I have been going to this Planet Fitness Gym for several years now and have had nothing but positives to say about the equipment, cleanliness, general enviroment and the staff. My one concern is that I see the staff on their feet for hours, either moving equipment, cleaning, standing behind the counter doing their jobs. There is absolutely no reason they should not have stools to sit on while behind the counter. Standing for hours has been shown to have negitive health consequnces. Another PF stop while on our way back to Arizona. I did call in advance to be sure we could park the RV in the lot- plenty of room. The gym was clean, not too busy at 1p on a Friday and was able to access everything I needed for a workout and a stretch. I liked that they have bigger areas for ab work/mats. Planet Fitness - Big plaza parking lot - Gyms Near Me - Edmond, Oklahoma

This facilities has a very limited amount of machines. The placement of the machines has no relevance. There is a hip adduction machine but no hip abduction machine. I was here 30 mins and was able to get on one machine I needed. It was not busy at this time. The only plentiful amount of machines are treadmills. The front desk guy greeted me. Only positive I can give. I travel so I use PF around the US and this has been my least favorite location. I will be putting my membership on hold and using a different gym while here in Edmond. read more

When I first joined this gym, I was really excited. The staff member who gave me a tour was very kind and helpful, which made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately, when another employee took over, I felt judged right away--in a place that's supposed to be a "judgment free zone." That first impression stuck with me, and as a result, I've only gone a handful of times over the last few months. I truly believe if my first experience had been different, I would be going regularly. This gym is located near my daughter's place, and I sought them out in hopes of getting a day pass while I was visiting. Turns out, you can get a 24 hour pass for $10, which worked out great for me, because I worked out in the afternoon one day, and at lunch the next. There are also weekly passes, but I didn't ask about pricing. Inside, the space is very large, clean, well lit, and has lots of gear to help you do your thing. The machines are new and well maintained, but you'd better like purple :) The culture here really emphasizes being a "no judgment zone" with signage and information on the numerous TVs spaced around. I didn't see any of that activity while I was there, and that's pretty nice. One thing that I wasn't prepared for, and maybe this is just a gym thing that I didn't know about: They don't provide towels, so bring your own. I have equipment at home that I use when I'm there, and other than that, it's usually hotel gyms, where towels are provided, so maybe it's just what I'm used to. They do have quite a few well placed stations with paper towels and spray to keep the equipment clean after use. Overall, I had a very good experience here. Check it out! read more

Rude, uncaring staff when trying to address cleanliness. Have previously made a complaint. Hate to be a "Karen". I got terrible rashes and had to visit urgent care and take steroids twice due to this trashy place. Trash on floor for extended periods of time. This is what I cleaned off just the floor in a stand up tanner after I rejected the first one due to it being dirty. The next day,go in bumping into a lady coming out because they didn't care to see if it was available,and no paper towels to do my Planet Fitness cleaning job. One time,an employee said hang on and I will clean real quick. When I say quick I mean less than 5 seconds to "clean" a lay down tanner. read more

The location of this gym is one of my favorite things because of the proximity it is to my dwelling. Inside there is an abundance of machines and televisions, clean locker rooms/gyms, and polite staff. There are only two things that bug me which are minor-ish issues but nothing that would bar me from renewing/coming in. First, one that I consistently see is when someone is done with a machine they walk off. So if they just spent 30 minutes sweating to their jams on an elliptical the member just leaves.....NOT CLEANING IT. I see this everytime I go in. Finally, something that's happened to me on a couple of occasions is while at the 30minute workout station. Let's say I'm on the step station and right as I'm ending to move to the next, someone will walk directly in use the next machine in my rotation forcing me to wait until they're done. I asked once and got the reply "Someone is using the other machine out in the open area, I know there's this one open, and I didn't want to wait". This is more of an inconvenience plus frustration but not a deal breaker. Otherwise, it's a pretty good place to workout. read more

I've been trying, without success, to downgrade my membership from Black Card to Classic since January. Though the barcode I use to check in reflects the change, the billing does not. I've spoken to two employees and signed off on new paperwork each time. The employee I spoke to back in January said I will be charged at the higher price for one more month--February. The other employee that I spoke to a few days ago said the change will take effect immediately. However, my account still shows that I will be auto-debited for the Black Card level soon. This seems like a no-brainer, so what am I missing? read more

I've been going here since 2017. Have never had a problem. It's rare I don't see employees cleaning, always greeted when entering and thanked when leaving. They have a lot of machines, treadmills, and TVs. Nice locker room. My favorite gym ever. read more

just had a good workout between my hair clients at the Edmond location and brought in a salad, pack of tuna, and a protein shake in with me to eat on after my workout and left it in my locker with my keys etc. after my workout I went to grab my things out of the locker and someone stole my shake and pack tuna, I know it wasn't the gyms fault because I didn't put a lock on my locker but I told the guy at the front desk just so he was aware and could keep an eye out. he was very nice and helped turn my experience leaving today to a positive one. Really a nice gym. BUT I had a Point issue when I moved from Edmond to Savannah---I had 521 points saved up and was working hard to get two tee shirts and I'm here trying to see I can reclaim them in Oklahoma----and I was told "sorry"! Nothing they can do---So here's the gist: Perkville runs the points for PF. When I moved and transferred my PF membership they cancelled and EXPIRED my points with NO notice and because every franchise is different, I LOST them ALL and Savannah doesn't do them! Do your due diligence before moving locations and don't lose your points. I'm so sad man. It's not about the merchandise really....it's about what it represented. Earned. Dang. But they could have TRIED to buck up something except "I'm sorry". read more

The gym is nice and clean. I enjoy going 4-5 times per week. However the tanning bulbs need changing. After using a stand up bed 5 of 7 days at full time you could not tell I had been in it. read more

I went in to Planet Fitness with the intention of signing up for a membership. I let the girl at the desk know that I had never been there but I was interested in joining a gym. She basically just sat there and looked at me so I finally asked what I should do. She asked if I would like to purchase a day pass or a week pass, she never even offered me the option for a membership (even though I told her upon coming in that was my intent). She never offered to show me around and when I asked where the locker room was she just pointed in that direction. I worked out after that but her customer service was so bad that I definitely did not want to purchase a membership after that. I give three starts because I was very impressed with the exercise equipment, atmosphere and overall cleanliness of the gym. read more

This gym is clean, cheap and fits your basic needs. The only downfall is no classes but at $10 (or $20 for upgrades) a month, I can deal with that. I got the black (upgraded) membership so that I can bring a guest and use the hydro massage bed, which is really nice if you're sore. I am not into tanning, but the black membership includes that too. I recommend this gym. read more

Great gym and great location! I try to visit this location as much as I can but I definitely love how clean and customer service friendly this location is. All the machines work and usually the gym is never that crowded. I will continue to come to this location because of the great customer service but mainly because of the proximity to my house. read more

I went to Planet Fitness On Edmond Road. I was interested in a membership so I drove there to look around and get some info. The staff there had much better things to do then to worry about me as a new customer. One person started to give me a tour then deserted me not to be found. I began to apply for membership and had a simple question. 1 of the members could not answer and the other guy wasn't happy that I was taking up his time. At this point I had all the information I needed and walked out without a membership. I will be find my fitness center else where. I will say this. Worst customer service ever, I have two accounts, one my son and my wife (VIP) and one just the normal one I wanted to transfer my name to be on my wife's account since she doesn't go any more and they wanted to re charge me all over again sign up fee and a first and last month member fee ( wasn't even a billing issue all the payments come out of my card with my name anyways) the guy at the counter posed no solution to my issue I'm tired of getting ripped off my franchise owners who don't care about customer service I've been a member for over 2 years out of tulsa. And they have always been good to me with great customer service, but here in Edmond it seams like they don't care about the Customer and just care about charging double signup fees to get more money out of the customers smh Sadly I had to cancel our families 2 memberships due to this lack of quality customer service:( read more

I have been a gym rat for a long time but I have grown tired of the narcissistic behavior that many of the regulars at other gyms exhibit, so I left my last gym for this one. So far everyone has been respectful, and I have not heard any ridiculous cussing and gross conversations. Ample equipment and cleanliness too. Works for me very well! read more

The only reason I have them a 4/5 is because the customer service was mediocre. Supposedly I was supposed to get a tour of the facility, didn't get much of anything. It's pretty straight forward but there's some things that I would've like to know when I started. This is the first gym I've ever joined so I'm kind of a rookie. I would have given 5 stars except for the manager Jasmine. I groan inwardly whenever I see her working the desk, she is not nice and appears very judgmental in a judgement free zone. I love working out here and the rest of the crew is amazing, they are always there with a friendly hello and a smile, the manger could learn from them. Work out here! Rude management, I have been sent away after showing up to work out multiple times. Most recently I was sent away because my 15 year old niece's student I.D. was not good enough to get her in as a guest. So myself and the 6 other people were forced to leave. We have successfully worked out at multiple locations where here I.D. was more then good enough. It seemed to be some kind of ego trip, especially since they are willing ti send away new business.
