I was happy with this PF as it was my first time visiting. That happiness soon waned as 25 minutes before close, the staff started shutting the building down. As a retail worker, I understand wanting to go home quick, but no one pays their membership to workout in the dark, no matter what time it is. Then they started blaring the alarm as if to rush us out. The first time was understandable, 15 minutes before close. The second went on for about 2 ear piercing minutes. It was overkill, and the employees looked like they enjoyed doing it. I'm going to come on a different night and see if they operate any different., otherwise I'll be heading this up to corporate. No one in 2026 pays for a gym membership to make the last 20 minutes of their workout annoying and subpar. read more

There are 25 TVs in front of the bikes, so my workout today was not boring. Kudos to management about posting signs warning customers to refrain from putting their belongings in the lockers. There must be rampant theft here. Although staff is friendly and the interior is relatively clean, I will not return here. I am so happy with this gym. My husband and I get to the gym around 3:45pm. There are always machines to use and people are pretty respectful of one another. This place is inexpensive, clean and the equipment is in great shape! The only reason I knocked a star is because I feel like the locker rooms could use a little more care. The dressing rooms are tiny and disheveled, but everything else is great. They have cleaning stations everywhere and I always see a staff member walking around to refill them. Even the music played over the speakers is catchy and gets you in the mood to work out. So don't worry if you forget your headphones lol Overall this place is def worth the $. Drop the extra $$ on the Black Card if you can, the hydro massage is AMAZING! read more

I sent in a letter to cancel my membership in June of 2021 (because Planet fitness makes it impossible to cancel otherwise). I just found out that my membership was never cancelled and I've been getting charged this entire time. I called the office and spoke the manager Alejandro. He didn't care an ounce to help me. I cried to him on the phone, BEGGING him to give me some sort of credit, and nothing. I was completely blown off. I feel deliberately SCAMMED by planet fitness as they make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel a membership and DONT EVEN CANCEL when the customer follows their absurd producedures. In addition, there is no way to contact their HQ. Absolutely ridiculous. Planet Fitness has stolen TONS of money from me and I will be VERY VOCAL about advising anyone I know to never use this gym if this is not sorted out. This is hands down the biggest scam and worst customer service that I have ever seen in a company and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. read more

I joined planet fitness because this was convenient and open late. However, this gym compared to other PFs in extremely lacking. There's no designated stretching section, yet there's plenty of room. They don't have basic equipment such as kettlebells, medicine balls, or foam rollers! These are not exuberant or extreme items to ask for, they're actually standard. This gym is not well lit in the back sections and it is just a bit dank. Needs some major updates. Additionally, the staff here almost always has an attitude, like they hate their jobs. They are in no way friendly and don't greet you unless you greet them. Several times I've had to interrupt their conversations just to be able to check in. read more

This PF is the absolute worst. I've been across the country and never had an issue with any other location except this one. I'd say 30 percent of the machines are in need of repair, don't work at all or are so beaten up they are actually a safety hazard. The best is everyone that goes there seems think they are personal trainers. I saw one guy (not an employee) training three women and not even trying to hide it. My favorite though are people recording themselves training and I am sure posting social media . It's not that I mind, but I am also being recorded without my permission. The machinery is nice but the bathrooms are disgusting. Don't come here if u need a clean bathroom or is you're a gym shower person like me. Every hook in the women's shower was broken. Sad that this planet fitness has state of the art equipment, but their customer service sucks, non friendly and unprofessional. On top of that they are not open 24 hrs. I haded to go two times just to register, and when I finally did I regret it, but thank God I got the black card and I can drive back to my old planet fitness on Belleville that not only their customer service is excellent but also there open 24hrs which is awesome I can go anytime after work or when I feel like it. I have been going here for couple months now. This will be two part review. Staff and Gym itself. Front staff has been great. friendly, ready to help and all around cool. No complaints there. Gym itself is another story. It is big, which is good. My fatass needs all the cardio machines i get get on...however it is often very dirty. I get people should clean after them selves, but they don't therefore staff should check machines. people stuff wet paper towels where the drinks should go. There should be also some flexibility with TV's. NHL Stanley cup playoffs are going on right now, and one would think it should be on tc. Nope, movies, soap operas and discovery. There needs to be more sports on TV, soccer, Basketball etc....when asked front desk people to change channel they should know how to do it if possible. I get membership is cheap, but at the end of the day paying 10-15$ a month more elsewhere makes sense to have whats missing here. read more

I like the fact that the machines are pretty clean most of the time and are in working condition. I do not like the fact that the 30 Minute circuit is not supervised. Everytime I work out there I have to go around the people from the free weight area who use it as their own personal gym. They come in and work out on a particular machine and go back and forth or they sit on a machine for 20 to 30 minutes forcing you to go around them. I have never seen a worker in the area making sure the circuit was being followed. read more

I'll be honest this is the worst planet fitness ever. I honestly think the staff majority are terrible. Not sure why they work in an environment in which you are in constant contact with people. Not sure, if the job is not enjoyable but maybe consider transferring else where. I never felt like the restroom where as clean as they should be. I've been to other planet fitness this one wasn't my cup of tea. I also agree with other reviewers who state the feeling of sexual harassment by the men. Probably one of worst gyms I have been to. They claim to be a "no meat head zone" but let me tell you that there are plenty of meat heads. For one, they leave a mess of weights on the floor and do not clean up after themselves. Also, recently, I saw one of these weights on the floor and I went to go use it. Some meat head comes almost running towards me from the other side of the room and says: "I'm using it."I said, "you're on the other side of the room." He took it from me and said "I'm using it." I pretty much ended my workout there before I would make a bad decision and knock him out. I don't even know if I'm going back there again. I've attended the planet fitness down in south jersey cherry hill and Westmont (haddon township) let me tell you some of the cleanest and most modern facilities. Tonight I went to the one in clifton nj cause I was in the area and first the front desk was not exactly friendly they had me sign in and didn't ask if I had ever been there or knew the facility already or anything. I step foot in the bathroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Toilet paper everywhere and it stinks. Since this is gonna be the closest location to me now, I decided to cancel my membership no way am I going to come to this gym. :( so sad because not all planet fitnesses are like this ! read more

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean this gym is. I see the staff cleaning all the time, and most other clients are respectful and wipe down the machines after use. Locker rooms are kept in good shape too. Also, it is a good size with plenty of machines/equipment, so even at busy times there never seems to be a problem with overcrowding. There is plenty of parking, too. For the inexpensive cost of monthly membership, I think this is a great gym. read more

I use to like this location a few years back, but now its a zoo and the guys act like such! Overly flirting, coming up to , asking for your number , making hissying sounds . This gym is an ok gym for the price. There is no great maintenance and half of the customers are ratchet along with the staff. The staff is usually rude and never greet you nor provide good customer service. The male staff is always starring which makes it uncomfortable and I have talked to other women at the gym who have agreed. The staff is usually yelling, running around, and acting very unprofessional. Overall horrible customer service and sales skills. While closing the male staff who close are very rude and tell people to start leaving. I was in the locker room five minutes before closing and a young male comes and turns off the lights while I'm in there. As I'm walking out the staff is always starring and has no courtesy and no professional training.dont waste your time here. People only come for cheap memberships. read more

Went this gym because mine didn't open until 8am on the weekends and this one is 24 hours I have a black card membership here which allows me to go tanning and used a massage tables for free all for $20 a month which is amazing. I was having a terrible time though switching my membership to this location, apparently they are not all connected and I have to figure out how to update my account without going back to Philly where I originally signed up. I am not from Pennsylvania and would be a pain to have to go there to handle this. The from dear girl here was super sweet and helpful and told me to go online to do so. Great staff, 24 hour gym. I'm very unhappy with their costumer services. I had a bad experience at Belleville planet fitness when I was trying to do my morning routine my entrance to the gym was denied. The girl behind the counter told me that I have a past due amount at Clifton. So I have to call Clifton to find out what's going on meanwhile I was wasting my time. First, I was never informed that by joining this location I would be restricted to only the Clifton and woodland park locations for unlimited access. Any other location you're only allowed free 10 visits follow by a $5 charge after every visit. Because they aren't the same franchise. Then I'm informed I'm not allowed to change franchises until I reach a 90 day period. So I reach my 10 free visits at the Fairfield location and decide let me try the Clifton one (only other time I've visited this location was when I signed up) I walk in, it's super humid & and a little smelly, fine I got past that based on the fact that there's a lot of people working out here. I lock my things in the locker, go onto cardio and then to weights. I'm doing lateral pull downs on the machine closest to the back wall & the seat drops from under me, TWO TIMES, I switch machines and finish the set. Then I go onto the assisted pull up machine, this machine was so wobbly that I felt it was going to tip over. I got off the machine. Half the machines are abused and run down. I go into the locker room to get my stuff and leave. BOOM someone broke my lock and robbed me for the money in my wallet. This was at about 11pm last night. No manager there. No big deal, I was told he's in 9am-5pm.. I come in, I would say about 11:50am & no manager again. A young girl said she was the assisting manager. She wasn't any help. I don't recommend coming here or joining this gym or franchise at all. read more

Great workout atmosphere. Always plenty of cardio machines and pretty clean. I have been working out here in Clifton since March 2018 and the Glute machine has been out of order since day one. I have asked about it and some guy said they are waiting for a part. Where is that part? It is July now?? I always loved the Tootsie role bucket for that quick simple carbohydrate your body needs after a hard work out. WELL NOW IT'S GONE!! Supposedly someone complained about candy being in a place you are going to work out at. WHAT??? Some moron that knows nothing about working out complains and now we can't have it. I look forward to that simple carb on the ten minute ride home until I have my protein shake. Something is not right here. PLEASE FIX THE GLUTE MACHINE! Since I wrote this they have put the tootsie rolls back. Glute machine still broken except now there is no sign!8-18- Now they have taken the Glute machine completely out! Oh- we'll. I went to sign up for the 2 black memberships. Upon entering, I was greeted by a sour faced front desk person as if she was annoyed by my existence or that she had to work in general. I still smiled and was pleasant as I thought that anyone can have a bad day. I asked what was needed to sign up. I was told that I should get a "Direct Deposit form from my bank". I asked if they meant "Direct Debit" as I will be paying to them and not the other way around. Her response was "No, deposit!" and then she went on to incorrectly explaining what is a direct Deposit. Then she had an additional employee try to tell me the same thing. Arrogant, Untrained, and Uneducated. Red Flag! I decided not to sign up at that location as they are not trustworthy. I cannot trust these people with my financial information. If they do not understand the basic terminology, and they are too arrogant to listen to the customer. The arrogance of the employees leads me to believe they are not properly trained and there is a lack of leadership. I do not want people like that dealing with my financial information. If ID theft is not happening, it is just a stone's throw away. I decided to go to another planet fitness in East Orange. At least they were trained and courteous. read more

I go to planet fitness down by me and maybe because of that I am biased but, in no way did I enjoy coming to this planet fitness at all. The gym itself was huge but, it was mainly filled with treadmills and cardio machines, they had a section in the back for those who want to lift weight which was a small basically 20 foot by 20 foot section cramped full of people. When I say cramped there was literally like 10 people there made you feel unmoveable. The weights were disappointing as they only had free weights up to 60 lbs which really shocked me I have never been to one that had less then 75 lbs so needless to say I could not do some of workouts with the proper weight. The locker room was nice however very clean a lot of lockers and even the showers were cool with soap dispensers in them. However I don't think I will be returning unless it is a serious necessity I will find another one in the area next time. read more

That is a bad gym and the costumer service is terrible , i didint went for about 6 months and when i comeback they told me that they couldn't take out money from my account I brought the stament and show them that they took the money and they just said sorry so if i didn't have the prove they will charge me like $200 , they do the same thing with my sister and she went with me and they don't even let her sitdown in the chair that they have because that was for member only but she is a member but at that time she doesn't have the stament bank to show them that they are taking the money from the account . Don't be a slave to rumors. People say its always overcrowded and you have to wait on lines for machines. I went for an hour and a half and I only waited 2 mins for 1 machine. The staff is really smart and courteous. The weight room is kind of small but people give you your space. It's not like their breathing down your neck or anything like that. Machines are always cleaned and are constantly being wiped so that's a plus. This is the first gym I've joined and I can honestly say without a doubt that its by far the best decision.
