I've found multiple roaches near the stretching pads and was told they sprayed for pesticides. Not sure if that was inside but what are the lovely health benefits of rolling around in pesticides, dust bunnies and sweat! The problem might be the front desk staff trying to hit on people just trying to workout while one 60+ year old janitor is on shift busting their back (all the respect in the world for these ladies btw). The sauna is not very clean with sweaty paper towels stuffed in the corners. The bathroom drain is always backed up and a plumbing company is there almost monthly to snake them. Second issue, staff. Machines are constantly broken and take months to repair. Not all but a few workers will get a nice little lift in while clocked in, leaving weights behind and front desk unattended letting the floodgates of high schoolers in for social hour. I'm willing to guess a majority of them don't have memberships. Third, the environment. The shift from going to the gym for a workout has shifted to chasing tail and creepy games of eye tag with grown men hunting girls down, like a lion on the Serengeti. What goes from a simple hello turns into a 30 min conversation blocking the only machine that this place has. I've tried showing up at a different times to avoid all of these issues and seem to get faced by all them at once every time. I just want to end this with, I've never written a review before but just seeing LA Fitness falling apart is not a pretty sight. Closing nicer facilities around the valley that offered better amenities such as steam rooms, towels, a clean pool and spa has not been a smart move. Keep up the outstanding work fellas!!!

Lots of options for every type of workout. The price is the best i could find for any gym in this part of town and you get quite a bit of bang for that buck. Multiple rows of cardio machines, tons of free weights, and every machine you could want. Love the theater. Special shout out to the front desk crew (especially Avounay) - they make dragging myself to the gym in the morning tolerable and never miss a friendly hi/bye.

While they were at the front desk, I was on the phone with the employee assisting them, Gideon. Instead of clearly explaining policies, he questioned a legal guardianship situation and actually asked me, "Aren't you the parent?" and challenged how an 18-year-old could be a legal guardian. That is completely out of line. There are many legitimate situations where a guardian is not a parent including serious circumstances like terminal illness. It is not a front desk employee's place to question or challenge that over the phone or at all. Rather than providing clear guidance, Gideon gave inconsistent and confusing information about minor memberships and guest policies. The situation was then steered into requiring two separate memberships one for the 18-year-old and one for the 15-year-old which was not clearly explained upfront. This felt like unnecessary upselling driven by confusion rather than transparency. What should have been a straightforward signup became stressful and uncomfortable for both of my kids. Instead of escalating to a manager or handling it professionally, the situation was made worse. I would not recommend this location. If your situation is anything outside of a basic setup, expect confusion, pressure to purchase more than necessary, and a lack of professionalism.

It is built better than any of the other clubs! It's fairly new but it's built better than the newest locations. Everyone from the general manager to the front desk guys and girls are so friendly and helpful! I was looking for the nearest pool and they took the time out of their day to find the closest pool and hours! I think every club needs to have a good set of personal trainers! I was able to work briefly with Shad! He didn't have a client at the time and he was able to show me a few shoulder workouts! That is what you call love for the job because most trainers would have been focused on booking you but he just wanted to help me get my shoulder workout done right! One morning I was taking my 2-year-old to the Kid Zone when he urgently needed to use the restroom. We were clearly in a rush, but the front desk employee stopped me and insisted I scan a QR code before letting us pass. The interaction felt unnecessarily strict and passive-aggressive. If I didn't have a membership, I wouldn't even be able to use the Kid Zone, so the situation could have been handled with a little more understanding given that I was trying to help my child get to the restroom. What made the experience worse was the tone. It felt like a scene was made in front of my child over something that could have been handled calmly and quickly. For a gym that charges close to $50 a month, I would expect a higher level of customer service and basic courtesy. I spoke with someone at the register afterward and was told the manager would be informed, but it has been over two weeks and I haven't received any follow-up or apology. Between that experience and the already high membership price (especially considering the sauna often smells unpleasant), I decided to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed and will be going to a different gym moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on my experience.

This one is not well managed. My daughter was given bad instructions for closing her account, and…read morethought she closed it late last year. At the same time, she moved her bank account. What she didn't realize is that their policy is to charge a $20 fee for every month they have to charge you backup credit card. That's a $20 penalty on a membership that costs $25 a month (almost 100% penalty). And they don't notify you they are doing it. Not one email. We just discovered it after getting hit with bogus gym fees and the ridiculous penalty for six months. We talked to a manager. Not only would they not credit back any of the penalty fees, they wouldn't even credit back the month fee and penalty they charged YESTERDAY for the coming month. Despite the fact she'd not even set foot in the gym for more than six months. We even contacted corporate, which said it's an independently owned and managed gym and they couldn't do anything about it. Despite their brand being tarnished. They'll be losing two more memberships when my wife and I cancel our memberships and move to a gym with less onerous policies and better management who care about loyalty and fairness. (And hey Planet Fitness Corporate, we won't be moving to a different franchisee of Planet Fitness....we are done with ALL Planet Fitnesses because of this one franchise's poor business ethics and policies.)
