I came here because this is the only one in the entire area that has any trainers. So I was able to work with a trainer who helped me design a program and I was very pleased with that! I wish I could find trainers at the other locations closer to my home or work but unfortunately this is it. Overall the location was good. Plenty of parking and plenty of machines inside. It was just very busy right after work on a weekday afternoon. But other than that, it was okay. Locker rooms were a bit small. This is not my favorite but I will be here a lot so I hope to update things again in the future. read more

A great location, they always have clean machines and sprays and paper towels available. They sometimes move the machines around which is interesting. I would say my only complaint is that the staff most of the time looks bored to be there. Completely understand that it's a job and sometimes it's slow but there are times where they barely acknowledge when you come in. read more

Planet fitness compliments I work for a major airline, travel often, used hundreds of hotel gyms, lives many places and joined many gym chains. When I moved to Dallas Fort Worth I joined the planet fitness in Fort Worth and had such a good experience with the cleanliness when I moved back to Phoenix AZ I rejoined planet fitness Laveen location. In past chains (LAFitness etc) I have seen machines broken for weeks. This location Laveen location is always kept cleaning. People are always cleaning, refilling bottles, bathrooms smell good, staff is friendly and machines are always fixed in a timely manner. Planet fitness may be known as a discount chain but they take care of their clubs. Please recognize the Laveen planet fitness employees for keeping this gym looking great. read more

I would like to submit a complaint on the Planet Fitness the location in Laverne, AZ. I went in this morning at 9:30 am and there was dust piles where the steps were moved around in the 30 minutes work out station, no paper towels, the clean area supply area was dirty and the woman restroom was disgusting the shower stalls had white residue all on the wall and floors. read more

I enjoy this location. It's always clean and I've never had any issues. I prefer to go in the morning but it can get a little busy since a lot of others are trying to get their workout in before heading to work. I suggest going between 5-630am if you're going to do a morning workout. Of course it's very busy in the afternoon/evenings so I'd avoid going between 4-8pm if you want a chance to use the equipment. Masks are optional still so it's up to you if you want to workout with or without a mask. read more

Overall a great location! I've checked out similar gyms in the area including LA Fitness but this gym has more availability in terms of free machines if your schedule is a bit more flexible and you are able to go during off-times. Recently there's been ab upticks in gym members, however, I hope that the gym decides to purchase more weightlifting machines or free weights in the future. read more

Super disappointed. My husband and I just moved to Laveen and we were looking for a gym to join. Did some research online and found these free day passes including a tour at this Planet Fitness. Walked in and the young girl behind the desk tells us they are no longer doing the day passes and tours "due to COVID." Really? What does COVID have to do with a day pass and tour? Not to mention, why are you still offering them on the website, and sending me emails to get one? This is not good business practice. You just lost at least 2 members Planet Fitness. read more

This location is pretty nice. Upgrades were made recently and the new machines were a good addition . The abs and stretching area is now filled with machines and free weights, though, so there's really no comfortable place to lay out a mat and not be in everyone's way. read more

I had 1 account and was not able to cancel it over the internet, I needed to update my baking info so I just requested a new card thinking that this would stop the charges. A few months later I created a new account.. and over this past week I was charged ($40 annual fee, $10 service fee, and $20 membership fee) so basically I got blindsided by $140.00 in fees over this last week. Right after bills were do... wish I could just cancel over the damn internet but I'm sure PF does everything in their power to avoid making cancellations easy. Luckily you can call a location and request a cancellation . Something that I have not been told by any employees or Reps. Love the place but it's very inconvenient and unprofessional the way they have structured their cancellation process. First time here and the first time in many years since i have been to a gym . Place was clean and equipment seems to be in good working order . Only reason i give 2 stars is the staff that was working after 9pm . I requested help on how to use some of the equipment and any suggestions on working on some of my problem areas . I've been a member at this gym for a while. The only issue I have is when the gym open the doors up to the kids summer program. There is absolutely no monitoring by the staff. The kids are not using the equipment safely, there is no wiping equipment down after use, there are groups that gather at an equipment at one time. I just joined about a month ago and so far so good. I've got no complaints. Staff at the front desk has always been friendly and helpful. The restrooms are always clean.They have cleaning products throughout the gym that make it easy to wipe down the machine after you're done using it. I do really like the hydromassage beds. They feel amazing after a workout. I come to the gym 5 days a week and I like that its 24hrs making it convenient for people with different schedules. If you live in the area and your thinking about a gym to go to, definitely check them out. read more

Horrible customer service. I can understand if it was packed, but during the early morning weekend hours there was hardly anyone waiting to be checked in. So why did it take so long to at least get any sort of acknowledgment? An "I'll be right with you" isn't too much to ask for. No smiles, no nod - nothing. Was I an inconvenience? Lol And Alexis was very rude when I asked him a question. If you dislike your job so much, get a new one. Finally, the rep who signed me up failed to explain everything to me...so frustrating. She was nice so I'll just chalk that up to being new. I thought I was getting a good deal at a new gym but I regret making the switch. You really do get what you pay for. Just what this area needed. It's funny reading these posts how horrible customer service is and how long it took to get checked in. If your worried about customer service get your own gym at home. If there is nobody there to check me in I just walk by and at the end of my workout I check in. People want a red carpet laid out for them everywhere they go. I go to the gym just about every day, and at different times. The evenings are a bit busy but as long as you are flexible with your exercises you will have no problem getting a good workout. Mornings are the best if you can make it. It's like a playhouse to me, I run from one machine to another like a fat kid in a candy store. The only issue I do have is people on their damn cellphones. If your listening to music great, but if you go to the gym and spend 25 out of 30 minutes on your stupid phone, do me a favor and stop wasting my time and your time. STOP IT! Overall I'm basing my review on the gym, not the people I happen to encounter. It's ok for some people to have bad days also, so stop using yelp to vent your one bad experience. read more

Employees pick and choose who they admonish. Just like many others on here, I had an employee tell me, even though I was one of only two in the circuit area, that I wasn't doing it correctly. There was NO ONE waiting and he was cleaning the items steps, so I was giving him his space. He did however leave the young woman who just sat at the same machine for three cycles completely alone. When it's busy, I ALWAYS give people the chance to rotate in, but when there is no one else there, that seems like an incredibly strange rule, especially given the fact that the other person in the room was not also told she needed to move. I am a first time gym member (aside from the Y years ago), you can't beat the price and for $20 to be able to use any PF, even better! I am glad to see them move into the area for our much needed amenities. I appreciate staff being at an arms distance for questions and guidance. I like the "wipe down after you use rule" and I hope everyone does their part in that. It is us the members who will help keep the equipment looking and working like new. I am looking forward to meeting my workout goals and glad you are finally open! I do want to ask if there are plans for more massage chairs? I live in Laveen and was excited for this location to open to be very disappointed. So concerned with new members, you all have forgotten to service old members. My example, several times I've waited more than 5 minutes to get my card swiped for entrance to the club. Inexcusable........Designate a person to check members in and others for new members. I am so disappointed with this planet fitness. I've been going there for a year and always worked out in the 30 minute circuit room and never once has an employee stopped me to tell me I'm doing my workout wrong until today!!! I had a very rude worker approach me and say "I've been past this room two times and I haven't seen you do your workout properly. If you aren't going to follow the rules you can workout on the floor but not here. This room is for people that will follow the rules" and then he stood there watching me so I finally got up and said I'm leaving and he followed me all the way to front to make sure I was really leaving. The people at the front desk are usually friendly. If you have had a hard workout and you want to warm shower good luck to you because there's maybe three minutes of hot water in the showers in the showerheads spray all over so one it takes longer to get a shower in and you don't get a lot of water and it's not hot so if you're enjoy if you work out in the morning before work and you try to get a shower before work good luck that's not gonna work out in less you like really cold showers where are you freezing your buns off. Recently men have been working in the women's locker room for almost half an hour so if you like working out in the morning before work you should find another place work out! read more

Planet fitness in Nashua NH on colosseum just ripped me off. I called to freeze my account in October due to COVID, an auto immune disease and the fact that I haven't been to the gym since Feb but was still paying for it. They said they would freeze my account but didn't- I was charged a new yearly fee and 3 months of monthly fees. When I called to rectify the situation I was given the runaround by "Chris" who claimed first that his boss was not in that day, then changed the story to his boss was in a meeting. Then he refused to take a message, and told me he didn't know when his boss would be back but to call back sometime after 4 pm ( probably when his shift ended). I am disgusted that this branch would take advantage of a medically fragile person during a global pandemic. Shame on you. read more

The employees will discourage you from pushing your self and giving it your hardest when working out, they will tell you to be quiet or not to be too loud. Definitely not a gym for those that are trying to push your body to its limits. This is supposed to be a gym not a library!!!! read more

I been working out with the trainer Luis for almost 3 months and I've noticed significant improvement in my strength

Today I had a girl behind the counter go out of her way to help me. It had nothing to do with planet fitness or working out. My battery out of my alarm remote went dead when I was walking to my truck. So I walked back to the planet fitness counter an asked the young lady if they had a triple A battery that I could use for a minute. She looked around her counter, checked back room an found no battery. Finally she checked her remote mouse in the front area an it had a triple A battery. AWESOME I put the battery in my remote and unlocked my truck. Took battery out of remote and handed it back to her an thanked her. I was such in a hurry I forgot to get her name. It was around 11:40am 10/17/18. With the high turn over people that work at planet fitness that I noticed. She's been their for a little longer. So I guess planet fitness knows her worth. I've been in customer service all my life. I always try an help people above an beyond. It's nice to see others that do the same. read more

First actual impression. Was walking in parking lot and a guy in a big truck literally doesn't want to stop to let me walk by and just keeps rolling nearly hitting me and my daughter. Low-and behold it's one of the guys at the front desk he walks in looking pissed off chest all puffed out visible anger on his face huffing and puffing at the front desk. We realize who it was. Front desk girl was amazing can't remember her name super nice great tour so we signed up. Upon leaving keep in mind after I have already signed up for a black card membership. I asked to be shown how to use the computer to sign up for the massage area and the other amenities in that room. The guy at the front desk for the afternoon shift then tells me well you need to be a black card member to use that and your daughter is too young to use any of the other equipment in there because they require goggles. My daughter is 17 years old. Rather than argue with the guy on my first day and experience at the gym we just chose to walk away. Instead of him asking me if I was a black card member he just assumed I wasn't. I know one thing, that front desk better get it together cuz I'm not opposed to paying out $58 to cancel that membership quick fast in a hurry. Customer service goes a long way. read more
