Tried this location again because of the convenience for me. Highly disappointed in the customer service Again. Gave me a hard time because I've yet to get my Black Cards upgrade and I wanted to get take advantage of the amenities. Rep told me to call my home location. Again isn't this something you SHOULD have access to or at least offer to do?? I asked if he could call his reply "I have to sign he up for a membership" referring to the lady next to me. To clarify, I asked if that something that's not apart of customer service considering its all one franchise and this is all included with what's being paid for? This was the first planet fitness I started going to when I moved to the Columbus area in 2016. I have always been happy with this location as all I use are the treadmill, stair master, ab room and tanning beds. I've never had any issues with these either! Customer service used to be really good, I would say it's just okay now, which is fine with me because I just want to get in and do my business. I have not seen anyone be outwardly rude or act annoyed towards guests. Even though I don't come here as often since I have two other locations closer to me now, I know I'll always get a good workout here and it's pretty clean as far as gyms go. I became a member in Feb of 2018. Since then it has gone downhill thanks largely to a poor general manager who doesn't understand how to actually manage a club. If you look at this location's Facebook page, you will see glowing reviews up until about 18 months ago and that is why. Their answer to every billing question is to frown at you and tell you they are going to print out your original agreement (as if that is some sort of threat or something) and not actually answer the question you are asking. I used to think it was just me but I've seen a few others come in and get the same treatment. It's all fun and games until you mention that you want to cancel... then you are treated like an enemy. It also gets old seeing staff stand around with crap on the locker room floors or dumbbells not racked properly. A poorly managed staff is the result of a poor manager and sadly, that is what you have there now. read more

I use to love this gym.....I've been a member since 2019 however there's no 3rd shift and the workers are not like how they were. I'm very disappointed the mats in the ab room stay on the floor the hooks are broke. The hours during the week are now they are open until 10pm Mon.-Thurs. and close at 9pm on Friday and 7pm on the weekends. I hate this gym now! read more

Definitely the worst planet fitness around. There's never any staff around and if they are they just sit around and don't look up from their phones. Dumbbells and equipment laying around and the locker rooms are very outdated compared to surrounding PFs. Pick a different location, you will regret going to this one in comparison. read more

It's has potential. But, majority of the lockers in men room are damage. The customer(s) constantly nasty. Meaning, they neither leave their garbage wherever, transit leaves their belonging days or weeks in the club locker room, smoking in the locker room. The equipment there, it's not well maintain. If you go there, suggestion keep to yourself or search for a better place. Normally, if you film yourself to improve your body. It's prohibited. But, people still film their self in the locker room, where people are changing. What sense that makes?... no privacy only when it's convenient. read more

Nice pf. Seems fairly new. Locker rooms are clean and spacious. Not sure why he last reviewer complained about having to clean beds. This is normal at pf from my experience. Plus it's just gym etiquette to clean equipment after you use it. read more

All together, this is the 3rd different PF that I've been to. It isn't the smallest, but, isn't the largest either. It's decent for the size of the facility. Just the basics. Plenty of cardio equipment, a decent size weight area in addition to an abs & stretching room as well as their 30min. express area. Which is only supposed to be used for that purpose, but is NEVER enforced by the staff. The staff, btw, are present but really only interested in their phones or each other. A couple of them are friendly & courteous, but most are just there. It's okay for the price if you're just interested in doing a simple workout. read more

when I first began my membership at this location about a year ago, the staff was always on top of the cleaning and maintenance of the gym. I've since noticed that the staff doesn't keep up on cleaning the tanning beds in between customers and there have been times I've used a dirty bed. The bathrooms almost always smell like urine, and for some reason the paper towel rolls are set on top of the trash can instead of being placed in the paper towel dispenser?? The room temperature also seems to be an issue. I give this location about 3 stars, the only thing I like is that it's a 5 minute drive from my home. read more

Computers and equipment are shut down too often. The tanning and massage beds work about half the time. Staff can be rude, and not attempt to help when there are issues. "Open 24 hours a day" is a gimmick. They are only open 24 hours a few days a week and when they are, the night staff does not keep things open and maintained. Other than that, it's not a bad gym for the money, but you get what you pay for. (Not all the staff is bad, just a few. Some are very polite and helpful) read more

As a former employee of a Planet Fitness in Dayton, OH, I am pleasantly surprised by this location. I had many complaints about the location that I worked for...it was managed/owned poorly and it showed. That being said, this location seems very clean and well managed. It's not overly busy or crowded even during peak hours (5-7pm) and so far I haven't had any problems with people hogging equipment. Seems like the majority of people wipe down the equipment after they use it. Also, they have 4 stairmasters (THANK GOD) and I have never seen them all in use at the same time. Only small complaint I have is that I wish the ab/stretching area was bigger. It feels a little crowded if there's more than 3-4 people in there. But overall this PF location is pretty solid. read more

They sold me a Black Card membership and said I'd be able to go to other sites free, but that's not true. You get to go to another site a maximum of 10 times/month, and then they start charging you $5/visit. Daniell is a good trainer, but there were classes cancelled, at least once without notification. I signed up for the class through the PF app, and they insisted that there was no such class that day. read more

For the most part, I like this new Gym. Staff is friendly and so far, I haven't had to wait for machines to use. The only reason I only gave 3 stars in because of the level of cleanliness here. Out of the 3 PF Gyms that I've belonged to, this is the first one where the staff doesn't clean tanning beds or the rooms in between customers. They don't even leave cleaning supplies or trash cans in them. I have had to find my own cleaning supplies and clean the bed myself every time I use one. More than once, the prior persons trash was still in the room when I went in. I complained to the front desk once but it's still the same every time. I just go in knowing that I will have to clean it before I use it. I'm pretty sure health dept tanning regulations say that all tanning rooms and equipment must be kept clean at all times. Maybe I'm wrong. Either way, it's gross and I can't help but feel slightly ripped off. I am, after all, paying to use those facilities, not getting paid to clean up someone else's mess. read more

Management from the Assistant to the General Manager very unprofessional. I went in to cancel membership and was advised I had $71.00 in fee's which I was not aware of at all. They couldn't tell me why except (something was wrong with payment information) contacted my bank who advised no errors on their end, and that Planet Fitness has not withdraw the funds consistently each month. I explained this to the GM, who walked away in the middle of me talking. I called Corporate who could not do anything, and the owner or regional have yet to contact me regarding this on going issue with this unprofessional business and staff. I have submitted email no response. I have since joined Chunch Fitness!!!!!!! I will also be contacting the BBB regarding the charges on my account. All I want is to cancel and zero balance for charges that are not void. read more

I would have rated this gym NO STARS. First off their gym rules are very inconsistent. I was once told by the manager that I was breathing to loudly while working out, although others are allowed to slam weights, not put the weights back when they are finished using them, sitting for extended periods of time on machines while on their phones so others are unable to use them, and Not cleaning the machine that they just used, just to name a few. They also have a big problem with broken equipment. Just two weeks ago I pointed out a broken piece of equipment to one of their employees, and found out today that it was just being tagged for repair, although other pieces of equipment in this gym are broken or not adjusted correctly. As I was working out today on a incline bench, an female employee thought it was a good idea to plug in her vacuum in the outlet that was directly in front of the bench that I was working out on, and proceed to drape the cord over the legs of the same bench. I moved the cord away from the bench so that I wouldn't trip over it. As I picked up two 65lbs dumbbells and laid back on the bench to work out, another male employee thought that it would be a good idea to pull the cord towards himself allowing the cord to strike my leg very hard. At first I didn't know what happened, but my reaction was to drop the weights and find out. As I turned around and saw what was taking place I told him what had happened with the cord and asked him if he thought that was the safe thing to do. He did not answer. I then proceeded to move the cord again out of the way of the bench, this time when I sat down ready to lift, the same male employee pulled the electric cord again, this time striking my foot. I got up and asked the employee why would he do the same thing over again? His response was to smile and shrug his shoulders.This time the manager came over and heard us going back and forth with loud words. As I tried to inform her what had taken place, the same female employee that was vacuuming stated that I had come in to the club with an attitude, although I have not clue why she stated that, as I hadn't even interacted with her or anyone else in a negative way until the cord incidents. After all of that, I was asked to leave the gym, and found out when I called their corporate office about the incident, that my membership has been terminated by the manager. read more
