Very dirty and the same dust has been on the machines for months. No acknowledgement from stsff upon entering ever. Never have seen them cleaning. Staff spend more time talking on their phones than attending to their job. Too bad because this is a good location. Wish the owner had the same protocols as the South High location. I knew about this gym for a while since my old trainer at the Worthington location was telling me about it. So I was rather excited for a new opening near my home. The only pitfall about what I saw today was it's a little bit smaller than most of the other locations I've visited like the Hilliard or Worthington locations. Therefore, if you have all of Dublin coming in at the peak hour of 5 PM to workout, you can only imagine how busy/crowded that gym must get. I heard it really does get overwhelming how busy some of those hours are by the trainer there. He suggested maybe they build a second location because all of Dublin is coming here and that's like thousands of people a day dropping in just to workout at specific hours. What I liked most was that it did feel more comfortable than most other gyms. I didn't have the mirrors in my face as I was on the elliptical, arc trainer or treadmill. Each room in that gym is also spread out giving a little leeway to the members. So when you first come into the gym you see the equipment I just mentioned on the side is the changing rooms, legs and 30 minute circuit room. In the next room they just built a month ago, are the heavy weights such as the dumbbells,lifting machines, then the two rooms on the side which are the ab rooms. My trainer Nate was the bomb today! He was as cool as my other PF trainer mentioned. Maybe because those two buddies are friends or because my other trainer at Worthington trained him before he came to this location and made sure he was ready. The guy moved here from Cleveland and definitely has the skills to train anyone. He really pushed me today and I loved it because I want to be pushed when I go to a gym. That's what hard work is all about! Boy was I tired by the end of his workout! Although in a good way and I can't wait to come back and experience more of what he knows and can offer as a trainer. Plus I love a change of scenery from one gym to another. That's the benefit of my black card is that I can do that without worrying about paying the gym more money. It's all included in my membership rate. I'm definitely going to be back at this location soon. You never know I may make it my home gym as well since it's right down the road from my house, so it only makes sense to do that. read more

Clean location and staff is generally nice. I have never had any issues here. It is your standard PF with plenty of machines to use. I've only had to wait a few minutes for one before. Parking can be scarce since it's in a plaza but, that's fine. I participated in the Design Your Own program and it was super cool. The trainer was knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I work out here 6 days a week! Love this gym. Everything is usually clean and never too packed. Easily can get an hour workout in without waiting for anything. Bigger than most PF in Columbus and the manager Dillon is the goat. Worth every penny! read more

Asked employees at desk to fix TVs on 3 different visits (pictures on a dozen of the TVs were stretched and distorted, wrong aspect ratio) and each time I was treated like I was crazy or unreasonable. I got comments like "What's the big deal?", or "At least you have a picture", or ""We can't control the TVs." A simple "We'll look into it , sir" would have been appropriate. Two emails to corporate and the local management team were ignored. I cancelled my membership. read more

This is the worst Planet Fitness I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few PF locations. The main issue is cleanliness. I have never once seen an employee clean a machine, even when there are 5-6 employees standing behind the desk, all on their phones. At other locations, I'll see employees cleaning machines all the time. It's disgusting how dirty some of the cardio machines are. In addition, there have been some cardio machines that have been "temporarily out of order" since I was started coming to this location in June 2019. read more

It's very sad because a group of two to six of us would work out here. And I trained with them, I would help them admittedly. I saw other people training as well. We were the only Spanish speaking group. And we were constantly told we couldn't do things. We couldn't move the bench, we couldn't move the weights, we couldn't do Burpee's even though they were boxes to do box jumps.... every visit there was something that it amounted to harassment. No other trainer or group was treated like we were. We all were paying customers. I was told by the assistant manager that I wasn't wanted there when I challenge the way they were treating us, and I was told no they didn't want me there. And when I asked if it was racial, her anger increased and she said it wasn't, and then said to "get out". So I did. most of the employees were wonderful, this assistant manager Handled the situation terribly. And we are all leaving now :/ read more

It's probably the cleanest gym I've ever been to, and there's plenty of equipment for pretty much everyone who could potentially want to work out at any given time. The employees were super friendly and approachable, and as Planet Fitness advertises, I never felt judged or out of place. I always have loved this planet fitness because of the location and staff. Everyone is really nice. They ways greet you when you walk in and say bye when you leave. I love how clean that they keep the locker rooms and bathrooms too. Especially after feeling sweaty from my workout, it's nice to walk into a nice clean bathroom. I go to this PF during third shift (usually around 11pm) because of my gym anxiety. The front desk staff are so amazingly friendly to me, they make me feel like a friend. They go above and beyond to make me feel relaxed and welcome. I've seen them deal with crazy people during the late hours (literally drunk people walking in and yelling) and for as young as the staff are, they handle it amazingly. They always clean equipment, tanning beds, etc. and i often see them cleaning the locker rooms too when I walk in. None of the equipment is ever broken here from what I've seen. I'm just really glad I joined this gym because I swore I'd never step foot in one again after belonging to Urban Active back in the day!! read more

The club is very dirty! So many employees stand around on their phones. Always the same people too. I have run into them repeatedly in places like the supply closet and at the desk where sometimes 4-5 people are just on their phones. I do see a couple people who show some work ethic and applaud them. I don't and won't recommend this particular PF to anyone. Usually friendly I give them that but the issue of being so dirty really makes me want to look for a different place. I've brought it to 3 employees attention and nothing changes. read more

I went to the store summer of 2019 to cancel my membership. The employee got me the cancellation form and had me sign the paper, took my membership card and etc. I happened to see my statement beginning of this year and found out they kept charging me for 8 months after I canceled the membership. I figured this out when they were shut down due to COVID so I waited until they open back up so I went to the store today to get a refund and the employee there said my membership status still shows active and that is why they have been charging me and unless I show the evidence which he was implying to the copy of cancellation receipt, he cannot give me a money back. I asked if he can check a camera record to investigate this but he said no. I asked if there is a manager or someone who I could talk to, he said no. I went into cancel summer last year, the employee NEVER handed me any sort of receipt and just reassured me I AM ALL SET I AM CANCELLED. So I believed he will going to handle it without any problem. Watch out, keep an eye on your bank/credit card statement, and make sure your cancellation has gone thru because the employee may forget to hand a customer a copy of a receipt or forget to put customer's cancellation in the system, and the next thing that is going to happen is- you will get robbed without even knowing. read more

I wish I could give this gym a zero. The planet fitness in Dublin was closed in March and I was on a month to month pass. After they closed I assumed my membership was no longer active considering the gym was closed down. I just realized this location picked up my existing account without contacting me and has been charging my card the last 4 months for a membership I wasn't aware I still had. This PF is well kept and have nice, welcoming staff. The machines are high quality with MANY to choose from. I've never had to wait for an elliptical or treadmill. There is a lot of space to go and do your own workout as well. There are circuits you can do that are timed (red light/green light) so if you need a structure to your workout, this would be a good option! Overall, I enjoy this gym:) read more

I signed up for a guest pass, and they let me know that the money I spent on said guest pass would transfer over so I wouldn't have to pay for two months starting in March. Got charged for this month, and when I called in the lady who answered the phone let me know that they were correct to charge for March (April and May are the months whereupon I won't pay anything). Not that big of a deal money-wise; I just think the staff needs to be on the same page about their policies. Especially if this were to happen to, say, a college student living off ramen noodles and cheetohs - that could overdraft their account. There was a new girl who was signing me back up for my membership as well, and she kept giving me wrong information (i.e. I could not use my phone to show my bank account information, I needed a check, et al), and started arguing with me when I tried to let her know that the person who helped me before let me know that you could use your phone to show the information. Luckily a staff member was nearby and let said new employee know that using your phone to show the bank information was sufficient. Like the facility, just think the staff needs more training. read more

I personally found it to be a great gym for basic fitness and weightlifting, staff seemed friendly and quite a cheap place to workout too! This gym is 100% not recommended if you are a crossfit or calisthenics athlete for there is one assisted pull up/dip bar. read more

I should give this location a zero! My son cancelled his account mid July and the contract had already ended. His last visit was May 24th to utilize the membership. I knew he could use it for 30 days after cancelling but he did not. I looked today and the charge was pending to come out of my account. I spoke with Shawn. Shawn implied my son lied to me about cancelling the membership. He is 19 and extremely responsible. He is a manger at work and just recently purchased a brand new car on his own with good credit! I immediately asked for a manager. Matt got on the phone and was worse than Shawn. I asked for corporates number and he told me they could not give it out so I told him I would google it. I asked for the physical address of the location and he said you can google it. What an ass! I told him I was coming in and hung up. I thought when the account was cancelled they refused paperwork, I was wrong. My son works in one of the stores in the plaza so I went to his location first. He said he did sign a form and they gave it to him but he no longer has it. You see he knows some of these guys from working near them. He trusted them. I got to the store and demanded to speak to Matt. He asked me my sons last name and I told him he should have had the information ready because he knew I was coming in. He stated it was on a computer behind him. I told him he was incompetent and he thanked me. He filled out the form and asked for my signature. I took the form to my son and had him sign it. I signed as well and made notes. Under office staff only where Matt had written the cancellation date I put the date in July. I took the form back to Matt and he signed it. I did not immediately see his signature and asked him where it was. He stated it was in the office only section. I wrote his name next to his signature on my copy and told him it was because I could not read his signature. I was leaving and one of the snarky teeny blooper female employees stated to have a nice day. Not in the true have a nice day way but rude and condescending. I stated "F you" and continued walking out. I heard the nasty comments they started to make and said "F you" again. I left the store and went back to my son. He said the yellow carbon I had was what he was given to him in July. I came home and disputed the charge with my bank. I cannot get through to corporate right now but will be to learn of the owners information because it is an independent location. Lesson learned. My son only chose this facility because he could walk to it from our home and was saving for a car at the time. I would give this location negative starts if I could! I joined planet fitness in March of 2014 went a couple times and then called to cancel my account that July. I never noticed that they were still charging me, simply because I didn't look for it because I was told it was canceled. About a year later I was charged my annual fee and looked through my account and noticed they were still charging me. I called June of this year to cancel and was told it was taken care of. It is now September and someone finally tells me that I need to come in and sign something to cancel my account. I have been charged $365 for a service I haven't been using. I called and spoke with Kaitlin who said I would receive a call from the manager on Monday. 2pm Monday comes and still no call. I went to the location to speak to the manager about this, yet no one had told him what was going on. I understand sometimes we lose track at work when we are busy but when we are talking about $365 out of my pocket I expect this to be taken seriously, or at least for the customer service rep to have some notes to at least remember my name. After speaking with the manager and completely canceling my account I was told I would need to wait a couple days till he talks to the owner about a refund. I was expecting he would call right then since I had already been put off till I decided to show up. I think that this customer service experience has been some of the worst I've received. I am currently waiting to hear from someone and will update my review when that is done. *Update* it's been 7 days since I wrote this review. On Wednesday I ended up having to call back and still no manager but the lady my husband spoke to said that the manager said he would only refund us for the amount of 6 months since that's how long this location has been open. I was told manager would call me by Friday, it's Monday and still no phone call. I am very upset by this customer service I am receiving. I've never been treated so unfairly. I work in customer service and even if I can't make it completely right, I still keep my word and cell the person back!! I have left a complaint with the BBB hopefully that will get somebody to listen. read more

We did our first workout here today 7:30a to 8:40a - atmosphere was relaxed, yet focused. People just doing their workout with no dramatic behaviors nor exhibitionists. Additionally, it was nice to see everyone cleaning their machines after use. Treadmills were able to quickly switch speeds for running intervals (just punch in the number - no holding down arrow or plus keys required) and the machine didn't hesitate with my 275lb frame. The giant ceiling fans do an excellent job moving air comfortably and after a workout there is a nice space to stretch (not an after thought like at most gyms). Overall, what I most liked (alonged with the atmosphere) was the diversity of the population (age, gender, ethnicity and race) at this gym a nice mix of people which should be welcoming for really most anyone. read more

Absolute worst customer service. No one seems to know what they're talking about. Every single time I've called in or went in to talk about canceling my membership I was told something different. First I was told my membership would automatically cancel once my one year was up and then once finding out that was untrue I was told I needed to come in by the 14th to cancel my membership but upon doing so they said payment went out on the 10th and there's nothing they can do. So I've now been charged two extra months even though I've been told the wrong info twice now. read more

I signed up for Planet Fitness yesterday, after getting a mailer. I had wanted to sign-up for a while, but had kept putting it off. I opted to sign-up at this new location over the Dublin location, because they had a better promotion going for opening. I live between the two locations, and am very happy I signed up at Bethel! This location is brand new, sparkling clean and offers plenty of equipment even for the busy times. I knew going into it exactly what I wanted (black card), so I did not experience a full sales pitch. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. Bathrooms are very nice, featuring a bouquet of fresh flowers. Locker rooms and showers are provided as well. I do have to say my favorite feature has to be the aqua massage beds, plus their tanning equipment is fantastic - especially for the very low price of $19.99/mo. Oh and the best part - they have infrared stand-up beds that work out your body as it tightens and tones your skin! If you're thinking about checking out Planet Fitness, just do it! read more

I really loved this gym when I was going there. I had to end my membership because the Dublin location closed. When I went to close my account I went into the Bethel store. I talked to a staff member that took my key ring membership card. I asked her "Do I need to sign anything?" She stated "You're good to go." I was so happy that it was a breeze. That was this past summer. Now it is the end of December and I noticed planet fitness continued to bill me. I called the store and talked to a staff member (different from the first), manager and asked to speak with the general manager. The staff member said I needed documentation as proof I closed my account. I understand they probably have people who scan them but I am not one of them. I didn't get to speak to the general manager because they just relayed the same message through the manager. When I advocated for myself they blamed me stating "there is no documentation on the account." They seemed to think they were doing a great thing when they offered to close my account now. What happened to customer service? It's not my issue their staff member did not do their job to close the account over the summer as promised. Of course they are sticking me with the bill. Urban Active Fitness (LA fitness) did not give me any trouble ending my account when I moved to Dublin. Just be aware when you join you will get corporate customer service. The gym is new and clean. However, there is not enough space to accommodate everyone. There is no place to lay out a mat and stretch or even do squats in the free weight section without hitting some. It is full of "lunks" and most of the time it's hard to get the employees attention to check in. Overall: you get what you pay for. The air circulation is poor and the weight room seems more cramped compared to other Planet Fitness locations.

The tanning beds are nasty and not cleaned properly. First I was told to go to bed #3. I walked in the room and there were a bunch of drops of water or cleaner all over the bed and the chair in the room. I walked back to the front desk and then was told to go to bed #4. I walked in there and that bed was even worse. It was smeary and slimy like someone half @$$ed cleaning the bed. I then just walked back to the desk and I asked if I could just get the sanitizer my self and wipe it down because the bed they moved me to was nasty. The girl working the desk doesn't even respond to me she just grabs the cleaning bottle and heads to another bed with a clear attitude. I'm left standing at the desk, and ask the other employee "umm so what are you going to do about it." The guy at the counter then said "I think she is cleaning a different bed for you." I responded with "that's nice but I asked to clean it myself because they are all grouse and I'm not confident it will be done right". The girl working the counter then appears from bed #2 and asked me to look over the bed before I go in. This time it was actually clean. I thanked her and she attempted to spat an excuse about the cleaner not always getting everything off the beds. There is NO excuse for the filthy beds! That is a health hazard! I'm pretty sure it is in someone's job description there to clean the tanning beds and obviously that task was NOT conducted. This encounter occurred Sunday April 3rd. Around 5:30 pm. On 2 other separate occasions I received tanning eye protection that appeared to have dried mascara inside them, leaving the impression that the eye protection is just tossed into the disinfect and NOT wiped down. read more

I was a long term member at the Planet Fitness in Dublin, and although it required a lot of updating and cleaning, the people were always great. I love the new location facility, everything looks great. My reason for the 2 stars is that the front desk personnel are so rude. I have been in at various times since they opened, and they have treated everyone poorly. They seem bothered any time someone asks them a question, and are NOT eager to assist. Truly the only down part of the new facility. Very poor customer service. read more
