The aerobic machines are great and there are plenty of them, but if you're interested in strength training, forget it. You'll spend way more time standing around watching people (men and women) sitting on the machine and flipping through their phones in between sets. I've never seen the staff pay the slightest attention to this. The stretching area has filled up with apparatus, so it's difficult to find a place to stretch. I'd love to give this 1 star, but the aerobic equipment is decent. I'm editing this review to remove two of the three starts I awarded PF based on the response. It is the staff's responsibility to make sure that things are running smoothly and that people aren't waiting for someone to finish looking at their phone to get on a machine. This is a management/culture issue. read more

I had a positive workout this evening. A quick run at the circuit followed by a shower. The fitness center is clean and tidy. It's quite large with plenty of treadmills and ellipticals and all sorts of other torture devices. On a Thursday morning at 9am, it was quite empty and I not only didn't have to wait to access machines, I didn't even have anyone next to me. That's a plus. The shower was good. A decent spray of hot water and I was relaxed. The locker room was clean with no trash on the floor and a trash bin that wasn't overflowing. I am extremely disappointed and shocked by how my personal belongings were treated at your gym. I left my items--including headphones, shower products, and clothes--in a locked locker. When I returned, I was told the staff had opened the locker and thrown everything in the trash without notifying me or keeping the items in lost and found This is not only unacceptable, it's disrespectful, careless, and completely unprofessional. No member deserves to have their property treated like garbage, especially when it was clearly secured. Because of this shameful behavior, I canceled my membership and will never return. June 2023 UPDATE! First of all I reviewed hotels, gyms and restaurant on Google, since I am a pilot and travel all over the country. I know my PF gym comparisons pretty well. This Colliseum Ave Nashua Club has gone downhill substantially in the past year and a half! The staff has very high turnover as well as their facility is filthy. I recently spoke to the manager, who is also new, and she said that they cannot keep up with cleaning the machines due to the high turnover, and they certainly cannot keep up with keeping good health. As a result, the machines and locker rooms are filthy. I saw a pair of old underwear sitting in the locker room for over a week, and locker room looked like it had been swept in an entire month. Almost every time I go in there. The water fountain is always dirty with spit and hair every time I have recently gone there. In fact, there was a piece of hair that was in the sink of the water fountain....For two weeks, no one had ever wiped it down! There is dust and sweat all over the workout machines and treadmills. Now that Planet Fitness has opened up the past couple of summers for all high school students that can go for free, the gym is completely packed with most kids hanging out on machines just talking or playing on their phones! The staff said that there's nothing that they can do about keeping the place clean because they cannot keep up with it and are shortstaffed anyway. Really disappointing. I may consider changing gyms at this point since I pay for the black card membership which really does not make it worth it. October 2021 Clean faculty and nice people and staff. Also this is one of the clubs that are open 24 hours. Some are not. Also this club is close to my house! I am a pilot and travel all over the country to rate them on my Instagram and TikTok. So I had a membership and even recruited my son to go to the gym. I kept the membership even if I didnt go often to try to get in a workout in between school, work full time and two kids as well as maintaining a household. When they moved the gym with no notification of it, I was trying another one closer to me to gage whether it would be worth the drive or even a bike over to it because it was closer to me. When I walked in and checked in, I was instantly told I couldn't be there. No customer service of hey would you like to change your home gym here, no suggestion of trying to help me as a customer. When that happened, I instantly canceled. When a gym can treat you like that and have no remorse for it, I am gladly going to another gym that Im paying the same amount and giving them my business, plus have more to offer and I hope this gym gets more of planet fitnesses customers because I hate seeing a company not remember where they came from to treat people that way.​ read more

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for quite a few years on Coliseum Ave in Nashua NH. I just would like to throw my 2 cents in on the re arranging of the 30 minute workout machines. Me and the people I go with are extremely displeased with this. The machines are a welcome change, however where they were put is awful. We are a group of 6 all over 60. We loved working out in the 30 minute room. Now, we'd be lucky to get a machine without having to wait for someone to get off their phone. I was a member of the PF in Derry NH. I found the place to be dirty and in disrepair. When I showed an employee the situations that d]needed repair and/or cleaning, they said they would take care of it. When I let my membership lapse about one year later, nothing had been done. I prefer to pay yearly, up front as I am leery of giving my credit card information to people that do not do what they say they will do. The won't take one year of fees in advance so I will have to find another workout venue. read more

This is the place that has girls in the weightlifting place and they get to sit there for an hour or more on their cell phones while they don't work out. Or they take videos and pictures of themselves while they do butt exercises. Management does nothing. read more

I have been to the planet fitness on Coliseum Avenue in Nashua and I am so disappointed in the facility and the trainer. I have been asking several times to meet with the trainer and I have been getting the runaround. We have been texting back-and-forth and he seems to not have any time for me. I went in personally, made an appointment at the front desk to see him. I saw the gentleman put a sticky note on the trainers appointment calendar. I showed up for my appointment at 6:00 am and the trainer reported that he had somebody else at that time and did not see the sticky note. I proceeded to show him a photo of the sticky note that I took, and he just looked at me and said sorry. I will never go back there again and I will be putting a complaint in. read more

Update: we've now gone in 4 times. The membership is cancelled finally, however we were told by the manager that it's "unlikely" we'll get any of our money back because they have no record of us coming in to cancel. They apparently lost the multiple forms my husband filled out several times. The social team that respond to my initial review just asked questions and sent me to talk to the manager. It's just wrong. Initial review: "We had no issues while my husband was a member and liked the gym but just didn't use it frequently enough. We discontinued the membership and have been charged for 6 additional months. We've gone in and filled out paperwork to have the money refunded, and still were charged the following 2 months (one of them randomly being double the usual charge?). We now have to go in for a THIRD time to resolve this. It's ridiculous." read more

Planet fitness is ignoring me !! There was a malfunction on one of there tread mills back in early November and I feel off of it because the button to push up speed was stuck on the up direction and it wouldn't decrease it got up to 96 speed my normal speed was 41 I tried to put my legs on side rails but when doing that I feel. it pushed back into the fencing in back then forced me into my stomach landing really hard on my stomac. it made me vac arch my back which it bruised my vertebrae and it caused really sever bruising on my legs and arms !!! No staff came to see if I was ok just regular members ! When I went up to front desk all they did was take my phone number sand said manager will contact me after supposedly the staff member tect him well it turned out manager was never texted. Staff member new how to fill out an accident report either!! Come to find out the next morning after going to urgent care that they don't do those!! I demanded to talk to manager but at first they were sending me away but I said no I need to speak to him now!! He came out with a really bad attitude and I was really scared because of his demeanor! I explainEd indetail what happened the night before and he seemed upset with me he explained how it's my fault that the staff last night would be getting fired over this and it would be my failt at least that's how he came across. this manager had no emaphy over what happened to me!! He made me cry by yelling at me and raising his voice at me not very professional of him at all. The claims department is ignoring me something awefull it's been almost 5 months now and I haven't seen or heard from them but I keep emailing them but the whole organization is hoping by them ignoring me it all will be swept under the rug. There is an elderly community next door to this gym and if any elderly went on tnis malfun treadmill and this happened to then this probably could of been worse outcome !! Also that night it happened I made them put a out of order sign I did not want anyone else get hurt!! please be aware that exit 6 planet fitness in Nashua NH is not a good gym actually it is a Horrible gym! I've been going for a year 6 days a week 3 hours a day so I know all about the functions of all the cardio equipment!! they are doing nothing for me !! Great gym, especially for the price - at $10 a month for the classic membership, it's a great value. Good comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff. Sometimes the men's toilets could use a cleaning, no doubt due to staffing shortages. Other than that. a good place to work out. read more

The gym needs to be expanded. There's a whole empty building next door. The crowd meter is not accurate on the app. It's too busy at this location and not enough machines. Also the paper towel dispensers need to be kept on top of, they are always out of order. read more

I'll give it a CDB could do better. They have a clean gym, but equipment wise they are lacking in a few items . I would also argue that the folks there are very judgmental and hide behind a patina of "congeniality. In short I would argue there are better places to work out and reach your goals. read more

I went down to the Nashua gym a couple of days ago to sign up for a membership that was promoted for $22.99 a month. I was told that this rate wasn't an option for this gym. This rate was only for the corporate gym locations, and not the franchises. That was lousy as it had been promoted online and on tv for several days. My other concern from my visit was how I experienced COVID protocol at this gym. I read on line that Planet Fitness promotes safety and that all staff wear a mask. When I walked in, there were at least 6-7 staff standing behind the front desk, and around it. Everyone was talking and not one person had a mask on. One of the staff came to speak to me and I asked about becoming a member. He showed me a QR code on a poster and said I needed to sign up on line. I asked him about the mask policy and that I had read online that all the staff wore masks. He said he wasn't familiar with this and that they follow the rules per the Governor. He told me that masks are not required, unless someone isn't vaccinated. This wasn't for me at this time. read more

During the pandemic back on 3/20/20 I received an email stating my account would be frozen and would not charge me until I am not sure when because it never stated on the email. I just started going back to the gym and was advised I now owe $226 because they don't have my bank info....I don't understand how this could of happened when they were charging my bank account perfectly fine up until the pandemic. Also there is a severe lack of communication with this facility because during this entire time I have not once received a phone call or email(which they have on file) about my account. I was skeptical at first, but this is a really solid gym with good value. I sprung for the "black card" and the woman (?Katie?) who cuts my hair is great. The machines are clean and the gym is spacious. I'd like to see a bit more in terms of free-weights and cross-fit-like offerings, but that's just a minor issue. read more

Planet Fitness gets somewhat of a bad rap, being referred to as a gym for people who don't like to workout. They do have some unique policies (such as the "lunk alarm" which goes off if you drop the weights, a "no grunting" policy, and a size limit for your water bottles) that aim to discourage hardcore weight lifters. I can see how that is off putting, especially to hardcore weight lifters looking to make their captive audience uncomfortable with their strangely sexual noises as they lift weights that no human was ever intended to be able to lift. But honestly? For a normal person who is looking for a clean, well-maintained gym with a nice variety of cardio machines, free weights, and weight machines, as well as a 30 minute weight circuit, PF in Nashua is awesome. It's open 24 hours a day, you can manage your membership online, and membership is crazily cheap. Despite the fact that the parking lot (which it shares with Chunky's -- and you have to admit the juxtaposition between the names is awesome) is often crowded, the gym is rarely packed, even during the typically busy hours right before and right after the typical 9-5 workday. There are plenty of ellipticals and treadmills so that I've never had to wait -- in fact, I've never even had to use one directly next to another person! There are 20 tvs, each with a different channel (and a helpful channel guide on the wall), so that you can pick a machine next to whatever type of programming you like to watch. The locker rooms are nice, clean, and spacious. Just bring your own lock and you are good to go. There are also tanning booths, massage chairs and, strangely enough, a barber shop all in the gym. I gave it 4 stars, however, because the lunk alarm is really irritating. I mean, yes, it is annoying when people drop weights loudly, but two wrongs don't make a right. Planet Fitness, I miss you :( after joining Best Fitness and getting totally screwed over by them, I now see how amazing you really are! Customer service here is so nice, they really treat you with respect, and their contracts are simple and so easy to get out of if necessary. The only reason I left and joined Worst was because I like group exercise classes, but it was totally not worth it. Plus the fact that this particular location is open 24h is just so convenient. I don't get what Derek S. and R Z. are moaning about? What? You want a serious gym to work out at...then GO TO A SERIOUS GYM. PF purposefully markets themselves as a gym for beginners, and they don't want to deal with serious athlete's scaring off their elderly clients. What DO YOU WANT for $10 a month?! They give out pizza, bagels, and tootsie rolls...did you really think THIS is the place to train for the Olympics? I think they're just upset because they didn't come up with a brilliant business plan: charge people who don't like working out $10 a month for a gym. They'll hardly ever go, but they'll feel better about themselves, and won't care about paying $10 a month for the next 12 years. I've been at this location for about 2 years now, and my experience here has been pretty great. I'm pretty sure this particular location is supposed to be the corporate "flagship," because its the one they feature on the main website. I've never had a problem with a broken machine, all the staff have been friendly, its really CLEAN. Half the time I see the staff, they're cleaning something. My one complaint was that the shower curtains were getting a little bit orange from Nashua's hardwater. The next time I came in the shower curtains were all replaced. The gym members are generally older, and while not very pleasant on the eyes, are quiet and keep to themselves. Considering I probably cost this gym money, there's really nothing I can complain about. I get a 24 hour gym with all the equipment I need (need, not want), and I can just work out and everyone leaves me alone. I'd love to go to a more serious gym, but being in college is tough. read more

Just moved out here from California so I transferred my membership out here. The first time I went in to I quite about transferring my membership the lady at the desk was so awesome. She explained what needed to be done and how long it may take. The second time I went in there. I stood at the desk for at least 2 minutes no one acknowledged me (mind you three people were behind the desk. The front desk lady I spoke of previously, a trainer who was eating a wrap of some sort, and another guy who seemed to be busy). With that being said, some one should have said hello give me a second while I finish up and I will help you, I mean something. Once the guy with the sandwhich notices I'm just standing there, he stands up with his wrap in hand and asked if he could help me. I smiled and told what I was trying to do. He said ok name please. I meniotned I needed to change my name as well. He said ok. And then handed me my new club card and said here is your new card. And sat back down. No tour of the new facility. No do you have questions. No nothing. I guess being I'm customer service makes me particular about service but it's planet fitness. You can't hold them to that high of a standard I guess. read more

I've been a member for 2 years. The TV headsets never work, the channels constantly change or don't work at all when I do the elliptical. The staff always says it an on going problem and that others complain all the time. I tried to call corporate they put you on hold forever and they try to get you to email, then they never respond. It stinks- our family had 4 memberships, but we might all switch to another gym. Too bad they can't take care of this.... read more

Planet fitness lost a 150.00 dollar Bose headphone. Poor communication they said when two employees said they where in the draw. They reviewed video didn't see anything but yet they won't let me see it. Know they said there employees didn't see them at all so there people lied to me oh no no poor communication they never seen them. Pretty good place overall. I've only been in the morning and after work, but it was not packed for either time. If you're training to be Mr. Olympia, PF probably isn't for you. If you're just looking for an average workout in a nice atmosphere, join up. I gave it four stars because the guy working the desk was kind of rude. It's also bogus that they MAKE your guest write an email address, obviously you can put something fake, but you'd assume they'd rather have blanks than unmailable addresses. Not a fan of planet fitness coliseum avenue in Nashua, NH today. On October 27, 2018 I had a great workout then I went to the locker room and found my lock had been cut off. I went to the front desk and was told somebody had left their shampoo in the locker and that's why they cut the lock off. THE LOCKER WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY WHEN I PLACED MY BELONGINGS IN IT. I was there for a little over one hour. There was no note on my locker. My wallet was in my pants and it could very easily have been stolen along with my credit cards, drivers license and bank card . Crew members are rude....seems to be common trend in the other reviews on here. Had a poor experience at this location, staff threatened to call the police for no reason...also seems to be a trend in other Facebook comments....? I made a formal complaint to the Club Manager and CEO and all I've heard in reply is crickets. I WOULD NOT recommend this location. Luckily there are others available in Nashua and nearby. This one is run by high school kids with no management and minimal to training. The gym is in disrepair. There's always something broken in the locker rooms or on the workout areas.....another common trend in other comments. Seems poorly managed for being a "corporate/flagship" location. I've seen franchised locations in better shape. I wish I didn't have to write this review, if only management had replied to my complaint...and I didn't need social media to get their attention. I was a member of this location for a year and a half before Trevor had gotten hired as the new manager. He saw me doing my thing one day and I happened to have the only pair of footwear I owned at the time on. He proceeded to insult and harass me. In his mind as he put his point to me repeatedly over the course of ten minutes of his idiocy, "I haven't seen you around before so therefore you're new and I'm going to tell you I don't believe anything you're saying". What I had told him was- amiably- yes, I have been here longer than you have, I'm sorry if you disapprove of my wearing boots, I have flat feet and my doctors have me wearing this, no, I don't have the money to see a doctor to get paperwork to provide to you, and if you have a problem with me wearing them maybe you should have actually trained your desk workers better because none of them- who have been around and registered me long before you showed up- had a problem with my footgear. He insisted that I "must be new", "you don't know what I was talking about" and other blithe comments that told me he wasn't capable of listening and making intelligent civil discussion, so I quit membership at this location. Also, the bathroom was disgusting and the workout location dimly lit. Very narrow and cramped. This location sucks. read more

This is the cleanest gym I have ever belonged to ! Even before Covid, every time I went in to workout, someone was always cleaning something there. I recently moved and canceled my membership to go to a gym that was closer to my new house. I didn't ever feel it was very clean and the clients weren't wiping down after using the equipment like I was used at PF. Needless to say, I'm switching back to PF. It's a little more of a drive to get there but I feel better about working out there especially during the pandemic. read more
