Im a og black card member...The staff is great! Very friendly and seen to keep busy. Machines all work well. One thing I think need attention though are the tanning beds..They are really bad..alot of dust a debris..all in the fans..its pretty nasty..they need a deep cleaning. Or a upgrade. I would think they are almost a health code violation aka fire hazard. Im not trying to be negative but they really do need to be cleaned. I will give it time for them to be cleaned before I post some pics. Maybe upgrade to the red light booths? But for now sanitary must be a priority. Thanks so much..Keep Smiling!! read more

I like this PF a lot....easy to get to and park, airy and spacious (people say it's small but I find other PF's much more cramped with machines stuffed in... this one has huge windows that make it light, all the others are like dark basements). It has more machine variety than many others I have been to - including at least one machine that was new to me and that I love using. Rarely crowded, and friendly staff. Most likely if you've been to a Planet Fitness you will know what to expect. However, I have found minor differences in the few I've seen that can make a difference. I can happily report that the Oneida franchise is a great spot to get your workout in. The Oneida location is a lot smaller than many other Planet Fitness gyms, but the workout area is extremely well maintained and clean. The staff has been friendly and helpful each time I've been here. The locker room could use some sprucing up - the bathrooms aren't in super great shape and the lockers are a little worse for wear. In terms of foot traffic, the after work crowd is heavier as expected but I haven't had to wait for a machine to free up. Weekends are lightly used when I've been and you can feel comfortable making your rounds through the aerobic and weight lifting machines, This Planet Fitness has several tanning rooms if you're into that and has a small room with the massaging chairs. Overall, while they have little to no competition in Oneida that I'm aware of, I'm happy that Planet Fitness puts their best foot forward here and provides a good place to exercise. read more

I've been going to the Oneida gym for about 7 months now. I find it to be very satisfactory for the amount of machines available. I've never really seen people just hanging and waiting to use any. Weights are very sufficient as well. I've been working with their trainer the entire time I've been coming and find him to be VERY professional, and VERY knowledgeable. One of his huge focuses is on proper form and I'm elated as I find that to be extremely important..obviously. He also is not one who makes you feel that you're not doing enough, he is aware of your abilities, and will work you up in difficulty in your program as he sees fit. Very personable guy, my joy in going to this gym has a lot to do with this young man!!! He is a HUGE asset to this gym. I have worked out in other places with other trainers and I find him to be as knowledgeable and effective as any I've worked with. The gym has completed an overhaul of sorts, looks great. I have never really seen any observation of the desk staff, etc that is of a negative nature. They are very pleasant when you come in, and leave. Negative comments are usually of a subjective nature..so if someone writes a bad review based on a single situation, it needs to be taken in stride, as perhaps that person was just having a bad day. However, if it was a situation that was repetitive, than that is something to be brought to the attention of the gym manager. All in all, I find my experience at this gym to be positive and my results with the trainer are bearing fruit! Keep up the good work guys! read more

This gym is worth investing in, if you live in the area. The staff there is very informed, friendly, and helpful, especially Kate. The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. The front desk is hospitable and quick when it comes to checking in members and their guests. They also have cold drinks to purchase along with merchandise right at the counter. The machinery is kept clean, as members are held accountable in cleaning a machine after using it. I also see staff members consistently go out of their way to keep the place looking nice and sanitized. There is a good selection of workout equipment, complete with televisions you can watch by hooking up your headphones to the gear. I've never had to wait to use any of the machines, despite the rush of people coming in after the workday has ended. The cleanup stations are very accessible and there are a good number of them around the gym. They also have fountains to refill your bottles at. My only minor criticisms would be, firstly, the smell of the locker rooms and secondly, the hydromassage machines. The locker rooms could use a bit more air freshening, but are kept very clean. The hydromassage machines are a bit hard to work and state that you need an access code to use them. This can be bypassed by using the manual on/off button on the wall, but you have a three minute waiting period while the machine powers on. This makes it a little difficult to fit in a post workout massage if you're on a tight schedule. Overall, I love this Planet Fitness location and would definitely recommend it. read more
