I recently signed up for the classic membership. They also offer a higher level with access to tanning, red light, and massage chairs. The sign up process was very easy, and, at the time, they had a special for a penny registration fee. The staff is very friendly. The gym is very clean, and they clean the locker rooms every hour. The women's locker room is VERY nice with cool lighting around the mirrors. The equipment is brand new, and the gym was recently renovated. They offer an app and QR codes to make fitness and workouts easier. They have a ton of treadmills and cardio options. I have never had to wait for cardio or the weight machines. Bait and switch billing! Instructed an employee on phone to cancel my account was assured that that would be the end of it . Was also told by the same employee that he was going to put a freeze on my account and I would not be billed until I chose to unfreeze it. Well, I never chose to unfreeze it and reiterated I do not want the account. I travel throughout the country and I am not in Michigan anymore. They sent my account to an overseas company to attempt to collect.. Lie, cheat and steal your money. My husband and I love coming to this gym. My husband signed up for the black card membership which includes one free guest. The black card membership allows you to go to any Planet Fitness location. You can use the massage chairs, hydromassage, tanning, total body enhancement, and a discount on cooler drinks. Guests can not use these extra amenities though. It's $24.99 for the black card membership and $10 for classic. The startup fee is different for both memberships. We actually visited two other locations near us and we prefer the Mt Clemens location. This gym was way bigger than the other two. The open floor plan gives you plenty of space. The gym isn't over crowded. We have never had any issues with anyone while working out. The machines are all super clean. They do have bathrooms with showers and lockers. Remember when Planet was 365 24/7? Yeah not anymore! More like 355 and these three days closing at 10pm.. these 4 days at midnight. And you get an abrupt reminder if you show up 1 hr prior to closing..who does that? Probably going to dump this place soon. My other gym is 24/7 365. I don't have time to look at posted business hours to see what days are closing earlier and whether or not they're open on a holiday. The inconvenience exceeds the 10$ per month. read more

If you have the Black Card,, Planet Fitness is probably the most convenient thing in the world. Specially for someone like me who travels all over the place. So when we got wind that we were going to be in the area. We totally didn't want to miss our work out for the day. We walked in with our gym bag,, we signed in and we proceeded to the locker room area. The men's room was really nice. Everything was rather brand new. There seems to be cubicles in these ones. No shower, but I take it for the shy types who aren't really comfortable changing in front of someone. I could tell from the tiles that it was still just recently put together. No dark spots on the front. The work out floor area was massive. Tons of cardio machines. Free weights and strength training machines as well. 30 minute circuit in the middle. Drinking fountains and uh,, benches. There's also a massage chair and bed area if you fancy getting those done. Plus tanning if you're into that sort of thing. Anyways, I enjoyed my quick work out here at this location. I would definitely come back again if given the chance. Thank you so much for reading my review. Nice new gym. The place is super clean not crowded yet because they just opened. The staff are super friendly. The manger Hayley is very friendly and super helpful. This morning staff member(12/12/23@7am) he is extremely rude and disrespectful my elderly father goes to this location I also have a black membership as does my father and husband but on days I don't work out I stick around to make sure my 80 year old father who has cancer is safe and can use equipment with out getting hurt this young gentleman at the desk today 12/12/23@7am was very mean disrespectful and made me my father and my husband feel unwanted then after explaining to him I'm just checking on my father no using any equipment this kid decided to call cops on me when I'm also a black card memeber who's ID is on file. I can not stand this place anymore. The staff is nice, and the gym itself is alright, but the ppl who go here are the worst. It doesn't matter what time you go or if there's 5 members up to 100, you absolutely can not get a workout in. The gym does not reinforce the rules that are in ur contract and everyone there is just sitting on equipment staring at their phone, or just being creepy predators. Waiting 2 hours to use a machine and not being able to use it is insane, and it's every single day. I contract a bacterial infection and a fungal infection in one month due to ppl not washing their hands and not cleaning their equipment. The members there claim that areas or certain machines belong to them and you are not allowed to use them even if it's the same exact machine. 3 different guys have tried to fight me over the last 2 months because I was using the equipment they wanted, and even though the same exact machine was right next to us not being used, they refused to use it cuz the one I was using was the one they wanted. I was into this gym as a guest of my boyfriend. I used to have an account but switched banks and just never signed back up. I got to the counter and gave the guy my phone number which I always do as i have been in 3 or 4 times before this happened. the guy proceeded to tell me I had a balance and could not workout if I didn't pay it in front of everyone standing at the counter. I was so embarrassed when I told him it was an old account and I had no idea he still very loudly said I can't let you workout until your balance is paid. when I asked to speak to a manager the guy then said well you can workout today but if you come back your balance will have to be paid. I have never been so embarrassed!!! I love planet fitness but this experience had made me look elsewhere. read more

Quite impressed with this Planet Fitness, and let's be honest I didn't have very high hopes for $15 a month. I tend to go in the early morning hours and the staff is always very friendly (even for 4:30am) the facility's are always spotless. The amenities at this location are great and I love the hydro massage! Limited free weights but more than enough equipment to get the job done. If you have any doubts... don't. read more

Love coming to this gym. I've been here at all hours, even the busiest and I never have trouble with it being too crowded. Everything is cleaned constantly. It's the cleanest gym I've ever been to. The employees are always nice and polite. The locker rooms are always in great condition. I think the black card membership is well worth it because the hydro massage, massage chairs feel great. Haven't been tanning but for those who like it will be hooked up well. I'm not a fan of the lunk alarm at these gyms but I can't blame this gym specifically because they all do it. There are machines for every workout as well as dumbbells up to 60 pounds. No actual bench press or squat racks but the assisted machines do the job. Have never left this gym with a bad experience! read more
