I joined Planet Fitness two years ago and felt good about the decision immediately. Staff greet you with a friendly hello and quickly answer any of your questions. Today, at my request, a team member efficiently changed my membership status so I could utilize my gym membership benefit through my Medicare supplement. The maintenance staff keep the facility and equipment spotless. I particularly like that PF supports community efforts such as school supply drives, toy drives, etc. I agree with one reviewer that a sauna would be a great addition. I like the healthy choice options of beverages and snacks. Overall, a great place to start my day. read more

Love the darkened work out area! Makes it feel really chill when I go in the evenings. Have always been greeted by friendly staff. Machines work like new. Haven't ever had an issue with waiting too long to hop on a machine. Overall, I really enjoy this gym. The ONE thing I would say is that the music is a little too loud at times, but it's not that big of a deal when I'm wearing my over-ear headphones--the music just bleeds through at times. Love this gym- been coming here off and on since they opened up. Staff is great. Equipment great, however I don't know if I'll be going here anymore as the area is getting trashier and homeless are up and down the entryway and the membership is getting away from what made PF cool in my opinion. Today I was told to F@ck myself by a woman who asked me a question about a gym membership outside as I walked in. She came up to me and said the employees were rude to her. I've never had any bad incursions with anyone ever prior to today but I listened as she needed help. I thought something was initially wrong with her as she was kinda swaying. After that I blew it off, and just went to my workout. I don't blame the owner or staff. Every business deals with this at one time it seems and the city location gotten pretty bad around. I've heard some of the other patrons talk about it but it's sad that it's a thing. Aside, PF was an everyone gym. A place where everyone was able to come in and workout. No statements no cliches etc. yet in my past month I've seen more "Randy Roids" singing and dancing to themselves trying to pick fights (look at me look at me mentality) and taking up equipment, sitting for long stretches of time in addition to people arguing at the front door because the doorway is to cramped at times. I've seen it spill into the parking lot as well and had it happen to me even. It used to be a place where we all left the outside world- outside and worked out and that is priceless. Working out is mental as well. This behavior stood out because it would in that mindset not be accepted or tolerated. Now it seems the norm. Just seems that PF community is not there anymore. Business will only care always about money first. I'm not saying that's right but it does affect the culture of a place and it's bad when you just want to work out and someone thinks it's ok to yell at someone or try to afront in the equipment area or better yell at other members in the parking lot. read more

Have made this pf my go to location, and actually prefer this one over other locations as they have double of each dumbbell, every bench looks new/no rips, and the people (in the am) are so nice! Both the staff and other members. I do miss the PF 360 machine that some locations have but other than that it's a great gym for what I want. Petition to switch one of the tanning beds for a sauna that gets up to at least 180 would make it perfect!!!! I wish every planet fitness had saunas instead of tanning beds read more

PRO: Seemed clean, workers were friendly. Shower water was hot and changing areas were large. CON: Handicap shower size was very small, barely enough room to stand and have the seat folded out. The shower curtain also wasn't wide enough for full privacy. read more

This location does not encourage their patrons to wear masks. I can't tell you how many times I see people with no masks on what so ever. I count about 4-5 on average who don't wear them at all. read more

You cannot call anyone at Planet Fitness. You can only speak to a call center. They force you to come in in person or send a certified letter to pause or cancel your account. It's not the right way to do business. I would never sign up for Planet Fitness again. read more

There are many pros to this Planet Fitness location, such as it's new, it's clean, a respectable size with plenty of machines, open 24/7 with 24/7 staffing. You can't beat $10 a month with no contract. My reason for knocking off two stars is the 30 minute circuit area. I love circuit training, but every single time I've been to this location people are misusing the circuit area. If you want to stay on one machine for 20 minutes go out on the floor! There is no time limit on floor machines. Staff need to REGULARLY check the circuit area and remove losers who are ruining other people's workout. Update: I gave up on the circuit area for the above reasons. A few further observations: not enough weight benches at all. It is always a hassle to get a bench. Also, the ab area is wayyyy too small. Update #2: As I was leaving the other night I noticed a girl, who was not wearing shoes, walking on a treadmill. She was directly in front of the desk and in the employees' line of sight. They did nothing. How gross. Final update: Can't take this place anymore. I've cancelled and joined Anytime. So much better. read more

UPDATE as of July 29th : The Rude lady mentioned below has not been there in several months and the staff has only gotten friendlier. I truly do enjoy my time here. I am really happy with this gym. I am not an out of shape person but I have always been afraid to go to gyms because of the crazy fitness dudes who take over equipment and stuff. You know that "gym" vibe that most people complain about. I did not rate 5 stars for that one rude woman at the gym. The staff is Friendly enough. Every time I go its either 1 of 2 friendly guys or that one woman who looks at you like you are such a burden to her to be there. I would like to point out the lady with the black hair is unnecessarily rude. She would not speak to my guest directly when I brought one in. And if she did try to talk to my guest she would just say, "GUEST. Put your birthday please." If she already signed in (which she did) you could just use her name. And there is no need to be rude like that, its not like we were asking her to do things that is not paid to do. The equipment is always clean and working properly. Its brightly lit, lots of variety on equipment, they enforce the dress code (which is basically no jeans and no stringy body builder shirts), open 24 hrs, and the bathrooms/locker rooms are always clean. I have the black card and I get to take another person in for free with me. And its really free! Non of that "bring a friend for free" where in the fine print its only 1 time or they say you can bring someone for free but hassle you anytime they come in and push them to sign up themselves. If your a body builder or like to slam weights and grunt...this is not the place for you. If you just want to go in, do your thing and go, then its great. I'm very pleased with this place. Also you will find a lot of people abusing the 30 min work out room. You are educated on how to use it when you sign up and their are rules posted out front. People will just camp out on the weight machines and really ruin it for everyone. If you find people doing that, you can tell the people behind the counter and they will helpl. And by help I mean they will be really nice to you and that jerk hogging the equipment about it! That definitly makes me want to come back again and again knowing they will be happy and willing to help me. read more

Pretty sad customer service! I put my membership on hold in the beginning of COVID and being there is no end in sight I cancelled it on Oct 15th but they tried to charge my account 2 times! Today when I called to complain I was told I HAD TO GO INTO THE GYM TO CANCEL! WHAT PART OF NOT WANTING TO GET COVID BY coming into the gym do they not understand?? I guess Planet Fitness does NOT care if you have COVID or if you do not want to be exposed to COVID just go to the gym anyway! I was just told the only way to NOT go into the gym to cancel was send them a certified letter WITH medical reports! Are you kidding me! I should not be FORCED to expose myself and my family! Quoted "this is our policy" maybe Planet Fitness you might change the policy with COVID! But who cares right! The staff is very friendly and always very welcoming as I come in. They know me by name and seem very genuine. I really appreciate the efforts at keeping the gym clean 24/7 (Especially the showers and locker rooms)! Every morning there is someone wiping down the machines, vacuuming, or sweeping the floors, but there are stations for us to also wipe down after we work out. I have been a member of this club for 4-5 years. It's an ​ok club. I like that they open 24 hours, clean, nice staffs. Just I have a couple of things that they can be better. I wish the wifi quality could be improved. Especially in the back room (ab exercise room), there's no signal. And once the machine is out of order, they don't fix it for a while. read more

This facility was bought out. The owners are sooooo cheap! The old owner turned on the air conditioner. The new owner is far to cheap to run the AC for the members. Its 100 degrees outside and every day I come in to this gym it's miserably hot. It's the same price to go to LA fitness don't come to this location if you want a nice cool place to workout. This company and gym is a fraud. For some season even when you cancel they keep charging you. When you close down the ACH billing they come after you with charges on your credit card. And when you call... you get their corp call center and they direct you to go to the local gym to resolve. The very local gym that is causing the problem!!! Do not use these guys. read more

The only reason I gave Planet Fitness 4 stars is because of the lack of free weights. I would go 4 and a half stars if I could but this site doesn't let you do that. Otherwise, there are plenty of machines for cardio and weight training. They also have a designated abdominal area and another area that is for 30 minute workouts. They have a really nice price point at about $10 a month for gym members and $20 a month for Black card members. With the black card membership you get access to massage chairs, hydro massage which feels really good and unlimited tanning in either lay down or stand up beds. It also includes half price cooler drinks. The staff are pretty cool also. They're always willing to help you out if you need anything and they keep this place super clean. The no gymtidation gimick is pretty nice too. I like not seeing a bunch of wierdos in tiny tank tops flexing and screaming when they're lifting weights. This is a gym for regular people with normal lives. This location is also large enough that you don't need to worry about it getting jam packed. And yes, it is open 24 hours. The black card membership is definitely worth it if you travel quite a bit for work like I do, or you like to tan and have frequent massages that keep you out of the chiropractor's office. And it's all included. I put a picture of the black card promotional sign thats in the gym to see what it all includes. The personal trainers are included also. Yeah I'm a fan! I was skeptical about Planet Fitness but the Denton location blows things out of the water. Beyond friendly and helpful. I had some issues with my membership but the front desk staff spoke to me and made sure I knew that they would work with me while I am visiting. Also the atmospheres very chill and the gym goers are friendly. Plenty of equipment and you can get in a good workout no matter the time of the day. In a couple of months I will probably transfer here as my home club. I was impressed and most def love going here daily. Thanks to the staff for turning my planet fitness experience around for sure. read more

#1 I thought the hours were 24/7 but I usually go after work (between 5:40-7:00) so not sure. Been going here for about 5 months. I like it. Even though I go at peak hours, it's crowded but I can still get on machines with no or minimum wait time. Can't beat the cost. Locker rooms are clean. Machines are clean. Personnel have always been friendly Lots of TVs hanging from the ceiling so I can catch up on news and sports (I don't watch a lot of TV otherwise) Equipment is in good working order. One time I had an Eliptical that had a bit of a drag. I told the front desk and I have never had a problem with that or any piece of equipment. Then again the gym is new. Few things I don't like: *stretch area is too small *a lot of people don't clean machines after they use them but many do. The gym provides spray and paper towels and there are several locations this is offered so there's no excuse. Only once I noticed spray empty. I told the front desk on my way out And the guy filled it very quickly. *they have signs everywhere, "no cell phone use on machines" but people are constantly on their phone. Major pet peeve of mine. It's work out time, not social time. Wish they enforced this more. *wish you could use the hydro table for a fee without black membership. All in all I like this gym and it is a great read more

Good gym, sometimes gets busy but plan your day to come during the non busy hours. Love that I could come work out at midnight if I wanted to, and I did. Knocking two stars because getting someone to take over my contract was hell. We both had to go in multiple times and for a few months BOTH of our cards were being charged for one membership. I went back and forth with management for months before I finally had to threaten a law suit... then *gasp* they found the problem and refunded my credit card for the months I was charged when I no longer had a membership. Very frusterating, but overall a good gym, just don't plan on trying to get out of your contract. read more

Small, not a lot of equip or room compared to most planet fitness's I've been to. Also, was either lied to about my membership fees, or had an ignorant employee. At the end of my year contract I was going to cancel my membership to avoid the "yearly fee" but I was told by an employee I wouldn't be charged anything except for my monthly dues. They are the expert in false advertising. No hidden fees no gimmick. So you have to pay annual fee once a year, that's cool with me. But you have to buy out from the membership really, no one told me about it. Matter of fact, I had just updated my membership and had one month trial period and was told that it was a trial period. Ms. Nguyen literally forced me to upgrade my membership. However, after a month when I went to cancel my membership, she was like, you just renewed the contract so you have to buy out of the membership. I had been with Planet Fitness for over a year and at the time of sign up I was clearly told that there are no other fees except annual fees and monthly fees. Also, what disappointed me the most was, when Ms. Nguyen was forcing me to upgrade my membership, she was very polite and friendly, however, when I went to cancel my membership, she was very rude when I questioned her about the buy out fee. Most of the member will have to cancel the membership one day or other, this is not how you treat your members. DON'T LIE to the members saying there is no other fee and you can cancel anytime without mentioning you have to pay buy out fee. read more

As embarrassing it is to admit, I had never stepped foot in a gym a day in my life. I knew it was time to build the courage and just do it. I sat in my car scared of stepping out and doing something way out of my comfort zone. When I walked in the front door I was welcomed with three smiling faces. I had signed up online and there was no turning back at this point. I was nervous and feeling overwhelmed until one employee, Josh, came to me and asked if I would like a tour. He walked me through each section of the gym explaining it all with such ease. He told me a little about himself and a bit of his testimony in life and treated me as if he was a friend.... in the most professional way possible. He didnt have a clue as to what impact he was having on me in that moment but he continued to be friendly and helpful each time I walked in and out of the door. Encouraging me to come back. I will forever be thankful for him and how he helped give me the courage I needed to say "I can do this". So thank you Planet Fitness and your 5 star employee Josh. read more

This is a pretty nice place to workout recreationally. If your into going to the gym a lot to get more fit, I would say go someplace else because your considered a "lunk" if your trying to do something "fancy". And they will sound off the alarm. Which to me is rude. Some of the staff is nice. I got helped by a lady who was extremely rude to me for having my boyfriend's card. I came back in to try to sign up and she stared at me and gave me death threatening vibes. Other than that, this place is OK. read more

I advise all members & visitors to a Planet Fitness club to NOT store anything of value in their lockers. I've only been a member for a very short time and have already had my wallet and keys stolen from a LOCKED locker. For this crime, staff and corporate support from Planet Fitness was extremely minimal and NO AMOUNT of reimbursement was offered for my stolen items and added expense. USE CAUTION - If you do take valuables into any of these clubs, keep them closely with you at all times. There are individuals who purposely target fitness clubs for theft and Planet Fitness does not care and will NOT help you in the case of your stolen items. read more

It is such a shame. I truly enjoy the facility. Machines are clean, the membership fees are relatively inexpensive, and I enjoy having access to tanning beds and massage chairs. However, the staff is either incompetent or rude. One in particular, a woman with black hair and an off sense of humor. A different employee entered my credit card number in their machine as a checking account number. This caused my automatic payment to not go through. I was charged a late fee and denied access to the gym. When I asked them about it they told me that they would waive the fee since it was my only incident. Umm..excuse me? It was my first month. And it didn't go through because of an employee error. About 3 months into my membership my member ID apparently was incorrect. It didn't exist anymore. I tried to use the same ID that was written on my card and was told that was not my ID number. So I was given a different card (I am a black member and was given a white card because the were out). 9 month into my membership I finally got a new black card. Everyone at this location should be fired and they should have an entire new staff. You would think that a town full of college students would have a better chance at offering humans with a higher intelligence than a 3rd grader. read more
