All cardio equipment has been replaced, they now have 6 stairs, a ton of peloton like bikes even though they aren't my thing, row machines and a bunch of other new equipment. The gym is typically clean and the staff is friendly. My complaint is mainly about the PF Express room. I have two kids and I really need to be in and out of the gym quickly. The PF Express 30 minute workout is perfect for that. However, people are constantly not following the rules and hogging machines or sitting on their phones. The signs say the employees monitor it and that anyone who doesn't follow the rules will be asked to leave, but that doesn't happen unless you complain to the desk. I shouldn't have to ask the desk and I shouldn't have to ask people to move. When I ask people to move or when I have had to ask for employees to help I get dirty looks from the other gym goers and it's embarrassing. I no longer like going to the gym on the days I want to do the 30 minutes express. When I have asked the employees to help they always do, it is just frustrating that there is nothing in place to be proactive about the problem. A start would be actively monitoring the room like they say they will or having a more blatant sign like other Planet Fitness locations. I know this also happens on the main floor too, which is why I have stuck with the 30 minute express. read more

Krystal who is the club manager has been absolutely wonderful helping me these last few months. She has made my experience fabulous and I recommend everyone to go and see her and her staff. I'm a Northern guest to Alabama for the month of February. I have visited this gym 12 times during my stay. Every visit has been a pleasant experience. Just signed up for a membership two weeks ago and have had a positive experience. One star less because while the staff are polite and helpful, I feel as though they give me the shortest amount of information possible instead of thoroughly answering my question, making me feel like an inconvenience to them. Update: Just wanted to say some good things since I focused on the one bad. I always feel like this gym is very clean- from the equipment to the bathrooms. I've seen guests of all ages, races, genders, and sizes and no one is ever judged. People are generally courteous and while it can get busy- there is always something you can do. read more

NOTICE: Planet Fitness - Foley, AL recently had a staff member test positive for COVID-19. Said staff member worked with COVID for 2-3 days BEFORE being quarantined. The reason for this post is two-fold. One, the other staff who worked around the infected employee (including my wife which puts me at risk) were never told not were the members who signed into the gym during these days told so they at least had the option to get tested before possibly exposing others, many of which are high risk (elderly). Second, a similar situation occurred at Planet Fitness in Morgantown, West Virginia where over 200 people tested positive (Google it). Planet Fitness' stock dropped by 6% due to the failure to notify which resulted in many people contracting the virus. With that said, there may not be a federal mandate on notification of possible exposure but the moral thing to do, upon determining that an employee has tested positive for COVID, is to shut down the gym for a thorough cleaning and notify the local board of health so an inspector can oversee the situation to include, but not limited to, notifying all staff and members who were possibly exposed and pay for the employees to be tested. It appears that to avoid a drop in memberships, gym closure time, and having to pay employees while they were out during the closure, the owner, either directly or indirectly through management, negligently ellected to sweep this situation under the rug putting many people at risk. Notification by the way did NOT have to include naming the infected staff member. The notification could've been posed as, "if you were present in the gym between October21-26 (Now through November 12th due to the second outbreak) when the confirmed COVID infected employee was working, you should consider getting tested to avoid the spread of the virus should you find that you are in fact infected. Therefore, if you were present at the Planet Fitness - Foley, AL location between Oct 21-26th and developed COVID-19 this may very well be the cause. We were traveling Planet Fitness Black Card members and read the poor reviews for this club location but decided to try it. The check in process was easy. The club is smaller than our normal club but everything was in working order and clean. I showered there and the bathroom super clean with cleaning occurring while I was there. Don't know why their scores are low but we found it to be a great find. read more

I signed my husband up 3 weeks ago to the Foley location vice the Pensacola location in error. I immediately went to to Pensacola location to try to correct it. 3 weeks later it has not been done. We love this place..there are so many machines and helpful employees here..we joined even before they opened and got a great deal..they are always having specials.. we were trying to go every other day but things happened and we missed about a month and I could sure tell it..so we are now trying to get back on a schedule.. it is a very clean gym, employees are always cleaning the machines and they have cleaning solution nearby and encourage gym members to clean their machine before and after using..we have gone all hours and different days and there are always machines open to use..I especially like the 30 minute workout and if u cant use all machines do what u can.. the first Monday of the month they have pizza . The second Tue, bagels and coffee, double check those days as I may have them mixed up.. we love the gym.. read more

As a work-traveler I have visited numerous locations and the Foley, AL location is the first gym that is the unfortunate exception. We go here only because it is the closest to our house and there's a lot of machines. The kids behind the counter are too young and inexperienced to be working there. They make you feel like an inconvenience when you come to the counter. They're always on their phones or have their boyfriends/girlfriends/friends hanging around the counter. Huge groups of high schoolers take up the machines and stand around visiting in front of the machines. It's very uncomfortable. I feel as though there needs to be adults working the counter and they should keep people moving around and not have 8 high school boys hogging one machine. read more

Well just rejoined the gym after several years, used to go to Golds Gym, this is really the only one in my area. I like it because it's a gym and prices are cheap, what I didn't care for is they gave me an iPad, had me register myself, no one told me anything about the gym or equipment, no one showed me around, no one told all the options of the gym. No one told me to use my phone and scan the little codes on the machine in order to learn to use the machines properly. No one told me to make sure I'm wiping each machine down after I use it (yes I know this) my point is the Custer service is not good! They should be proactive and want to point out all the benefits of the gym and want to make sure everyone has been given a tour of the gym. If I were someone who's never been in a gym before I wouldn't know any of the things I know about a gym. For instance, I brought my grandson (14) last night and got him a membership, if I had not been with him he wouldn't know the first thing on what to do, he didn't know you're supposed to wipe down equipment, I taught him that, he went and got on a machine and was sitting on it backwards because he didn't know, I had to tell him how to use the machines etc, I just feel the employees could have and should explain all the options they have, ask if they need to be shown how to use equipment, point out where the bathrooms, lockers, steam rooms, tanning beds are, things of that nature. My friend had to point out where I hang my keys and my friend is the one who told me about the lockers and to make sure I bring my own lock. I feel they need to up their customer service! On the plus side, they have a lot of equipment, the place was clean, they go around and make sure the spray bottles stay full, and the counter people were nice. Now every time I come my bar code will not come up.... it takes five minutes to get me checked in and nobody seems to be able to fix it!!! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! All of the equipment seems to be top-notch and is maintained in good condition. With all of the various workout equipment I am able to work every muscle group. It is also kept very clean. Someone is always cleaning the equipment or the locker rooms. The only other review as of this time says that the employees were rude. Okay, so don't be a lunk at planet fitness, I was not a lunk and got banned..owner says I threatened employees. No way , they got upset because I gave a bad review. Will be asking for the video tape tomorrow supposed ly showing me threatening people.. sure won't get it since didn't happen. There employee Colby got smart with me so I spoke to manager and she said I was the problem.. basically in my opinion they can ban you for whatever reason they want.. they were in wrong and I get banned. Would not recommend this gym to anyone, the equipment is great and clean, but employees and manager are very rude. Owner left me message saying I was banned because of threats that didn't happen. I have a black card membership here and it's always clean and friendly. But when I first started going here I got 3nails in my tires from their parking lot. And then someone at the front desk told me I could have a locker to keep my gym stuff in and she even had me sign a paper stating it was my locker. I didn't keep my copy but a few months later I notice one day my lock was gone and all my gym stuff (Bluetooth head phones, t shirt, shorts, towel, tanning lotion, gym bag, tanning eye wear, and some money) all of it was gone. I went to the front desk and the turn over rate was high so it was always a new person every week so this guy I talked to told me that they cut the locks the other day and put everyone's stuff in a box and anyone was allowed to go through it. I wrote an email to the company and told them what happened and they said the owner can change the rules whenever and however they want without giving notice. So all my stuff was gone and I couldn't do anything about it. I still go there because it's the nicest and cheapest gym membership in my town but I will never trust them. read more

This gym is incredible! Plenty of equipment and a very friendly staff. They are opened and staffed 24/7, which is amazing! Also, you cant beat unlimited massages and tanning for $21.99!!! I definitely recommend signing up at Planet Fitness in Foley! Ask for Bradley, hes the best! read more
