    Chicken Marsala (split portion)
    Morgan H.

The Club Car is a happening place to be in Auburn. They offer a large bar, a stage, and plenty of seating with friendly service all around. We split the chicken marsala and for just a small split plate up-charge you actually get quite a bit of food. There was lots of sauce on the plate and the chicken was tender and juicy. I'd return to try some bar fare or the burgers too!

Sat quickly, served fast, delicious and unique martinis! I love that theyre served in a coupe glass so they dont spill. The cream top was delicious and they were very strong pours. Lovely place to grab drinks and i hear there performances on the stage at night. So fun!

The Club Car turns out to be a great place to eat off the Main Street of cute and adorable Auburn. A friend who lives there told me about it and I was excited to try it. I've not explored Auburn much more than the obvious main stream haunts. This turns out to be more of a locals destination and my new go to when Im in Auburn. We sat at the bar which always entertaining and ordered some small plates and drinks. I regretted not ordering the home made potato chips but my waist said thank you. A busy spot but run well with yummy menu items.

Lunch yesterday after golf was good. I had the Bacon, avocado burger with a green salad & per usual blue cheese dressing. About noon when we arrived & the hostess had a couple tables reserved but sat us in front section closest to the sidewalk. Service was quick and I had a frosty Knee Deep Breaking Bud draft delivered stat! Extensive food and drink menu. Burgers were cooked med as requested quality meat,so tall with all the fixings a fork was required & probably half a ripe avo made this a full meal. Salad was a good starter with arugula & a mixture of course cut veggies with extra blue cheese dressing brought pronto. Fourth visit & only suggestion would be to upgrade the heavy worm, somewhat greasy floor (especially in the entrance). Popular place with live music & some really good house made potato chips , french dip, mushroom & regular cheese burges consumed by my fellow golfer's at the table. Will be back.

I am not a biiiig sandwich person, so I ended up getting the Asian wings! Can't go wrong with wings. The fries/sides that come with the sandwiches looked really yummy though!

EXCELLENT food, service all the above, my girlfriend and I stumbled across this place after our massages and man it did not disappoint. My girlfriend ordered avocado bacon burger with sweet potato fries I got the western burger with a turkey patty and small size fries and oh my everything was delicious, best burger both of us have had, fries are fresh the sweet potato fries were huge pieces of sweet potato cooked to perfect. My Raspberry Lemon drop was also so good. We will definitely be returning so glad to have found this place

Everyone in the reviews for this place is saying it, and it is absolutely true. The food is very good. It's easy to overlook those words: "very good", But do not gloss over them. Everything that my friends and I ordered was VERY GOOD. We all ordered a different type of fry on the side and they were all VERY GOOD. This is the kind of place where every thing on the menu is VERY GOOD. It is definitely not the healthiest place you could eat at because their focus is on the food being VERY GOOD. Nevertheless, even the healthy options like the mushroom ciabatta sandwich and the zucchini fries were VERY GOOD. Toasted to a perfect crisp, buttery, freaking delicious. The restaurant itself has a local charm. The ambiance is dictated by what the locals need, not the city people coming in to rent a lake house for the weekend (myself, my boyfriend, and his tech friends). It's refreshing to be somewhere that feels more like a genuine small town tavern than a flashy restaurant that covers itself in flowers and sculptures to be a photoshoot op for you and your girlfriends. (I have done this, no shame, so fun, see son and garden review). I wish I could go here over and over and try every menu. seriously, SO GOOD.

Coconut shrimp I had as an entree and was a perfect size.

When we walked in you could tell it was a local favorite as the place was packed. Which was surprising for a Tuesday night. The food coming out looked great. We were seated pretty quickly. However we were seated by a group that were celebrating a birthday and were a few drinks in's. Props to the waitress who did her best to give them feedback but one lady was very loud.

I stopped in here with some friends. The wait wasn't too bad, and we were seated right away and placed our orders. I will say the portions are very generous, and I wasn't even sad that they didn't have a gluten-free bun for their burgers. I didn't even need it. I got the regular fries, which I could not finish, but they were really good. The only issue was that it was a bit hard to get service when we wanted drink refills. It took about 10 minutes. I guess they were short on employees, but it wasn't a big deal. I'd come back again sometime.

The Club Car is a nice spot to grab a bite or a drink in upper old town in Auburn CA. If I lived in Auburn, I could see myself making this my go to hangout spot. Asian sweet wings and Asian chicken salad were both very good. I would definitely get those wings again for sure. Loved the sweet heat on them. Service was good. I would recommend the 4 seat table to the left of the stage, I would put a small table for 2 people there. It's very dark and it's hard to see the stage next to the table and it is a tripping hazard.

came here between crew stops during the 100M as we needed to refuel ourselves. Great place, great food and a lot of variety to choose from, awesome drinks on top and fun vibe. They have live music as well. Unfortunately we were only able to hear 2-3 songs as we had to keep on schedule. Ordered the miso salmon which was delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked - tender and flakey, the miso dressing/sauce was flavorful, not overpowering and the sauteed veggies hit the spot to round out the entree. Ordered the Humboldt cherry cider and it was one of the best ciders. If I didn't have the 10pm shift that evening, I would have ordered another. Service is very friendly and attentive.

Great atmosphere to watch a sports game, w/ TVs 360 degrees around the venue. Was greeted and seated immediately and the food came very quick after ordering. The staff were also incredibly friendly and on it. Like when I ordered a burger, our waitress noticed the ketchup container was near empty. So she immediately replaced it w/ a full container before the food arrived. It's the little things that make the big things matter :) I really enjoyed the NorCal Burger. A Cheesburger w/ good portions of avocado and bacon added. My friends also enjoyed their classic burger and the spicy BBQ burger. But I was able to steal some of my friend's onion rings and that was the real MVP.

Tonight I placed an order at McGuire's for two BLT and avocados with mayo. It was a to go order…read more When I got the order to the individual's house, what we found was unacceptable. First thing you noticed is the bread was not toasted at all. It had a couple of brown stripes on one side only. When you open the sandwich, the lettuce was wilted, and the tomato was absolute mush, like it had been old and laying around for hours. The worst thing, though, were the avocados. 2/3 of the avocados were dark, gray or black. Obviously not a good avocado, but yet they managed to cut it up and serve it. And the last thing that was disappointing, was the fact that the bacon was in one wad in the center of the sandwich and not laid out on the sandwich. Just a wad that had to be disassembled and spread out. It looks and feels and sounds to me that that kitchen needs some discipline. Don't use old food! If the client asked for mayo, put it on the damn sandwich like they requested. Everything points to that cook being in one heck of a hurry as it was obvious everything was done down and dirty with little to no concern or care for presentation or freshness. I called this evening to let the manager know and I will call the general manager tomorrow. I believe they said his name was Joe? This is my second time at Maguire's as a local and I'm absolutely not impressed. There's a sign up when you walk in that says please wait to be seated. There are a couple of benches there so I sat down and waited yet I could not get the attention of anybody. It wasn't that busy. A few people walked in and managed to get seated. I talked to a couple of the waitresses asking if I could check on my to go order and was met with I'll get back to you. Eventually, I cornered one of the gals and there was my to go order sitting in a bag next to their Station. Something needs to be done about promptness also and managing and monitoring that entry station. I sure hope they can pick up their service and pick up their quality of food. Mike Vogt

Lisa Ford, the co-owner, went above and beyond in every possible way. She designed a menu within our budget, created a customized bar menu, and she and her amazing team decorated, cooked, served, and made the patio feel warm, beautiful, and welcoming. They truly handled everything with such care and excellence. We were able to play our own customized Spotify playlist on the back patio for a fun Yacht Rock Friday night feeling, and their IT/AV support, Randy, helped us play a personalized video of the couple on the patio TV throughout the evening. It made the night feel even more personal and special. The food was truly the chef's kiss, the beer by Brian Ford, co-owner and brewmaster, was incredible, and the service was outstanding.
