Trying to figure out a routine, so it will be different every day until I do so... So far I am happy, I just really need that extra motivation to work out/exercise. And now that I am paying, I know I will get some use out of it. Atmosphere - Largest facility of the 4 PF here in Reno/Sparks. Looking forward to your Carson City location opening, see my one picture. Overall a clean facility. At times I can see team members walking around, cleaning, wiping down equipment, refilling sanitation stations, etc. Open 24 hours. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Stormy and the team have been positive and supportive. As a new customer, it has been a very good start. I am like a kid trying out all the new equipment to see what will be the best fit for me. Price - Depends on your plan. $15 a month for basic, $25 for the Black Card. Kinda schizo on this review--- First what the club and staff get right---ample parking; ground-level entry for handicapped. A CLEAN club; staff is attentive to the bathrooms and the workout areas. Check-in always goes smoothly. Equipment is kept in good working order, free-weights galore! What is lacking or needs improvement---despite signage members consistently park it on equipment and act like it's a cell-phone studio. There is an express area designed to get you though a workout in 30 minutes! Yay! Except there are workout buddies in tandem tying up equipment to do their reps. TV's? Plenty of them, but none are close captioned to let treadmill/cycle users enjoy what's on (no sound via Bluetooth or WiFi) All-in-all a great gym for a quick workout Especially at $15/month. This PF is brand spankin' new and it rocks. The lights in the tanning beds and red light therapy are always in tip top shape. I've noticed at other PFs the bulbs are dim. They have a hip thrust machine that other PFs don't have. This space feels huge and it feels like there are a ton of machines but also open areas for free weights. I like the automatic door when you walk in since usually my hands are full with water, energy drink, phone, etc. I'm super pleased with this facility and try to come to this PF 1-2x a week. read more

I love this location! I figured after just moving to the area I'd try this location and finally commit to getting in better shape. What makes this location stand out besides it's amazing staff is an employee named Hannah. I haven't actively touched gym equipment since I participated in athletics early in life up to my 30's. She was absolutely amazing in her help and patience showing me the new machines (to me anyways) and getting over a phobia of interacting with people and machines. It is impossible to terminate your contract. I sent a letter of termination almost a year ago and I am still getting payments deducted from my bank account. Their customer service is non existent. I freaking hate these people and want them all to get on a bus and drive it off a cliff. Anybody giving this company a 5 star rating never had to move to a place where there isn't a location. OK. The morning staff is great. The evening staff, terrible. Mostly the guys. Mens bathroom area Showers have no hot water for over a week now, AGAIN. This place takes forever to fix anything. Maybe even longer since we were out of town for a few weeks. There's mold inside the stained glass. They do clean them, but all they do mostly is shake Comet everywhere, and I mean everywhere, and rinse it off. I have seen times where they scrubbed them but never inside the glass bottoms. The club is well kept up for the most part, but that is due to the daytime staff. Not sure what the night staff is there for. Parking is now terrible due to the new Starbucks taking up all the old open extra area lot. It has outgrown that spot. They should have grabbed the old Longley Fitness Connection spot during Covid, or open another gym in one of the many brand new industrial parks in South Reno by the mall. They've got a great and numerous selection of anything you need to get in shape but could use more freeweigts, but not bad. . Machine wait times are pretty minimal even during peak times. read more

Mens Room with no soap or Paper to dry your hands and the counter is disgustingly always dirty. ever since they lost their cleaning person to go another fitness club this place is going downhill. I belonged to Planet Fitness in Connecticut back in 2008-2012. When I moved to Reno I joined Fitness Connection for 5 years then I was a member at SRAC and Flex Appeal for a good 5 years. Recently I've belonged to NO gym other than the one in the basement where I work. Since I'm going to Hawaii this month, I wanted to get a base tan and knew they had tanning beds available for the Black card members. Yesterday was my first time checking out the Reno PF and I was happy. I think I could get used to this gym. Pros: tanning beds, open 24 hours, Arc Trainer cardio machine, and bright open space. Cons: no sweat towels provided, no sauna, and terrible parking lot. We'll see how it goes. read more

I have been going to this gym for a year and a half now. I used to love it!!!! It has always been clean, fully staffed at all times, and all equipment in working order. In the last four months, everything has gone downhill. Equipment has not been fixed or maintained, constant empty cleaning bottles, or lack of paper towels, missing staff, floors, counters mirrors toilets are all filthy. Two days ago there was a hose coming out of the men's bathroom, which was a complete tripping hazard and a bucket filled with filthy cleaning solution sitting out in the walking path. I don't know what is going on but management needs to figure this stuff out. I pay for a black card membership and most mornings I'm unable to use my perks because there's no staff around. I will be calling corporate and filing a complaint because enough is enough. read more

One of my favorite gyms in the area. Have belonged to quite a few over the years, but this one meets all of my wants and needs. Have had a few injuries and surgeries over the past few years and needed a place to help rehabilitate without having a bunch of muscle heads looking down at me. I am very well versed in proper technique of weight lifting, but I had to start low in weights to help get back in shape. The equipment is well taken care of, there is more than enough space between machines to allow full motion, and there is lots of variety of equipment available. It is large enough to handle a lot of people without feeling crowded. My only beef is that there is a room where you are 'supposed' to work in a circuit, but people come in, plop themselves on one piece of equipment and hog it for half an hour. I've complained but nothing came out of it. It's a small complaint, but the overall experience makes me keep coming back. Oh, and the monthly fees are really reasonable. read more

This gym is very clean and spacious. The equipment is new and works well. There are multiple copues of the same equipment, so there's no wait. Bathroom and showers are immaculate + ADA accessible. For a 24/7 gym you get a great value, plus tanning, red light therapy, hydrabeds, massage chairs ... I o ly wish ir was more staffed so one could get help with the equipment. I've been weight lifting for close to 45 years. This gym was right up there with the Best known Bodybuilding gyms around. This Planet Fitness location was extremely clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was the best gym experience I've had I thought about relocating to Reno from California. This Planet Fitness location was fully stocked with equipment that it didn't feel overcrowded. The equipment felt very well maintained. Thanks again for the opportunity to train here. read more

Of all the PF sites, this is my favourite. The staff during the day are awesome. Evenings (after 7 pm) are hit or miss. I go 3-5 days a week and always get a good workout. Clientele are great. Some of the male staff here have become far too flirty with the female members and that includes high school girls. Their open hostility towards men at times is painfully obvious and confusing as well. If the members are required to follow ethical standards, and rightfully so, I would expect the management and employees to already be practicing this. Avoid this location until they at least replace the manager sam and trevor with decent people who have professional ethics and respect for others. read more

Clean and easy to get to for me. Love the welcoming atmosphere. There is not much around here and other places seem to charge a lot and this gym fits the bill for me. Been going here since opening day when time was limited during COVID times. Happy this location is 24hrs and the new staff seem friendly. Hope they allow guest to try out the massage chairs as a way to get people to join. I tried that once to let my friend go in my place of me and the older staff was strict about it. Well I know why... it's because the staff are like always cleaning. When this place continues to be successful... it's because of the core team of staff they have. My name is Daniel I went into this planet fitness to cancel my membership because I had rotor cup surgery and I'm not gonna be able to do anything for six months. Sam, the manager convinced me to freeze in the account and that's not what I want it I want it canceled. He tells me that the account will be frozen and they'll be no charges. Well that was a lie. I got charged today for the black membership. I went back there and he told me. Place has the good exercise equipment like most planet fitness. Not very clean. I find they wipe on occasion but if there's dirt and layers of dust in between the gear, how clean are they? I do not like the contrary message management sends either. Telling masks are optional! Really? But yet they wear them. How can the planet fitness website says they care about our health when they opt out. Funny huh?!?! Spent a year without planet fitness because of the pandemic. I guess they want your money more than you being healthy. There's other PF out there so we will find a cleaner, healthier place. read more

So disappointed. My son passed away February 18th 2020. I had already enrolled in this gym waiting for it to open. They opened February 29th 2020 the day of my sons funeral. Then shut down for COVID. I have visited the gym one total time since enrolling, and then I asked to cancel. They have continued billing me. I cancelled online, then they took away that option. I've emailed, and been told I have to drive to the home club. I have one child left and the last thing I want to do is drag him to a gym to cancel. The gym itself isn't great. They don't have heavy weights, the staff didn't know what a squat rack was when I asked. In fact the girl at the desk said, "um is that like, a leg thing." They talk about being judgement free but have a whole section dedicated to making fun of people who seriously work out. I'm a fit person, nothing special or above average but every single thing in their No Lunk (or whatever lame thing it is) zone area applied to me. It was an awful set up, things didn't flow, the whole thing was a nightmare. This gym is a waste of time. I'm a personal trainer who has work at many gyms but also spent a good 15 months losing 80 pounds at a gym and I've never felt more uncomfortable than I did at this gym. read more

I went in 3 times to cancel my membership before the auto renewal date and none of the employees were helpful. They double spoke answering my request and told me frankly I would be charged regardless. They never offered a solution nor gave me a date to cancel by that was correct. The gym requires your debit card and holds you hostage. Yesterday Sam (the manager), asked me the last time I had requested canceling and AFTER I gave him a date of a week prior to auto charge of $39, he said that they needed "More than a weeks notice." I had been in twice before that date! His answer was bluntly arbitrary! Never was I shown what is stated in a contract. The membership is now FINALLY cancelled having asked for a printed statement. read more
