Very good gym has everything you need but there was nothing to wipe down the machines with. I came in at 4:30pm on Sunday I saw the only person working there leave before I walked in that's not a problem but having absolutely nothing to wipe down the machines is just lazy every single disposable sanitation wipes was empty. If there is nothing to clean the machines the chances of getting a staph infection increase significantly. Please have either towels for the spay bottles or restock the sanitation wipes before leaving. read more

This used to be my favorite location. I'm scared to workout there now. As soon as you walk in you can smell the mold or whatever else that is. I can't bring myself to workout there because all I think is I'm breathing in mold. More power to you if you can workout there. People could get sick and sue. read more

There haven't been any recent reviews of this gym location, cause some of the pics show an exercise room in addition to the main floor with all the machines. I wanted to see if there were any spin bikes, and I walked all around and saw no room for them. The floor space, though clean, is pretty small compared to al the other Anytime locations I've been to. I'm just visiting Reno on business and wanted a quick workout. Seems most cities I visit have an Anytime Fitness location. The bad thing besides the size of the location is there's a shortage of bathrooms, at least all I saw. There no unisex bathrooms and showers like other locations. It just has ONE women's bathroom and 2 men's. For the amount of people in this place I had to wait just to get in. Other locations have 4-5 restrooms with showers. The machines were placed pretty close, so doing cardio, you pretty much are right next close to another sweaty person huffing and puffing. I managed a work out, but I may have just been better off using the little gym at the hotel. Reno has several Anytime locations, so next time, I'll try one of those. read more

Update later same day after a phone convo with management: Okay I do agree getting some people to properly mask up is an uphill battle. I've had another conversation with management and feel they are trying. Just reserved my right to call out anyone within 6' of me if they are not properly wearing a mask. Because of that conversation I'm upping to 3 stars from 1. Once this pandemic is over and I am not worried about the idiots I will try and up this yet again. Original Review: "Patrons must wear a mask at all times, unless actively drinking. If the activity is too strenuous to be done while wearing a mask properly, people must seek an alternative." Welllllllll I tried. Management of this place is probably just fine outside of a pandemic but they give 0 about doing what is right. I got tired of lack of signage about wearing masks so I starting asking people working out by me to please mask up/fix their mask. One dude has a temper tantrum and I they said they are trying and to tell them vs confronting directly. So today I'm like alright 3 boneheads can't seem to figure out how to wear it right so I tell management and get the "oh I'll do it later" brush off. The food place next door has better signage. We are finally getting our capacities back up and wearing a mask is the right thing to enforce. Why can't the management do so? I felt bad at first but now I am starting think it's just negligence. read more

The problem here is the "inspirational music" It is not possible to override it...believe me I tried. I even went so far as to by some expensive noise cancelling Bose headphones but even they were not up to the job. I wrote to the franchise owner and he tells me that his hands arer tied...it is a corporate decision-can`t turn it down. I go during off hours-9-10 pm.There are usually 3 or 4 of us. We all have earbuds and have our own soundtrack. Callme a grouch but this is a deal killer for me. read more

Great place to work out. I like it because there is usually not a lot of people at this location so no waiting for weights or equipment. Also it's 24 hours! Can't beat that. You must have your fob to get in. They have business hours. So if you want to check this place out that would be the time to do it. They have great customer service. The parking is easy and there plenty of it. They offer free wifi and runs pretty well when I connect to the wifi. This place is kept clean by the staff. They are engaging and will talk to you if you have questions. Would like to see more of my friend come here so I could have a gym partner but good luck with that. Most of my friends are couch potatoes haha jk. I looked around at the other anytime fitness for their rating and this place is different because of their staff. I think that's what sets them apart. I like that they are a small gym. This usually turns people away from this place but I'm all about getting results in my work outs. Just need the right equipment. This place is perfect for me and what I need. They do offer boot camp for people at this location. So if your into working out with a group and getting worked join the fun. I just saw pictures of their boot camp class and thought to myself what awesome pain those people are in. Yeah, I'm sadistic like that. But it's all in good fun. These kinds of classes are meant to offer the participant support for when they are truly serious about getting results. Wanted to stop by after work and discuss joining/amenities/offers/etc. no staff -States staffed until 6pm. Gave myself a little tour since no one was around and still no staff member. Left after 10-15 mins of waiting. Little disheartening that anyone can just open the guest door and walk the entire gym considering there's no employees on site given the specified times on their website. I'm a daily member of Anytime and have been for over 5 years. I mainly use the north valleys or red rock location but I come to this one every once in a while. Equipment Is in good shape and it's usually pretty clean. Only thing I'd have to say negative Is the bathrooms were always out of paper towels. Also the music selection they allow on rockbot isn't very broad. read more

Recently went through there free trail week and the gym is very small. This gym would be good if your retired and don't lift weighs the free weight options are horrible and if you do decide to workout here bring headphones you can hear everyone breath its so cramped. The weirdest thing about this gym is how they don't put up there rates like fitness connection and fitness for 10. You really don't know how much this gym costs and honestly I still don't. Places like this you really need to stay away from because they change there monthly fees based on the person not a flat rate or at least that is what it seems. When I wasn't interested in joining the guy that owns this place was a real dick about things. I was like "sorry things just didn't work out here" he was like "whatever". read more

Well maintained, clean equipment. Friendly young staff. Water has a good filtration system. I know may not seem important to some. But I like my water clean tasting. Lol. All in all a good gym. And as long as they got the rowing machine here. And people that clean up after themselves. I'll be coming back. Kind of wish the had a heavy bag here instead of a water filled cardio kickboxing bag. And that their sound system was a little more loud. Like the anytime fitness in redrock. I recommend this gym. A little pricier than most gyms you'll find around town. We have been members of the franchise for over four years. We moved to the Longley lane shop, southwest corner of Longley and mccarran due to the equipment and great atmosphere. Good members, courteous and knowledgeable staff, and, perfect location. There may be other shops in the area but none with all the factors of this Anytime Fitness. Weights: many and varied, kettle, free and machine. I have a bad knee and some rehab needs free weights and some machines. I have the options to adapt my training as needed. I've been putting off writing this review for awhile now, well close to a year and half. This gym has been one of the best kept secrets in Reno and I'm sometimes selfish so I wanted it kept that way. :) This Anytime Fitness facility is excellent! It's kept clean and they have a great selection of weights, machines and classes on the fitness on request. It's usually not too crowded although it can get that way during the first few months of the year, especially between 5 - 6:30 PM. The owner has great attention to detail and he's very personable. My wife and I go to this gym when we want to work out and are on that side of town. It is always clean and fresh unlike some of the other local gyms. Love the up to date equipment. Owner and trainer will help you with any questions that you might have with the equipment. Another great feature of the gym is the Fitness On Request. You can do just about any type of class that you would like, any time you would like without having all the other people around if you are not comfortable with your skill level. I've been a member at this Anytime Fitness for roughly 6 months. I had to relocate from another awesome Anytime Fitness location in North Valleys due to me moving. Both locations are great with a friendly staff, clean equipment and gym. One thing I like about Anytime Fitness' are the fun and inspirational quotes/images you're surrounded by, like on the weight scale assuring folks the 'number' they weight will never define what kind of person you are. Cheesy for me express I know, but encouraging none the less and people love feeling encouraged to do great and push beyond their means. I also enjoy how this location promotes how AF members are a family unit. The walls are decorated with member achievement and the support of local business and families. I don't get to reno very often for work but when I do I always catch the anytime fitness since its schedule is right up my alley. in start with squats then do some cardio and end it with weights. the people, when there are any are very helpful and make sure to clean up after themselves when needed. Great gym! The availability of cardio machines and free weights are perfect. I'm not a fan of larger gyms like Fitness Connection (Gold's) and often found myself skipping the gym since it was so far out of my way. Anytime Fitness offers one membership with multiple gyms, but the one on Longley is the best. The owner is helpful and respectfully maintains the standards all gyms should uphold. The on demand fitness and class room are private and offer a great variety to traditional workouts, but without an expensive membership fee. I'm a student and the membership fees are still reasonable. The bang you get for your buck is well worth it. Nice entry way, clean gym, great shower areas, and best of all FRIENDLY, family oriented staff. No juice head jerk offs making you feel uncomfortable here. Highly recommend! read more

You would think that with a franchise Anytime Fitness there's only so much that you can do well or do wrong. But Andrew and everyone at this place does everything right. The location itself is very convenient at the corner of McCarren and Longley as well as a ton of window and natural light streaming in. He has a variety of plants in the gym which add to the healthy atmosphere and plenty of free weights to really get the job done. Above all the owner's attention to detail and hard work in running the place really show through. I have been with Anytime for a year now. It was a HUGE adjustment coming from my last gym and adjusting to the smaller space. I had to switch because we bought a home and our old gym wasn't conveniently located anymore. I'm used to a dozen bathrooms and showers on just the women's side and had to adjust to find the right time before work to come here so I can get a shower....BUT it is very clean, quiet, not stuffy, not smelly and it is open 24/7! You can't beat that. I don't see staff here much, but they clearly get after the upkeep! It is a little more $ compared to my last gym, we pay $30 for myself and $30 for my Husband a month and a $29 each facilities fee a year in addition. Once you get over the size and start a routine you will love it! read more

I recently moved and had to switch gym locations. This gym is clean, but really small with a ton of equipment crammed in one little space. Not a lot of room to workout which is pretty frustrating and going to take some getting use to, but overall not horrible. Needless to say I miss my other location and the people. :( read more

i had a great experience my very first time at anytime fitness, i came with a friend and i liked how small and quiet the place was while i was there, unfortunately we did not follow the guidelines as to how we are supposed to go about the visiting pass. we thought we could just walk in, assuming the cameras will see that im a visitor.. (shes never brought visitors) im upset at how it was addressed to my friend who has been with anytime fitness for years at this point. she has been faithful to the gym for a long time and i am not aware of this ever happening with her. i feel as though she could have been treated more fairly about the issue at hand and for that i will not put my money into a membership at this location. read more

I am 63 year old service disabled veteran Stopped by anytime fitness to join. Instead I have a confrontation with what he stated to be a "general Manager". I came in behind a member and was holding the door for the next guy whom I found out later was the manager.. This manager starts yelling at me "you can't do that". I have no idea why he is yelling. I had unknowingly violated some cardinal rule. I asked him twice did he work there. This guy more than once had the opportunity to turn the conversation around but choose instead to escalate the problem by bringing members (yep members) into an obvious . One young man got within a couple of inches of my face. I asked him twice to back up. All of this is being fed by this "general Manager".I absolutely take my share of the responsibility. I spent over 15 years as an Army Ranger. The level of disrespect and immature behavior coming from this guy was amazing. One of the best anytimes fitness gym ive been to. The owner is super nice and signed me up a few years ago. They keep the gym clean and stay up on the maintenance so you never see any gym equipment broken or out of use. Its open 24/7 and if you need anything just go see the owner or staff and they will help you with what ever you need. read more
