New gym smell alert. Brand new gym - everything, and I mean everything is brand new; cardio, strength and amenities. Probably, no, definitely the best option in the entire Milton area. The next closest gym that's anywhere as nice is the new Planet on Mobile Hwy. Don't even bother with the other garbage gyms in town. They are all overpriced with dated equipment. I secretly hope this location puts them out of business. I can't honestly imagine why anyone would spend $30-$60 a month on the other local options with much less and end-of life-equipment with this new PF in town. Don't believe any of the talk about how planet doesn't have real workout equipment there is more than enough equipment here to get a GREAT workout in. PF360, battle ropes, dumbbells up to 75#, kettles up to 30# (wish those went higher) 4 smiths, 3 cables, 2 rows. 6 stairs, I stopped counting at 50 treadmills, needless to say they have plenty. I like the width and length of the decks on the treadmills, too. They aren't the small footprint ones (they are actually bigger both in width and length if I'm not mistaken over the new generation ones at Mobile Highway) and are a bit more conducive to hard core running/sprinting/intervals (if that's your thing) than the smaller decks/lengths in other PF clubs. I really like the treadmills here. Black card amenities: 4 hydros, 2 massage chairs, 5 tanning beds 2 of which are the new hybrids (sadly the tanning beds haven't been inspected by the health department yet and aren't operational yet but it sounds like they shouldn't be by the last week of the month) and a total body enhancement/red light therapy if you believe in that kinda stuff. I've never really tried it. Lockers: They have-mini lockers with integrated combo locks on the gym floor if you either don't have a lock or forgot yours. The lockers in the locker room seem to be half-size of other Planets but I have no complaints about that. Just don't bring your biggest hockey sized bag cause it won't fit but a backpack fits just fine. Hours: 24X5 (24X7 Monday through Friday) Monday 5AM-12AM Tuesday 24 hours Wednesday 24 hours Thursday 24 hours Friday 12 AM-10PM Saturday 7AM - 7PM Sunday 7AM - 7PM Super friendly staff All in all, this is a slam dunk no-brainer, so glad Milton finally has a PF and I don't have to make the 40 minute drive to the PF on Mobile Hwy anymore.

This is a very nice gym... I travel 40 minutes every so often to visit. I'm a black card member so I also use their massage chairs/hydro massagers. Their staff is always so nice and helpful, they answer every question I have kindly and quickly. The hydro massagers use warm water and are soooo nice. The gym itself is very clean and not as busy as some of the other planet fitnesses near me, I also feel like the people here are less judgmental and more diverse. They have many different machines. Highly recommend.

The little fans are really neat & great for cardio :)

Still a great place to work out. Plenty of space and beginner friendly. They are open until 10 on the weekends now!

Peak Performance Very upsetting the way they took advantage…read moreof my 70 year old wife that is diagnosed with parkinson's and early onset dementia. She thought that exercise would help with her mobility. I got intouch with these guys and per our conversation they told me for personal trainer it would be 30.00 per 30 minute sessions and did not do contract's. My wife went to a meet and greet and really liked Skylar. I asked my wife how it went and she said fine. I asked if they charged her 30.00 for the day and she didn't know. I checked her Ssi account and saw they charged her 180.00.so I figured she paid for 6sessions. As she was going she started not being able to feel well enough to go. Her neurologist told her she needed physical therapy instead of the exercise she was doing. So she felt like she wanted to complete the 6 session's. But she was on new medication and really could not do it. We figured that the 2 remaining sessions we would just forfeit. I told them sorry but she will be starting physical therapy as soon as she adjusted to the new medication. I was told that since they weren't given 30 day's notice that they were going to bill her for an additional two weeks of 140.00. I said but you don't have contacts so I don't understand. He said that they have agreements and she signed one. I said she didn't know she had agreed to anything like that. I told him she never received any paperwork. So he texted me copies of the so-called agreement. It had no date or dollar amount so they could have billed a million dollars according to that agreement. It also referred to the contract 2 time's even though he said that they don't have contracts. I checked my wife's account and saw they had already charged her 140.00 a week earlier. My only option was to cancel her debit card and have a new one reissued so they could not hit her for any additional charges. My wife signed the paperwork where she was told to and didn't understand what it really said. She can't read without her glasses and did not have them with her. And I know they didn't take the time to make sure she really understood the paperwork. I have to explain things to her several times before she understands what I telling her. I feel that they really took advantage of her. It's called elderly financial abuse and they should be ashamed of themselves. I only hope they don't teach their children that this is acceptable. So my worning to you is look out for the most vulnerable people in your life so these kind of predators cannot take advantage of them.

My goal was and continues to be to get more healthy. Linda has done a wonderful job in building my strength and overall fitness. She also discusses healthy eating habits with me. I have to be honest that I don't always follow her advice because if I did I would weigh a normal amount and be able to run a 10 K but I am now working out consistently. Linda inspires me to continue to challenge myself and strive for a healthier lifestyle. The hardest thing was taking the first step and finding a trainer. I was very fortunate to find Linda. It takes time to make friends in new places and I knew the first few months would be hard. But, I quickly found friendly faces at Pensacola Athletic Center. The staff remembered my name after my first visit, always make a point to say hello/goodbye and make conversation in passing. Little did they know, this carried me through some of my more lonely months. In addition to staff, I quickly made friends with a lot of fellow athletes and gym goers & after a month of attending regularly, being consistent was never easier. I looked forward to hard workouts and pushing myself as that is the culture here. I've never quite felt like I had a gym home like this one. We're moving again in a couple of months and this has become the hardest place to say goodbye to. I even broke my elbow a few months ago and I continued to show up on all of my regular days just to do what I could. I knew I could rely on my peers to help me load weight onto machines, and I was right, people were quick to offer a hand. Oh - and the gym is really nice. There are 4 racks accompanied with deadlift platforms that are rarely all full, when they are, the wait is never too long. They've renovated it since I've joined and hosted plenty of events. They've slowly rolled new equipment in to replace old equipment. & the gym is never completely packed. There are times it's busier, but never unbearable.

On August 25, 2025, I signed a 1-month membership contract with Pensacola Athletic Center (HS #14997) and paid $107.49 by credit card. The signed contract includes the cancellation rights under Florida Statute § 501.017 (the Health Studio Act). On August 27, 2025, within the 3 business day cancellation period, I delivered a written cancellation notice (which I sent via email and certified mail). Despite this, the gym failed to acknowledge or act on my cancellation. They did not confirm cancellation, did not refund or void charges, and subsequently adjusted my account to show a "past due" balance of $157--an amount higher than the original contract price. This is now somehow a past due balance of $166.50 and the only communication I get is that they are going to send this to collections. The gym has never provided a legitimate explanation, has not responded to my certified correspondence, and continues to assert I owe fees. This conduct violates Florida's Health Studio Act, including the statutory requirement to refund amounts when cancellation is timely. I have since requested that FDACS investigate this matter, require the gym to confirm cancellation in writing, correct its records, and refund any improper charges. Avoid at all costs, there is also no way to delete your information from the app (and the app is absolutely worthless).
