Been coming to this gym for about a year now. Started off by paying $39 a month but recently started paying $29 because of my company's discount. Either way ... I do not like that I pay this much for a gym that does not have a swimming pool, basketball court, and most of all the hours of operation. Working in the automotive industry many people can't work out during the hours that Towne Fitness has set. Overall... Towne Fitness is a great place work out in the city of Lagrange. There aren't a lot of other gyms that offer a clean facility, towels, showers, sauna, tanning beds, personal training, and various aerobics classes. I respectively request the trainers have working mics...the last Friday 5:15 a.m. RPM class mic did not work and in today's class (Thursday) the mic did not work. The RPM class 5:15 with Rick or Kim or Mark is excellent but the challenge is the mics...we have great music, fans (not working properly but we "rig" these) and trainers... but can not hear their instructions when the mics do not work or they have to strain their voice to give the class...it's like cheerleaders on the opposite field where the fans are - we can't hear !!! I have been going to Towne Fitness as long as they have been open. I always loved the gym until recently. We used to have a variety of classes spread out throughout the week. For the last year almost all of the cardio classes are on Tuesday and Thursday. Why would they offer 3 cardio classes on Tuesday/Thursday and none on Mon/Wed/Fri? So if you only want to come on those two days and do all of your classes for the week this is the place for you. I have had to join another gym for the summer just to get in my cardio classes. i have begged for 9 months to have the classes spread out, but no one cares or listens to members. Many people have already left because of this and I am trying to decide if I should just leave too. The problem is that the person who makes out the class schedule has never been to a class and has no knowledge of aerobics, classes, etc. Join if you want, but beware, if you are interested in classes only. read more

I'm stoked! I have been looking all over for an affordable gym that offers classes produced by Les Mills, and I found it here. I got spoiled about 8 years ago when I took Les Mills classes in Carrollton, Ga. Since I have moved from there, I haven't found them anywhere! I am moving to La Grange, so I started my search early. I don't need a pool, basketball court, or a track as long as I have a variety of Les Mills classes to choose from. I can fit classes into my schedule 7 days a week. They have a steam room, which I love, and tanning beds are included in your membership. I won't be using them a lot, but it's offered. I love the setup, but most of all, I love the staff. I had called and spoke to Laura and she has to be the sweetest lady in the world. I called her 5 times with more questions and she spoke to me the same each time. Also, I called before coming from Atlanta because I knew I wasn't going to make it in time before they closed to sign up. Jordan said she would start my order and have it ready when I came in. She took my information over the phone and she said she had to stay late anyway to do some extra work. When she gave me the tour, she took her time. She didn't treat me as if she should have been off work already, and I didn't feel like I was an inconvenience. Excellent Customer Service! They give you complimentary coffee. . .awesome.
