This location is not safe for women. Two women informed staff that a random man was recording them during their workout. PF took no action against the man and dismissed the women's concerns. read more

We're traveling the country in our van and we joined Planet Fitness because they have more locations nationwide than any other gym. We've been to a dozen locations in three states so far. This location is fairly new, everything was nice and clean. The showers had hot water and the employees were friendly and actively cleaning. read more

Well for one. Having the workers there enforce the open toed shoes policy would be awesome. Oh, maybe enforcing the wipe down the machines for the next guy rule. Or, my personal favorite. This is a great place to work out. Everyone minds their own business and is focused on their workout. The place is clean and there are so many stations I've never had to wait to use a machine. Been to a boat load of PF gym, and this is technically my home gym. But honestly it's probably got the laziest batch of employees I have seen at a PF location. Half the time there is scraps of paper or trash on the floor. The paper towel dispensers to clean machines are constantly empty. If it weren't for the easy of using outside gyms and the plethora of locations, I wouldn't be using this PF at all. Extremely subpar compared to the rest. read more

New club so there's that. Wanted to sign up, super easy and quick but they wouldn't show me around because "I'm only one here." So I say okay, can I walk around? They say "I can't let you". I ask if they have a day pass, "we don't do that." Also they won't let you sign up unless you have your checking account number with you (who carries checks with them any more?). Literally I was going to sign up immediately super easy and the assistant manger seemed to be an expert in unhelpful skill set. Most defiantly needs some training. Lost a super easy sale. read more

I've been to numerous gyms through the years but this was visit to a Planet Fitness. Never had a desire to workout at one because I always thought it was too commercialized. Visited here by default as I couldn't find another open gym close by while visiting from out of town. It was open 24/7! I had to make a few adjustments to my workout but it got the job done. Simply put it's a good single story, vaulted ceiling gym. Not the best gym hardcore heavy lifters. Great hours, big parking lot, not crowded (when I visited), friendly and helpful staff, a great variety of well maintained and clean cardio and weight machines, clean and modern locker rooms with locks you set, a good weight room and about 25 flat screen televisions. I also noticed a tanning and massage area. Very limited in the free weight area... The vibe is relaxed, "judgement free," friendly and somewhat quiet. There are signs everywhere reading "you belong," "no critics," "no egos," judgement free zone," etc. If they add more equipment/space to the free weight area, they can easily move into the five zone. Almost forgot to mention, I received a free t-shirt for signing up! read more

The music is loud to the point where you are OK without headphones which is really cool. The gym is big and there's a lot of machines. Never any machines open. The girl working today didn't let me go in because I hit the max, and of course planet fitness doesn't make it easy to switch your "home gym" for some reason I can't just do it online so I have to call and it takes days. Super bait and switch of Pf to advertise unlimited access with black card when that's not true. For someone who works out everyday and travels for a living this isn't a good gym. They won't even let you go in w/o paying a "franchise fee" after I already pay 25 plus taxes a month and 45 yearly? No thnx. Went to the gym tonight and the lady was rude to me for the second time, first time I didn't bring ID after signing up online so I brought it in, then she was not willing to explain or help me when she stated that the membership yearly fee was due two months after signing up. I give it a four star just because I wish they had child care. But for the price it has everything you would need in the gym. From hydro massage chairs and tanning beds. Plus a wide selection of workout machines. I use the one off south commercial and it is very spacious. I've never had to wait for a machine. Friendly staff as well! read more

Cool gym! Has a lot of different things cardio and weight lifting machines. It's great to be able to tan and get massages as well! My only complaint is that the dumbells only go to 75lbs but other than that it's great! read more

I cant say enough bad about this place. Hidden fees, horrendous service, tanning beds rarely sanitized, needs an account number and routing number because for some reason in 2018 cash or card wont be accepted here ( reason I'll get into in a moment). You cant cancel except in person so they can guilt and brow beat and shame you Then even IF you cancel they will show you EXACTLY why they dont take debit or cash, because by demanding your bank account info they make it extremely difficult to stop them from charging you're bank account or stopping their payments. They hit my checking with three different names After cancelling, and blocking every time with wells Fargo having to reverse charges. Then they went after my da savings account and finally my wife's pre paid debit card proving that yes they do in fact have the ability to take debit, they just know it's easier to shut down a card access than an account access. read more

Previous reviewers have already covered everything but here's my take. Staff is welcoming, evenings and nights are busy, hydro massage beds are incredible, and there are real people, not Barbies and Kens here. It's a great place for beginners as well as more advanced work out enthusiasts or as I call them, fitness gurus. I don't know how to use most equipment but there are pictures on each machine to show you what to do, or you can come in and sign up for a small group (five people max) to learn how to use the 12 minute or 30 minute circuit areas. Just don't slam your weights and set off the Lunk Alarm or we will see you. And laugh. Muahahaha! read more

I had a membership for 1 year. Decided to stick to a local gym to save on time and gas. Came back and signed up again. Don't know what it is but I absolutely love planet fitness until my visit this evening that is. The personal trainer is rude! Mask slid below my nose, tell me politely to pull it up, I honestly didn't even realize that it happened. His customer service skills absolutely suck. I pointed out that there were several people with their noses showing. He shouted that IVE BEEN HERE 8.5 HOURS A DAY! What are you 2? Adults work full days, some do double shifts. If planet fitness wants to keep costumers happy they should probably get rid of that wanna be cop. We don't need the police there. I will be canceling my contract. read more

Great place to work out. Everything is always clean and easy to use. The staff does a really great job at keeping the place clean. I've seen them on their hands and knees cleaning the treadmills so they stay clean and ready to use when you get there. Really cheap which is great because I'm a poor uni student. You can also find deals at certain times of the year in order to get a deal on a membership. I've had both the $20 and $10 membership. The reason I had the $20 one was because at the time it was cheaper (because of the deal) to get that one. You also get a FREE T-shirt when you sign up! How exciting!! When I went off to college it was really easy to cancel the membership. Just go to the front desk and talk to them about it. When I came back from college I asked about reopening my membership and they were totally willing to help! The staff is really nice and friendly. They have a trainer that you can ask questions to in order to have a better workout. Also the staff tries really hard to learn names so when you walk in they remember you name and face. A nice "welcome Anthony," and "Have a good workout!" Is always a great way to start my workout. The trainer leads a bunch of different classes to help with your exercises. Legs (never skip leg day!), arms, abs, and full body are just some of the classes. I've taken a few of the classes and they were really fun and worked me out good. Also if you take a class you get a ticket that gets put into a raffle that you can win prizes!! I still haven't won anything but I'm hoping I will one day. Fingers crossed. I was in town for two weeks. Planet fitness was the perfect choice for a few workouts and I was not disappointed. The equipment is top notch. The facility very clean and the most impressive part of this gym? the members. Each member using the facility picked up after themselves. There's a table with two large rolls of paper towels and a cleaning solution or spray bottles. Every person using the equipment made use of the paper towels and the cleaning solution to wipe down the weights used. My point is the gym will be what the members make of it. The Planet Fitness staff was very professional. The daily fee is a bit expensive for non members. The members at my home gym in LA *****'s are not that courteous, but we can be better and pick up after ourselves. We can only aspire to be like Salem's planet fitness. read more

I attend this gym frequently at night and the two guys at the front desk are always so welcoming & super helpful and friendly, they automatically make you feel like their friends whenever you walk in. However, the shorter lady with blonde-ish hair that is there during the evenings/nights is rude and has a nasty attitude whenever she encounters us. Recently I had a situation and she did not want to help us and only wanted her way, unlike the two guys. So, I decide I need to join a gym. I go to Planet Fitness, since they offer a $15 monthly plan with no commitment. Walk in, nice guy at the counter tells me he needs a credit card AND a checking account number. Checking account? Yeah, I remember those, from way back when I had a home phone. Nice gym but lately at this location there has been Constant car break in's in this parking lot, staff is not helpful, unconcerned seeming about the whole situation. Apparently window smashing only happens at night, although I've seen two incidents where the robbery had happened in daylight. No security cameras on the parking lot. Everything was perfect until Austin and his manager at the Lancaster location decided to have the worst customer service day ever. They are "horrible people" and as much as it hurt me to cancel, I really don't want to see their faces ever again. They are disrespectful, inconsiderate, they act superior to their customers when they are approached and unforgiving. Great environment. All new equipment. You never have to wait for a machine because there are so many. The Red light, Green light room for 30 min workouts is awesome. And it is only $10/mo with no contract, which is the one I have. There is also a $19.99/mo with a 12mo commitment which also includes hydromassage bed, massage chairs, unlimited tanning, a red light therapy thing and you can bring a guest with you every time. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because it doesn't have a pool or basketball court. But for $10, you can't beat it read more

Heres why I like this place: Its bright, its vibrant, its an open space. There are plenty of machines and most of the people, if not everyone I have seen there has been there to work out. They dont mess around, they dont take up space and time. Its not inconvenient. the Location is a good one, on more than one occasion ive ran to wal mart or something if i needed something after, or before, if i forget my waterbottle or need something. The staff is nice; they seem to remember the patrons. the massage chairs are cool. I wish they didnt encourage tanning, but it is what it is. the price is great (although i did try to cancel, only because i began outdoor training for a half marathon, and they so eloquently avoided my request to the point i just kept it active a little longer. when I am done training for road races and im back in a gym, im going back here. Not very happy with planet fitness overall. The facility is nice, usually very clean and plenty of equipment to choose from. Anytime I have to speak with a an employee it has been a problem. I moved from California to Oregon, I have tried switching over my home gym to OR and every time I get told to come in or do It online myself. Which online has always given me problems even when registering with the gym in the very beginning (I got double charged). When asking if they could change address info over the phone they were very reluctant to help and still have CA as my home gym after speaking with two people. As far as getting help with issues on your account you are on your own, 9/10 I've been told to go online when asking for help. read more

I noticed that I was charged an annual fee of 39.00 on my acct. I went into my local Planet Fitness gym and spoke with Levi. He greeted me and tried to retain me, he offered for me to place my account on hold for 60 days. I told him I was expecting and due to Covid I wasn't interested. He canceled my account and stated I would get a refund for the annual fee. He was very personable and friendly. I looked at my checking account and noticed a pending charge of 10 after I had already cancelled my account. I called and spoke to Armondo. He wasn't friendly, he said he was a manger and I had to pay the annual fee AND the 10 fee even though I had already cancelled. He didn't care that I spoke to Levi and that he assured me the issue was resolved. He was only after my money and customer service was of no importance. I will never go to that establishment again, and I don't recommend it. They are not in the customer service business. Armondo refused to give me an extension or ID to reference him, so I could notify management. I have involved my bank in this matter. read more

This location is horrible. The staff, in particular Miguel & Cristobal are lazy and don't want to help the customer. The weight machines need servicing badly. In particular the glute machine will not work properly & someone could hurt themselves. When my husband brought the situation to Miguel's attention, he didn't want to do anything about or even put an "out of order" sign on it. He thought it was a big joke & even laughed at my husband. When I approached him at the front desk, he was in the process of telling Cristobal. They were both laughing about it. They would rather have some get hurt. The absolute worst customer service. I signed up just before the pandemic, the gym closed and they weren't charging fees. When they re-opened for a bit I decided I wanted to call and cancel my membership for Covid reasons. They insisted I freeze my account because things would be better in a few months. When my freeze ended I tried calling to cancel but since they closed again I wasn't able to get ahold of anyone via email or phone. Fast forward to February and I see a charge on my account I called and they verified they opened back up again so I kindly requested to cancel my membership due to Covid reasons (I am not in a contract) they said I needed to come in person or send a certified letter, but that she would freeze my account another 90 days to allow me time decide if I want to keep my membership or to get a certified letter out to cancel. She assured me absolutely no fees would be taken out except the one that was taken out this month. Less than 2 weeks later I see 39.99 taken out of my account I call to find out why and they said it's an annual fee, I said I was told no fees would be taken out during the freeze, the manager told me that's only membership fees and that he was sorry the employee gave me wrong information but that he won't be refunding the fee because there was a miscommunication on how a freeze works (keep in mind his employee explained to me how it works and said absolutely no fees would be taken out) I asked to speak to his manager and he told me he doesn't give out his manager Info. I asked to speak with someone at a corporate office and he told me they don't have a corporate office and that essentially I was speaking to the person with the highest authority at planet fitness, and If I wanted to I could possibly google their franchise to find someone to speak with.
