I've only been to this location once, and a month prior to my annual registration, I figured it would be best just to cancel my membership. The customer service agent assured me that she would cancel my membership over the phone. A month later I was charged the annual registration fee, and was told that I needed to send in a letter in order to cancel my membership. I informed the manager of my the steps I took a month earlier and he assured me that if I contacted the regional director,Mike Rymsha, that he should issue me a refund. Mind you, the whole year I'm paying a monthly fee and only used their services once. Secondly, I spoke to the locations manager and sent Mike Rymsha an email the day I was charged the annual membership. He informed me that I needed proof in order to receive a refund. How does one provide proof of a phone call, especially after being assured everything would be taken care of? When was the last time anyone had to send written notification in order to unsubscribe from anything? I feel that Planet Fitness has set up policy in order to charge it's attendants, in hopes that their facilities aren't being used while making us take extra steps in order to cancel our memberships. I've never been so disgusted in a franchise as big as Planet Fitness, penny-pinching it's customers. Great job, especially during this pandemic! read more

Signed up for a $10 a month plan and they charged me $15 a month, then $25 a month. They say it's because they had trouble with my banking, but when I tried to handle it at the location they said to use the app. I reentered my info in the app, had no notifications that I was overdue, and was overcharged since the beginning. They are shady and will cheat you out of your money. I can't even cancel without it being in writing which I am sure they will claim to never receive. Awful, awful service. Do not recommend. Went to the Planet Fitness in Conyers last week specifically to work on the TRX equipment. When I arrived I noticed that there were a number of people in the TRX area, not using the equipment. I tried to squeeze my way into the area when I realized that they were conducting a boot camp style exercise class with 10+ members including mats and benches throughout the area. I was almost hit by one of the jump ropes that they were using which prompted me to leave the area immediately. Definitely a downer. I wont be back to this dangerous situations. read more

PF prides themselves on not being a regular gym. Understood but there are certain things that are staples to every gym

Poor service, unclean facility, and unprofessional staff. My experience at this location has made me cancel my entire subscription with the company on a whole. And don't forget if you want to cancel you have to go in person or mail them a letter even though you were able to sign up from your phone. Company is out to make money while their employees browse their phones and don't clean or maintain a damn thing. read more

I've never had a bad experience at this location. As a Black Card member, I've visited many of the metro Atlanta locations. I have friends/work out partners who travel past other PF locations to happily join me at the Conyers location. The Conyers location is by far the cleanest, most consistent, and friendliest location I have ever been to! read more

***warning*** if you go to this location make sure you do not carry keys with a key fob. i went to the gym at 11:30 am by 12:15 pm my keys were stolen. i always put my keys, cell phone and water on the window ledge right by the bike i ride regulary mind you the gym was pretty empty with mainly older adults. i rode the bike directly to the right of the entrance door for 35 mins i went to the cleaning station to get cleaning solution to wipe down my machine grabbed my items and went to a machine right across from the bike i was previously riding. after i wiped the machine down i noticed immmediately i did not have my keys i went back to the machine my keys were not there. i immediately went to the front desk to ask if anyone turned in and keys. there were 2 very young ladies and the general manager at the front desk he stated "no one turned in keys". i informed him that my keys were missing and if he could check the trash maybe i tossed them by mistake while throwin the paper towels away. he walked to the bike with me and to the machine i had selected next to use. we walked over to the trash can he removed the bag and we went to the front to another trash can to transfer the trash to the other can and still no keys the general manager and myself walked to the bike area again and to the next machine i selected still no keys he then stated "hold on let me check something" he went to the office where he stayed and did not return. i asked the one of the young ladies to ask the manager if he could run the tape back to see if the could see who picked up my keys. she went to the back and returned and stated "the manager said they can not run the cameras back" i was sort of surprised so i asked if he could come speak with me the young lady said "he told me to tell you he was busy" i proceed to tell themi have no choice but to call the police and file a report because my personal belongings were in my truck (purse, wallet, license etc.) i asked the ladies for corporate number i was told they dont have a corporate number. while i was waiting on the police the manager and some other gentleman looked over at me and called the other lady to the back so both of these gentleman were aware of the issue i was having. when they all came out the back the man with the yellow shirt with the large gold chain, very loud, and unprofessional was carrying a box stopped at the desk gave them some shirts left out the door went to get his car parked in the front came in and and still said nothing turned around and left. when the police arrived the manager than became more helpful the police asked if the camera could be rolled back so they could see who picked up my keys the manager proceed to say its a process and he would have to contact the corporate office i said "the same corporate office you said you dont have" the officer asked the manager is that the process or have you ever ran the camera back before or is it he just dont know how to do it the manager replied "well i have then said no he have not ever did it " i asked who is over you he stated "he just left" i said the same man that would not speak with me" he stated he didnt say he wouldnt speak with you. the police took my claim and stated this seems like an inside job and the tape is more than likely erased if they have been in the office for that long and not being cooperative, also this has happened before at this location. so beware! thank goodness i noticed right away my keys were missing and like the police said if i left to go home and leave my truck there my truck probably would not be here when i return the police filed the report and took note of my license plate and description of my truck just in case i have to leave to get my spare! i had to call a locksmith to have my truck rekeyed to a new key costing me alot of unnecessary money and time. i was there a total of 6 hours and no one asked if i was ok these 2 managers showed no interest in locating my keys leads me to think they were the one that stole my keys. per the officer a thief would steal something of small value like my cell phone but a criminal will steal larger items and come up with a plan to carry out their mission and if i had not notice righ away when they work together one goes out to the vehicles take your valubles like money and items from the vehicle and then once the workout is complete they notice after time passed that they notice their keys are gone but by then they are already done and have your keys waiting for you at the front desk and the damage is already done. as i was sitting waiting on the locksmith another member came over and stated the same thing happenedto him a few months ago and he never got his keys back either! ******************be ware*************************** read more

I've been a member here for the last 2.5 years. People usually scoff at PF for not being a "real gym". But when you have people who gather in the name of fitness and workout equipment....sounds like it to me. I'm not too keen on their whole No Gymtimidation campaign either. I understand it, but I don't like. But whatevs. This particular facility is modern and extremely clean. It's one of the larger ones, so there is more than enough equipment. Love going here late nights to just workout and zone out. Plus, there are tanning rooms, massage chairs and hydrotherapy beds, which I love. It's worth the $20 per month. Just wish they had a scale and a pool. Then they'd be perfect! Ok. At least a scale. read more

For starters this one is NOT open 24 hours. It closes at 7pm on weekends... I travel for work and a friend turned me on to PF. It is nice because I can get a membership and just scan my black card at whatever location I go to and then get to working out...except this location apparently isn't sure that is how it works. I went on Sunday and they scanned me in and I went to work. On Monday I scanned and they made me sign in with a bunch of info... when I informed her I had been here the day before, she didn't care... told me I had to do this every time. I told her that I had been to a dozen or so locations and never asked to do this. She just shrugged it off with a condescending attitude and moved to another patron. If she had been polite or at least said 'please', I probably would not have minded so much, but that certainly was not the case. Manners are Free! Use them. The gym itself is fine, although the equipment is obviously on the dated side. Place was clean and well kept. In short, their employees are obviously not clear on policy: Different expectations on different days. And their hours could be better. read more

The staff is very professional and friendly, they greet you properly when you enter the gym and they say " Thank You" upon leaving the gym. I am a member of the Conyers Ga Planet Fitness, Jessica, Shane and Mica always seem to be there to greet me as I enter, they even know my first name by heart!. I guess that I am there so much and they see me practically every day. Jessica and her crew always do an excellent job of keeping the entire gym clean and sanitized the rest of the team is also on point and are doing an excellent job when it comes to customer service and cleanliness. COVID-19 caused a host of problems for many business, however the staff at Conyers Ga Planet Fitness adhere to the new polices and rules that keeps the pandemic from spreading for example the 6 feet rule is the first thing that you notice and hand sanitizer seems to be conveniently located all over along with paper towels and cleaning solvent for cleaning the equipment before and after using. Word to the wise. SEE FOR YOURSELF! Ok I had read all of the reviews for PE and was really thinking that it would be a bad experience. However the gym is clean, staff is corteous, and the facilities have all the equipment you need to get your workout on. I go 6 days a week, I get in and out, and then I partake of the hydrotheapy beds. I am impressed and would recommend the black card membership. I know they do pozza and bagels, however no one is forced to eat either. There ia also a really great smoothie place next door, of which also comes to the gym on pizza night. So your choice pizza or a healthy juice. Ultimately YOU have to make fitness and healthy eating YOUR choice. I love planet fitness conyers. Rocks all around. read more

So this planet fitness sucks. Seriously sucks. I quit going to this one and opted for the snellville one. Much nicer staff and nicer kept, with more of a variety. I got charged $40, 3 months earlier than what was stated (when you're a broke teenager that can really screw things up) and called to figure out what I was being charged for. The lady answered the phone and I told her my problem. Well clearly after hearing it she didn't want to deal with it because she hung up on me. I then immediately called back and stated that I was hung up on and the new lady on the phone laughed at me. She did end up verifying that it was the annual fee. Couldn't explain why I was told June 1st, not march first but at least I know now. read more

I went in to tan in the evening with my older daughter that's more than old enough to sit in a chair and wait for me and Keelan tells me that "they aren't a babysitting service" .... like I asked him to babsit my kid that's old enough to watch herself. When did it become a rule for guests supervising teens to not be allowed in the sitting area? My group home girls and I felt unwelcomed at this location when we were told we can't sit in empty seats that were not being used by employees for business. After this experience I'm saddened about the discrimination (as there were 3 other people sitting where we were before AND after we came in) and I will take my business to a gym that allows adults to supervise youth by sitting by the door. It hurts me that my girls who often feel unwanted experienced this during an outing that I thought would be a positive experience. read more
