as much seating as Oak Park's venue (not including the grass area). It was also a lot more kid friendly than the one at Oak Park, and even featured a crafting area. There were virtually no lines for the half a dozen food vendors, but sadly no vegan options except for Conscious Creamery's sweet treats. A couple of the artisans from Gather: Oak Park were there, and a couple new ones too. I love supporting local, but I didn't really see anything that sparked my interest. All in all it's a good concept with a lot of room for improvement. In comparison to Oak Park's Gather, my preference is to make the drive out for that one instead- but I wouldn't rule out coming back here again in the fall.

We parked next door in a church parking lot accepting donations fir parking so that made it easy to lug our 10lb bags of mandarins lol. My favorite display was a guy carving wood sculptures with a chain saw. Also had a Reeses's peanut butter mocha and cobbler which were yummy. Unfortunately the mandarins were more tart than sweet so ideally this should have been delayed to prolong the growing season. Overall this was still a nice little event and i would come back next year.

I'm sure each booth had to pay a fee just to setup. There was no additional value for paying an entrance fee except for the opportunity to buy stuff. I was hoping there would be a craft for kids or something interesting to participate in. I recommend passing on this festival in the future, it was a waste of time and money for me. Instead, find a local fruit stand and buy oranges locally. For a mandarin milkshake, I'd go to a local diner in the area.

Sunset River Band is an outstanding cover band that plays all your favorite songs from the 70's,…read more80's and takes you back to simpler times. The lead singer has a huge voice that is outstanding and is always consistent and wears a lot of hats that suits her songs. The bass player gets the bass going strong, the lead guitarist never misses a note and the drummer gets the beat going hard. I would highly recommend this band for any event. They are one of the hottest bands in Sacramento area. If you have a chance to see them they do have FB page and you won't want to miss this band. I give them definitely a consistent 5 star rating....fellow Yelp Elites get out and hear this band spread the word and you will love them and probably see me dancing on the floor....:)
