    I can't say enough great things about working with Atrina from Plan This Event. We chose her team from day one planning and she was beyond amazing! She was always on top of everything and made it possible for me to actually relax and enjoy the day, instead of stressing about the details and logistics. She happily dealt with all my questions and concerns with a positive attitude and a huge smile. The entire day ran smoothly and I can't even imagine having to do it without her! She was such a joy to work with and made the planning process not just easy, but fun too! If you're on the fence about hiring a coordinator, I'd highly recommend going for it.     When planning a 500-person wedding requiring 6 different locations, there is no one else we would have trusted like Atrina and Dee with Plan This Event. Wedding planning is very stressful and ours unfortunately included our venue canceling on us 2 months before! Wether it was setting up my meetings with vendors, coordinating timelines, or just putting us at ease to enjoy the day, Atrina, Dee and their team were there for a year-long planning process culminating in the most amazing day we could have imagined. I can't thank you enough! We just celebrated our one year anniversary and are still reminiscing on that perfect day!

    Sikh ceremony decor

    Hiring Atrina and Dee as my wedding coordinators was the best decision ever! I chose both them because they did such a fantastic job for my brother and sister-in-law's Sikh wedding in Fontana. Months prior to the wedding I was wrapping up with my previous job, while searching for a new job and getting ready to move to another city with my husband. During that time, I barely had time to plan the wedding. Atrina and Dee helped me pick the vendors and plan out the venue decorations. After vendors were chosen and decorations were planned out, Atrina and Dee took over from there. Meaning I did zero work after that, other than paying the vendors and taking few phone calls. Selecting Vendors: They presented me with multiple options with varying price ranges prior to the wedding and scheduled my appointments with the vendors I chose. Prior to the appointment, the vendors were given a list of items I would need and they emailed a customized quote with my total bill. This allowed me to work within my budget and not waste time scheduling appointments with vendors that were out of my budget. They also helped negotiate prices, so they were more reasonable. Day Before Wedding: Atrina and Dee came to central California to help set up the venue at the Manor Estate the day before. I only bought the drinks and dropped them off. They coordinated with the owner of Manor Estate, Action rentals, Expo rentals, Kiku Floral, the Linen Shop, One Sweet table, Menohar Catering, Two little doves, Balerina Films and Wicked Entertainment to help set up and arrange things. All the vendors loved working with them and had high praises! Wedding Day; If you are familiar with Indian or Desi weddings, you'll understand they can be very difficult to manage time wise. I am so proud to say my wedding ran on time and was so organized, despite some hiccups. They managed to keep things on time, tempers down and everyone happy. Cost They charge a flat fee and do not profit or get a cut from vendors and try to bring costs down. They give you full disclosure of what they are capable of doing in the beginning. I have had a lot of Indian weddings in the family with coordinators (local (Kerman/Fresno) who up charged the bill last minute. For example, a widely used female coordinator/decorator from Kerman who was supposed to be responsible for décor setup refused to set up the flowers on the day of wedding and brides family had to scramble to set it up. She changed décor colors because she did not like them or did not have them available. Same coordinator was working with another bride and told her half the price and gave her dad double the bill, which bride did know of till afterwards. Atrina was so amazing she actually brought a white carpet and pillows from Los Angeles to make things more aesthetic. Overall: It was a gorgeous event and I am very grateful, I had the pleasure of having them during this busy and stressful time. Stressful due to having an event every single day for 1 week. My mother who was unsure of having a coordinator in the beginning, can't talk enough about them. She's like this was the best decision ever and they are so professional and lovely to work with! I have had 3 other family members who booked them after mine and my brother's wedding. You can't go wrong by choosing them, unless you prefer things to be disorganized, not pretty and unprofessional!

    Planning a 400+ person, 3 day Indian American wedding with tons if moving parts is not an easy feat for even the very best wedding planners and event companies. Believe me, I have looked. Somehow Plan This Event came into the picture later on in this wedding planning game and they were able to make every aspect of our day absolutely magical while sticking to the budget. As someone who plans events for a living, my standards were extremely high. I can say with full confidence that this boutique event company exceeded my expectations. I hired Atrina and Dee with Plan This Event. I had already hired a month of wedding planner, fired a competing event company for lack of responsiveness and was only a few months out from our wedding week. Both Atrina and Dee came through unfazed by the size of our wedding and it's moving parts. They took the role with confidence and enthusiasm as our wedding designers. I had the best experience with Eliza and team with our weekly meetings for a few months to align on all the details. She understand and appreciated our mixed cultural background and how we wanted to incorporate elements of this for a Persian and Vietnamese wedding. I have always heard wedding planning to be stressful but safe to say my experience was the best and the day of the wedding went beautifully. Nothing ever goes to plan and I'm really happy Eliza and her team are experienced enough to adjust to last minutes changes such as guest no shows, etc. She captured our vision perfectly and I'm already thinking of future events I would plan with Bel Events again!

    Horrible experience, stay away!…read more This is a review for Eliza at BEL Events for her wedding planning services. We met Eliza at our venue 8 month before our wedding date. During the first session she presented herself well, and she talked and bragged a lot about her 18 yrs of experience in event planning and stories about how she handles wedding situations. So, we thought she is the right event planner for us and signed a contract. After signing the contract and making the payment, she was very hard to find and we did not see the expected action from her side, and every time we followed up, her response was: "don't worry I will manage everything before the wedding day". We were asking for the basics of planning such as timeline, vendor recommendations (a few to choose from) and communications (which was part of the contract) but not no action except a quote of her own rental service. We were getting closer to the wedding date and her lack of action made us so worried and very frustrated. Eventually we had to get involved and did almost 90% of the work ourselves. She was very hard to find but even when we could talk to her, she would create more unnecessary problems to an extant that my wife had panic attacks after a few meetings we had with her. 2 month before our wedding she caused so much anxiety and frustration that we decided to end our contract with her and find another planner. Thankfully, our new planner was amazing and our Wedding planning went very smooth after that, and the event was as wonderful as we could imagine! With way lower cost than what Eliza had proposed! After I requested to cancel the contract she disappeared and never responded to our emails, which is very unprofessional. Here is a list of a few issues from our experience of working with here: 1- Accessibility: every time we had a question or needed to talk to her, it was taking several days until she gets back to us. With irrelevant excuses, like she would show me her busy google calendar! 2- Push to use her own services as vendors: Per her contract she had to suggest different vendors so we can choose. But since she has rental and flower services, she was arguing so much to stop us from even looking at other options! She charges unnecessarily expensive! By doing a little research, we found our vendors and saved at least 50% with same or better quality! 3- Nonsense arguments and rude attitude: In many occasions she was just insisting on holding the event the way SHE wants, without paying attention to our request or desire. Every time we requested something, her answer was: "I don't want MY event to be that way or I don't want MY guests to be that way"!!! With a condescending attitude emphasizing that "I have 18 yrs of experience and I know what to do"!!! Any simple request would become a long story and unnecessary argument. In one occasion my wife requested that guests throw flower petals while walking out of aisle, and she immediately said: "No!, you can't do that, I don't want my cleaning crew spend time on cleaning the petals"!!!! In another occasion Eliza was insisting on only using her recommended valet service (which was quoting more than double the price of the service we eventually used) and on top of it she was forcing us to rent extra parking lot out of venue and pay extra for shuttle service!!!! While the venue had enough capacity! And when I respectfully said: I am confident that the venue has enough capacity for parking, she got very angry and said: "in that case tell all your guests to use UBER and they can't drive their own car"!!! It was a nightmare working with BEL Events and I don't recommend her service due to lack of professionalism and decency in her business.

Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Not to mention, I literally and honestly don't know how I could have enjoyed my wedding without Heather. Her and her assistant, Courtney, handled E V E R Y T H I N G on the day of our wedding at the Estate on Second and then some. If there was any sort of problem, she had the solution. If we needed a drink, she was there with mine and my husband's signature cocktails. If I was losing track of time, she made sure to gently push me along.
