However, I was disappointed to find that no additional cardio machines were added (only the broken ones removed) and no fans were installed in the old basketball court, now repurposed as a cardio room. Less than two weeks after reopening, the location closed again due to an emergency utility repair, which may have been related to the leaking pool (clearly not updated during the renovation). Before the renovation, I canceled my membership set to renew in April. With EOS opening across the street, I will definitely check them out!

Then the only three precor machines there, two of them are broken!!!! WTF?! You invested in a ton of weight lifting machines-not all of us uses that, most like to do cardio! I hope all the 24hour locations would get rid of the crappy eliptical machines they have now & return the ones from Precor! And, the treadmill are equally shitty! They have to bounce to them! Then their steam room is caked with mildew! You go to the gym to get fit & not inhale mildew spores and get sick!

They are so great with the kids and it frees me up to lift, play pickleball, or participate in a class. They will watch your child for up to 2.5 hours which should be more than enough time for a workout and shower. Additionally, kids can participate in fun activities like rock climbing, ballet, hip hop dancing, and martial arts while you work out. The thing that really drove home the value for me was the parents night out. Every week they will watch your children for 3 hours on Friday or Saturday night. On the pickleball front, it's hard to beat having 6 indoor courts, which are relatively easy to book - all at a cost of membership that is comparable to pickleball clubs.

I have been a member of Lifetime Fitness for over 20 years (based at the Plano and Allen…read morefacilities) For a place that calls itself an "Athletic Country Club" with the continually increasing prices to match, this place does not live up to the moniker. In particular, as a customer of the Allen Spa I have never understood why the spa did not have it's own bathroom facility. Massages, facials, and hair appointments frequently take a while. It is reasonable that someone would want to use the restroom before, during or after a service. The idea that you have to walk across the entire facility to the locker rooms for their 5 aged and sad looking stalls in the ladies locker room seemed ridiculous and potentially embarrassing. So the "brilliant" answer was using the much closer "family" bathroom in the "family" locker room. That was workable, but certainly not a great answer. And now they have decided that Spa clients are no longer allowed to use the "family" bathroom. I do not know the real reasons why, but I assume it has something to do with not being a "family." Locked out! So we are now fully expected to trek our foiled, caped and oily bodies across the very large and very public facility to those previously mentioned locker rooms. I know of no country club that would expect its members to parade around in such a manner, nor inconvenience their hard working stylists and therapists with a bathroom so very far away. I really wish the Lifetime would fix this situation. It makes visiting the Spa stressful rather than Zenlike and peaceful....which is how a spa should feel.

It is alway over crowded and we were founding members and they back out of all the founding member perks like opening just for founding members one weekend before it opened to the public and there was alot of others. It took us hours to join back in the day before the place opened and they could care less about us so we cancelled. I tried the gym at 5 am and 7 pm and no matter what is is packed. All the teens up there is annoying too they are slamming down equipment and always on their phones. Pool is just disgusting with the amount of people they let in there Also they have the lap pool taken over or booked all the time so they can make even more $$$ they do not care about the members just$$$

I've felt myself getting stronger week by week, and the staff has been incredibly accommodating with modifications as I manage knee arthritis. Cody deserves special recognition for keeping things fun and engaging. Right now he's running a bingo card challenge where hitting certain objectives earns you a Starbucks gift card, and during the holidays he did a "12 Days of Christmas" raffle for everyone who showed up. These little touches keep you motivated and create a great community atmosphere. A slap in the face.
