First impressions are the place has a bad odor throughout, beyond a musty smell, and the bathrooms are filthy, both men and women sides. There was also no one at the front desk to monitor arrivals. I love everything about this place! They have great equipment and it's not crowded at all when I go. The black card membership is well worth the low monthly fee. The staff is very knowledgeable, pleasant and always helpful. They also keep the place very clean and more often than not you'll see one of them cleaning. I've been a black card member for a couple years now. I love the atmosphere. All the people working out there are awesome. Ive gained some cool friends and am happy to have been there a long time. Some of the equipment is constantly broken or in repairs but that's something I can get over. I've had an issue with the staff members ignoring me. I'll ask a question which is answered but then I am neglected after saying anything else. The management is usually with women in the gym. My whole gym session he's not around. Majority of the time the staff are on their cellphones or distracted by women. The management and staff are weak. I can handle weak staff & management from planet fitness . What I can't handle is being ignored. I asked if i was under contract and was told "I don't know." Then I asked if there was a fee for cancelling and got told "I won't know until you cancel." I was never asked why I was leaving. It just lists it under "no time." I'm at the gym EVERYDAY. I've had a couple other bad experiences not worth the time of day but I hope one day I can go in this Planet Fitness and be able to ask the staff basic questions. read more

i have been a member of plsnet fitness tally Florida for years. I own a summer residence in Largrange Georgia. I always had good service in Tallahassee , today I was in Lagrange and was waiting to use a massage chair, no one was up front so I was looking for an employee for approximately ten minutes. when I never saw anyone I saw a placard with manage choir one. that is when a very rude young female came up and said you can't come behind the counter. I said I have been waiting for ten minutes, she said no you have not, I said beg to differ but I could not find you. You don't have to be rude, what is your name. she said look on my name plate that is my name. The rudeness is in all for and no employee should be rude to customer. For me my experience as a heterosexual African American male, my experience at this location was not good. Most of the staff identify in other areas and aspects of life and this became an iconvenience as I was seemingly singled out by staff, members, and investors and continuosly targeted and bullied. I spoke with staff, management and even wrote surveys to upper management about my experiences to no avail. Ultimately I was banned from the location based on my belief system, how I identify, and me exercising free speech on my social media platform. I am currently a member at another Planet Fitness location (I have to drive 35 miles) in which the facility appears to be under better leadership and management practices. the gym is a nice place with mainly nice people but staff members need to say something to the members who sit on equipment to surf their phones while claiming to be entering stats, they converse with others while claiming machines and talk for a long time while not doing nothing , put their water bottle on machine and work out on other equipment so they come back to claim machine . I realize the fear of getting an angry ironworker mad but this is supposed to be a gym without fear and intimidation . Also machines that are popular they have tons but some only two. read more

I rarely take the time to do something like this but when it is what it is, you deserve the review you get. First off, I was never really comfortable working out at planet fitness to begin with. I had never seen or heard about the lunk or Lurch alarm thing. The young staff basically treat you like you're a child because they have been inscribed with some sort of sense of high authority over the subject that exercise in their gym. The whole lunk alarm crap is the most immature thing I have ever seen. The atmosphere really is hypocritical. Basically its a judgment free zone unless you are actually going there to push yourself and maybe make a grunt or pickup an actual heavy weights. Frankly it made me feel like mediocre is the standard and I was not to exceed that or I would have the watchful eye of the overlords on me. With that said, my stay with this gym was not long relationship. However after a close observations of some of our family bills, now years later, i saw that I must not have canceled this membership before we moved. (Probably another of their strategies to keep customers long past their natural relationship. IE. Make the bill just low enough that is can easily be over looked and become a slow leak of your bank account over an extended time) Looking back have been getting charged for over two years, when their sytems know full well we have not stepped foot into their facility in multiple years. The right thing to do would be cancel any account that was not used for a certain number of months or maybe even reach out to those members . Whether this concept is ethically arguable or not is what it is and I would say it is certainly a concept of ethical evaluation. I'll move on to the final pathetic actions of this higher than mighty company and that is the hurdles they place to cancel these memberships. Options 1. you must drive to THE THE branch you enrolled at and cancel in person. So if you have moved that is certainly out of the question. And the second is to send a written letter through certified mail. Are you kidding me PF? I can send money around the world in a split second. Go to a virtual meeting on my phone with coworkers from around the country by clicking on a single link. Turn the lights on at my house, change my hot water heater water temperature and crank my car from applications on any phone and the ONLY option i have to make you stop robbing every month for services I haven't used in years is for me is to write you a freaking letter, drive to the post office and have is certified mail to you? You are truly pathetic crooks I thought you were pathetic before but you are far worse than I even realized. You are crooks on top of all your other questionable hypocritical actions. I hate that I am the one writing a 1 star review because we all know they are usually the crazy unreasonable person with the one bad experience, but if you can truly tell me that the only options you give members to cancel their memberships are righteous and just not an attempt to squeeze more payments out of them because peoples lives are busy and you figure if you can make them jump through enough hoops they will forget and you can squeeze some more juice out of them, then you are even worse then just being self righteous cooked company. You truly are lost if you don't even realize what you are doing it completely unethical. Hope everyone enjoyed the read. We get robbed on a regular basis and companies are shells or what they once were. Customer service is a lost skill or care for companies today. I love this gym! I always feel welcomed and accepted. No one seems to judge or criticize. It's always clean and plenty machines available. Depending on the size crowd you prefer to work out around will determine the time of day you'll want to go. Only my second time coming here and I did the PF 360 30 minute class. Our instructor was Trisha and she was awesome! She customized to everyone's personal needs and fitness levels and pushed everyone to do their best without pushing too much. The class is a great way to learn about the equipment and how to utilize it. read more
