I asked in person at the desk, and was billed the following month. I sent emails cancelling my membership, and was still auto billed. I called at various times and no one answers the phone. I left my name & number to be contacted, no response. I sent an on-line message to their corporate HQ "Contact Us" link and have never gotten a response. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB. I'm still waiting to hear from someone...
