Worst gym in the country. They called the police on me because I refused to wear my mask. First of all, it states that no one should wear a mask during exercising in scientific publications. Second, the governor of New Jersey stated in executive order 192 that if a customer of ANY business has a medical condition they just gave to say that and do not need to produce proof. I have multiple medical conditions. I said this country is turning socialist and they thought I said they were socialist. The gym manager was extremely rude and nasty. I wouldn't go back there if they paid me to. In addition their equipment is often broken and it takes them a week or more to get it fixed. People don't even follow their rules and the employees just sit on the computer or cell phone half the time instead of cleaning. What a horror of a "gym." I'd rather pay 10 times as much and join a real gym. read more

Unfortunately this planet fitness is really going downhill. They recently decided to remove half of their machines in order to create more space. With how busy this location is, it was already difficult to find a machine at 8pm on a weekday. It is now 9:30pm on a weekday and since they only have about 4-5 leg machines, you'll never get one unless you plan on coming in at 2am. Super bad decision that made an already packed gym even worse. Canceling my membership and moving to a gym that can accommodate someone who wants to go to the gym at a reasonable time! read more

New to the area coming from another gym that i loved and this was the closest and most friendly gym near me now. James greeted us ( husband and i ) as we walked in and gave us a great tour of the gym. Its pretty big and spacious. He walked us though the membership options and was very chill in letting us decide. If i could change one thing i would make it brighter in Planet Fitness. Not just this location but the others I have worked out in all just seem a bit under lit, and perhaps there is a reason for that. They have a great training schedule, and so many machines that do not worry about going during what is a busy time. I did not join that day but i came back later in the week and joined and has since started finding my routine here. I got the black card and look forward to using some of the features that offers. read more

This club is lacking equipment. There is plenty of space to add equipment and help minimize wait times. What equipment that is there, tends to go down for service and not be repaired for weeks. This Includes sinks and urinals in the restroom. I travel nationally and visit PF's all over this country. This club needs to kick it up a notch to be on par with comparable clubs. Add smith presses, pec machine, more flat benches, 45ibs plates, etc... read more

I don't understand how a gym can not have working sinks and soap!! The two things that are absolutely necessary in any gym!! If you can't wash your hands after working out then assume everyone's hands here are dirty including the staff! Only one soap dispenser that never has soap, and one sink because the other two are always broken in the ladies bathroom. What are you doing with the membership fees if your not doing something as simple as having running water and soap. And from what I hear the men's room is no different, no soap! Seriously it's a gym, it's not that hard to fill soap dispensers and call a plumber. The staff needs to be walking the floor more and checking for these things and speaking up to management of things like this need to be addressed.I hope your New Year's resolution is to emphasize clean hygiene to your members. read more

I've tried to become a member here. My company will pay the fee for a year in advance, but this outfit only will only accept a direct charge to a bank account every month. Can you imagine a Fortune 50 company giving these hosers access to their account? When I asked to see a contract, they told me to go online. Nothing there. Amazing that anyone would do business with a company when they can't see the terms! In my world that's plain sleazy business practices. At the club they say you can bail out with no warning, that there is no term length to the membership, but I can't find that ANYWHERE! Do they bill you the $35 annual charge if you want to leave early? Too many things not tied up. I like the facility, hours, and equipment, but I can't do business with a company that obfuscates their business practices. Good gym for the price. Great gym compared to other planets fitness's in the area. Big open space with a large amount of treadmills and elipicals. I wish they had more weight machines but it has not caused an issue so far. Not the top of line gym but it's great for the price. read more

I'm not sure why people would complain about PF ... usually probably when they have a hard financial situation ... If everything is good with you and you just want to have a cheap full of machines gym than this is the right place for you ... myself I love that when you have a black card and you travel a lot there is a PF in almost every city ... What more can one ask for paying 20$ a month? ... you don't travel ... well than it's even better news for 10$ a month .... I don't go to the gym on weekend so the hours are good ... I don't like the fact that they provide pizza, bagels and Tootsie rolls ... I also don't like that the weights are mislabeled ... I go to the gym at work and I can't do the same amount of weights ... I'm not sure what the guy in the comments below is talking about but this gym is beautiful and a great deal compared to others in the area. I just left another local gym and am paying the same I did there but am getting the best membership that includes aqua massages, tanning, and free guests so I can bring my daughters with me and not have to join them. I love that there is no commitment! This place is huge with top of the line equipment. I think no matter what time I go I can't imagine there being a shortage of treadmills. People are cleaning constantly there. The desk and managers have been nothing but helpful. The location is great (stop by Walmart or the Dollar Tree before or after). last November (2020) I noticed 2 charges to my bank acct. from Planet Fitness for a monthly membership. I was under the impression that the gym had closed due to the CoVid epidemic. I called the manager and she told me that they had opened in October. I asked why they didn't send emails letting us know, and she said they had. I told her I hadn't received any and she was rude and said that I had. I then said please cancel my membership as I care for 2 elderly parents and cannot be exposed to anyone at the gym and potentially get them sick. She said Fine, but you will have to pay the membership application fee of $75 when you return, so its best you don't cancel. I told her that I don't care, I won't be charged for something I cant use. So she cancelled my membership. 6 months later, I get another membership fee charge and an Annual membership fee charge as well. I call the planet fitness and get an Emilie S. who claims to be the manager. She looks it up and claims I never cancelled and there is no record of my membership is cancelled. Then all of a sudden she says Oh wait, your membership was frozen and went active again. Then after a 10-minute argument, She said shed cancel my membership but couldn't refund me the $50 they charged me. This is FRAUD and taking advantage of people during a pandemic. I am so happy with this gym. I have had nothing but good experiences since the day I walked in. No hard selling to join. The staff is super friendly. Saying "hello" and "have a nice day" go such a long way! The place is immaculate. There are spray/paper towel stations about 5 feet from every machine, which I think encourages people to clean machines after they are finished using them. The locker room is spotless. I've belonged to other gyms in the area and some of the locker rooms are disgusting. You can see that all employees are happy and take pride in their work. There is just a really good vibe there. Everyone minds their own business and works out-it's not a club atmosphere like the place I used to go to where people were routinely taking selfies while they worked out and in the locker room (yuck). I was a skeptic. I'll admit it. I always thought Planet Fitness was not a serious gym. I could not have been more wrong. This place has the same types of cardio equipment and machines as all of the chains. They also offer a free orientation and small group classes, which I don't think a lot of places do. The place is clean enough, staff looks like they are constantly doing something. The choice of machines is solid but could be improved. The staff sometimes cannot answer basic questions or carry out basic tasks. Example - I was leaving for a two month European trip on a Monday. I was at the gym the weekend before my trip and thought it was convenient to let them know to freeze my membership for two months. Of course the manager was not in and the staff member could not help. Told me to come back Monday which is when I was flying out. I did not come back Monday but did send an email. However my reason for wanting to freeze my membership was not acceptable, it only works if you are a marine or member of the armed forces sent abroadyup, completely crazy. After a few months I wanted to cancel my membership. Of course you either have to come in person or send them certified mail. I came in person and the staff member took care of this pretty fast only to find out when I went home that he had messed up the dates Not sure what to think of this place - the location is convenient for me, it's plenty big, clean enough, new....on the other hand staff that works there are mostly kids trained only for basic tasks. I moved here the same month that the gym opened. I was a member of Planet Fitness back home so it was easy to carry my membership over! I have only one complaint. The hours. Why do you close at 7 on Sunday??? Seems stupid to be open 24 hours during the week but close at 7 on Sunday. People want to go to the gym to continue their nightly gym session to set themselves up for success for the week. I personally wish it was open 24/7. Disappointed in the two recent tanning policy changes in a month. My girlfriend and I have been a member since April. She has tanned about 15 times. Originally, she could tan for six minutes, then the policy recently changed and she could tan up to twelve minutes. We went today, and was told she can only tan for two minutes and the computer showed her only tanning one time since April. This was obviously incorrect. We asked to speak with a manager, but was told the manager and assistant manager were not available. This is quite disappointing considering it is a week day and prime time. After discussing this with the clerk for a couple minutes, we cancelled both of our Black card memberships as she was unable to fix this problem. read more

Management has no clue about health or fitness , kick people out for carrying a bag & water. Most judgmental gym around easily. The fact that pizza, bagels and tootsie rolls are given away for free is a scam this place is a joke. The managers are pieces of shit , also they don't have free benches or good decline angles , the equipment they do have is very nice though I must say, also management talks about females in inappropriate ways & have a lot to say that isn't good about they're customers even the management talks bad about customers it is literally the most judgmental gym around, also the management had some issues keeping in his pants when it came to a coworker which is against policy . I do like the gym and concept of planet fitness, am am just honestly giving my opinion , that is they profile and pick and choose who they want to kick out. They never gave me a warning and then when they did kick me out it was because I had a water and bag but so did the lady next to me so they tend to pick and choose when they lay down the law , even when I worked there it was a mess....that's why they have a new lineup of front desk every month. It is 24-5 & a lot of space with good equipment though just felt the need to share my experience at the gym, I've been to every local gym and ever had an issue. I never really post reviews but I had to for this. My friends and I started coming to the gym later at night and lucky for us we got to meet Lori who works the overnight shift. Straight up the best costumer service anyone could ever ask for. She's one of the funniest most welcoming people you'll ever meet and we honestly look forward to seeing her cause her energy is contagious. Of all the gyms I've been to, I have never encountered anyone like her who is that cool and welcoming. She has us actually looking forward to going to the gym. She's extremely motivating and makes the whole experiencing fun as hell. Hands down best employee, hiring her was the best thing Planet Fitness has ever done.
