Great facilities for a Y and the entry fee. Warm pool (perhaps too warm) and nice staff too. Lockers were pretty small though.

I've been visiting this Planet Fitness for about three months, and it works for what I need it too…read more I have a workout routine, and most of the time I'm able to complete it. A lot of people waste time on machines (mostly because they spend time between sets watching tv or using their phone) but I don't have a suggestion to stop this. I try to go at less crowded times when I can. I've only had to deal with a broken machine once on the floor, and it was fixed within a week or so. I pay for the higher tier membership, and that's where my disappointment comes in. I really wanted to use the total body enhancement machine but it was broken during my first month and a half and although the machine is working now the lights are pinkish-white rather than pinkish-red, so there's no point in using it. Also, the personal training options are very inconsistent. Once, I showed up and learned that the classes had been cancelled. The second time I signed up online and received a cancellation notice via email. The training classes are not a reliable perk. I've only had to go into the locker room once to lock up my things, and it was clean and didn't smell. I haven't used the showers or toilets. The people who work here are surprisingly friendly. And they are friendly to everyone. They aren't gushing in your face but I haven't encountered anyone with an attitude. Also, the hydromassage is pretty great. Even at just 10 minutes a turn, it feels really good.

I figured this would be a good opportunity to stop for a little bit of exercise and a shower. The 30 minute circuit was vacant and so I did not have anyone getting in y way as I did my workout on these machines including the steps to keep cardio going. Delightful release of endorphins. Showers were okay with just barely enough curtain for privacy and a hook directly next to each one for my gym bag. They were mostly clean and I'll note that the one on the end was missing a shower head. It looked like maybe it's been that way for a while. Still an OK workout and an OK shower and I'd stop here again the next time I am passing through Atlanta. [Review 1074 of 2024 - 741 in Georgia - 22101 overall]

The class was so active and engaging that the time flew by so quickly. Tiffany was very patient with me and literally showed me the ropes/cords. I'm fairly new to reformer Pilates but this was the best studio I've been to. It's such a bonus that there is free public parking in the adjacent garage next to the AMC and they don't require you to wear grip socks for the workout. I must come back here again. This studio is welcoming to newbies and seasoned vets alike.

Woah, what a workout…read more I'm a (trying to be consistent this time around) member of Classpass and really enjoy a good pilates class and figured I'd explore a few around the city and found my faves. And I ended up at solidcore one afternoon! This wasn't my first time at Pilates, but my first time at solidcore. I'm no pro by any means, but definitely a fan. Located in the Madison Yards shopping/retail area, solidcore is right next to a (free) parking deck and a few other fitness and beauty spots. The parking deck was super clutch as I didn't luck up on the great, but limited, spots right outside of the door. It was easy to park and walk only a few steps to class. So important if you're about to get your butt kicked in a pilates workout and need to hobble out to your vehicle, lol. Upon entry, there wasn't anyone at the front but I was obviously at the right place. I love that the door is actually locked and those signed up for class receive a code in advance. Love security measures to keep folks safe. It's an intimate space, so it was easy to see where to go and upon entry, I met with Sarah, our enthusiastic instructor. This class was packed, not a reformer was left out! I'll say that this was a great workout, but it wasn't for anyone who hasn't been to multiple solidcore classes, not even just pilates, Sarah was fantastic, but I absolutely noticed that I was the only person in the class who seemed to be new to solidcore. They do traditional pilates, but the dim lighting, the pacing, not for me. Being that I still consider myself a beginner because I don't immediately know the names of each move (like in Yoga) and because my body doesn't immediately flow into the movement because I'm still computing the instructions, lol, I was not on track with the others. I reallyyyyy wish I would have known it wasn't a beginners class or that it had been labeled as such on Classpass (idk if it is on their website, it very well may be). Luckily for me, I'm no quitter and I really don't even think there would have been a clear moment for me to slip out anyways lol. Sarah was kind, as at a few points when she saw that my form was incorrect she corrected me. I would have loved more guidance but don't blame that on Sarah in any way, as it really was dark in there and she had 6+ other students to pay attention to lol. But I'm big on getting my form right and found that to be a little struggle due to the pace and my usual 4-eyed self not having glasses and unable to see my form in the mirrors due to the lighting LOL. Very much, personal issues that I won't put on solidcore. Overall, a great class taught by Instructor Sarah and my body ached the next day in the best way. Although I had a good experience, I think I'll return once I have more consistent pilates classes under my belt so that I can keep up, or I'll be back when I can slip into a lower-level class until then!

She was one of my favorite trainers immediately because she pushed me past my comfort zone. I was not confident in myself especially with regards to exercise. In fact, it took me months to even gain the confidence to stop holding on while on a treadmill! Toni pushed me to let go in every way. She consistently increased my speeds, incline, weights and overall encouraged me to do more. However, I moved to another state and was unable to have consistent access to the fitness program where I met Toni. I went to Atlanta every month so I could continue to have the coaching of Toni and others. She suggested I hire a trainer locally, too. After a time, I wanted more significant results and more difficult workouts with an emphasis on strength. Immediately, I knew Toni could be that trainer. Toni offered to train me when I'm in town and send me personalized weekly workout plans. The results have exceeded my expectations. In 4 months, I have had more results than I did in two years. The results and progress are so much more than physical and strength changes but still that progress has been beyond my hopes. Equally important or maybe even more importantly, it has been a game changer for my confidence, stress relief, and a sense of pride in what I have accomplished with Toni's guidance. Toni pushes you hard because she BELIEVES in you and that is what makes me push myself to my limits with every workout. I have never felt a love for exercise. In fact, I proudly wore sneakers that I designed to say exercise sucks. And, now I cannot imagine my life without fitness. I crave it! If you had told me that I ever would look forward to an hour and a half in the gym, I would have laughed and laughed. But, if I can do it, you can, too. And, you can do it with the coaching of Push and Pull with Toni and Taylor. It won't be easy but I promise it will be worth it. I feel the youngest, strongest and my best self, I have ever been and I know I couldn't have done it without my coach and friend, Toni.
