I have had a membership here at this Physiq Fitness now for about a week, and so far, I've really liked it here. The staff are incredibly friendly and the equipment is well-maintained and clean. Getting in a workout is easy and hassle free. Really it's everything that you'd hope for in a gym. But the smoothie bar... Oh God, the smoothie bar... The smoothie bar here is, dare I say, amazing. They have a pretty extensive menu of options for people looking to drink a meal or for people just wanting a little something after some sweatin'. Truly there is a drink for everyone here. And they've also recently added a Build Your Own smoothie option so even if nothing on the menu looks quite right to you, you can have them build you your very own custom drink to your liking. Really, I would almost get a membership here just for the access to their smoothies. No lie. $10 a month is a bargain for the deliciousness they're putting out from behind that counter. I've now had three different drinks from here and all three of them were fantastic. Like "Go out and tell all of my friends" fantastic. Seriously. Don't believe me? Have them make up some samples and see for yourself. Their drinks make my stomach and taste buds as happy as much as their weights make my muscles happy. I'm not even sure if that's protein powder or chocolate flavored cocaine they're putting in them and honestly, I don't even care. Seriously, get a smoothie. Like right now. Three years of lifting here. Overall a positive experience. The staff is great. But: many of the machines are not bolted down so they slide around as you lift. The squat racks are amateurishly placed in the middle of the workout floor far from mirrors. The biggest issue is just basic cleanliness. The water fountain is consistently filthy. I have notified the owner about this on numerous occasions. To no avail. I mean, how much time and effort does it take to wipe down a drinking fountain? We are drinking from this cesspool. life changing... I don't usually write reviews, but I think it's time I share my experience with Physiq Gym in Keizer. This place has truly changed my life. I joined about 16 months ago, and since then, I feel like a completely new person. Not only have I become healthier and happier (I've lost over 100lbs) , but I've also found the confidence to pursue opportunities I never would've imagined for myself. The community here is incredible. I've made lasting friendships, and the support from the trainers--especially Nico, Paula, Betzai, and Martha--has been nothing short of inspiring. They push me to be my best and to constantly challenge myself. This weekend, I completed a Spartan 5k. A year ago, I wouldn't have believed that was possible for me. But here I am--proud of what I've accomplished and deeply grateful for the encouragement and strength I've found at this gym. Physiq Fitness is an amazing gym. I have a 2 year old and I am a stay at home mom with little to no "village". So doing things for myself most days is out of the question. When I found out that I could join a gym with a daycare, I was excited but also nervous because I don't usually have anyone to watch him other than myself. The women who work in the daycare are incredible and they are so good with my son. I was instantly assured he'd be fine. It's our favorite thing to do. My son gets so excited and I get so excited to be able to work on myself, mentally and physically for 90 minutes a day, Monday through Thursday. The gym staff are amazing and always helpful. The gym is clean and the equipment is well taken care of. When you go to their website, for each location it will tell you how busy the gym is at any given time which is really cool. Scammy billing practices and hidden fees, signed up last year under their 10 a month membership, turns out it's a 2.50 fee if you use a credit card, also hidden into the membership and not mentioned by their sales rep are the hidden 49.99 annual fee, cancelled the membership but because I cancelled a day late they still hit me with a 49.99 fee and are refusing to refund it, would not recommend read more

It's all right nothing like court house. Way too packed but just enough space. Don't have all the weights for dumbbells. Music way to loud in there. But for sure can get big with what they have and for price it's pretty cheap and can see why. Might go back to court house shut for now Physiq will do. read more

only adding a star for the employees that were kind and compassionate. recently keizer location changed management in the mornings to a new manager/assistant manager. my two year old was denied entering a toddler bathroom by the assistant manager because the daycare was not open for another 5 minutes. we did not want to use the daycare, just the restroom. we were talked to with such disgrace and lack of any compassion. I understand now the assistant manager is not qualified to unlock certain doors or to make decisions in the daycare area where there is the only toddler toilet. I'm shocked the assistant is not qualified for this when once I saw my child was left with a maintenance person instead of the daycare professional. very concerning. I ended with membership after the new morning manager did not know how to handle a disgruntled customer and found to resolution. spend a couple more bucks and get more amenities down the road at the courthouse, it's worth it. Customer service at courthouse is A+ worried about the service at a gym with their childcare? Worry less elsewhere. read more

We've only been members for two weeks but the people are friendly, efficient, and clean the machines between 12-1 which is great since we go in after 1pm usually; good social distancing, they give you a bottle for disinfecting machines when you come in which I suggested at our last gym(closed now do to the Covid)has really helped keep things clean. They also have more machines and better music than our last place, plus the smoothie/drink bar area is nice, and I hope to use the movie workout area sometime...once again, another business working for us(PS they're giving all of us BFit members a free month and a free t-shirt, Yea!) read more

I've been a member of this gym for around 2 years or so. I got to the gym when I could and I certainly wouldn't consider myself a gym rat. The establishment was always clean and the staff very friendly. Also many many workout options. Now with all that said here's why I cancelled my membership. Several months ago my bank had a "Breach" and with no notifications sent me and my wife new cards, and cancelled the old ones. Fine, thanks for looking out. However, it left me with the inconvenience of having to notify all the business and services who auto withdraw from my account. Now as you could imagine there were some I missed when the payments are on auto sometimes you just don't thing about it. Edge Training & Fitness was one of them. All of them EXCEPT Edge Training & Fitness, notified me of a missed payment and I corrected it right away. Last night I got a phone call from a collection agency about my missed payments. A freaking COLLECTION AGENCY! I don't get sent to collections. I pay my debts, my credit rating is everything to me. I was furious absolutely furious. Edge Fitness and Training has my address, email, and phone number. A courtesy call, or letter or something would have been nice. But a call from a collection agency straight out of the blue sent me sideways. This is why I gave the business an "OK" rating. The person I spoke with at the gym was very nice and apologetic, she even took off many of the fees. I gave her my new card number, paid my debt and then cancelled my membership. If a member misses a payment then I think a friendly reminder is in order, not let it build for 4 months and then go straight to collections with no notification. Either someone dropped the ball (and I acknowledge my part in this) or that's a billing policy I choose not to be involved with. read more

This is probably the worst gym in Salem Keizer area. The staff are rude and lazy and seem to be annoyed if you ask them any questions. Most of the time they are just joking around with each other ignoring everyone there. They've changed a lot of aspects since I've been a member and all of them are for the worse. Great gym to go to! I work NOC shifts so coming in the early morning works best. Can get busy at times though. Staff are friendly and helpful. And have some awesome healthy drinks available made to your liking. People are also very good at cleaning their own machines after using them. You pay for what you get. The gym is entirely too small for the amount of clients it has. Every day a new piece of gym equipment is broken, it takes weeks to get equipment repaired. Their hours use to be 24/7, but recently changed, which is super inconvenient as this was one of the perks as to why I joined in the first place. The locker rooms are never clean, showers are disgusting with the shower curtains having mildew on them. They claim they have a sauna, but for the past three months that I've been a member it's been locked and "out of order". Only 9 months left of my contract, and I won't be renewing. read more

Went to the gym to see what all the hype was about and from the moment you walk in you can see the difference. Great equipment, open floor plan, not cramped or small. Very large gym for the area. The staff was friendly and very thorough with their intro to the gym and their programs. I was not a fan of the 1 year contract or their buyout process but if your planning on quitting the gym why sign up in the first place, so I guess that wasn't that big of a deal. Anyhow I did sign up for their $29 a month plan simply because they had more to offer than Anytime fitness which was very very small. read more

Been going to the Keizer club for about 10 months now. Received personal training for 6 of those months and gained a lot. My trainer was awesome to work with. The employees are not perfect but I find them to be friendly and helpful. You are greeted when you arrive and acknowledge you when you leave. The part that gets a huge markdown is the rudeness of the "tough guy" "meat heads" that workout there. There momma never taught them how to share with or be pleasant around others. These same guys make a mess out of the locker room, lock all the combo locks so the lockers cannot be used by others. Normally I make friends in the gyms I've been in and see the same friendly people every time I workout. It only takes a few "tough guys" to ruin it for everybody. Management could stand to intervene with some of this nonsense or continue to ignore it, their call. I wish them well, it is time for me to find a friendlier environment to workout in. read more

Im joined this gym because they have the most free weights out of the two gyms i looked at. Equipment is newer and in good condition. They have classes in the workout area which is super annoying. If you workout during the times they have classes it can impede on your workout depending on the equipment youre ttying to use. They only have one calve machine, they had two but apparently the other one was a contractors that left that gym. They havent replaced it yet and i dont believe they plan on it. The gym is super open and has the right equipment to do weightlifting, cardio and crossfit type workouts. Overall its a pretty good gym other then the annoyimg classes. Amd the have a dry sauna that has been out of order since i joined. read more

Been going to this gym for a couple weeks now and what I like about this place is that it's really CLEAN. Staff is always helpful and nice, always greeting their customers. Equipment is all up to date and there's always someone cleaning every day. The downside is it's busy between 5-8pm week nights but that's a given for after work workouts. read more

I am a member there in Keizer. I love the young staff that works there. But the manager is very unprofessional. I over heard her telling her employee that she wouldn't waive another members fee because he is a "douche bag" when the employee said that is wasn't policy to base off personal opinions she said "don't get started with me" she is always yelling at everyone telling them what to do and is so loud and rude to the employees and members. She has made me feel like an idiot on multiple occasions when I just had a question. I would recommend this gym if she wasn't the manager and was more professional. I was about to sign up here when my friend told me she has had unauthorized charges on her card from this business. After $160 worth of charges she has never even provided her card or visited the gym and Edge is unwilling to reimburse her. I've been to 24hr Fitness and Physiq Fitness in South Salem and this gym by far exceeds the standards. Very clean, wide variety of machines and good range of weight for dumbbells. Aside from the necessary equipment available, this gym has recently turned into a 24hr gym. I've worked out at 6am, 1pm, 5pm and not once has this gym been crowded or have I ever had to wait to use any equipment. read more

do not join this gym!! local staff is great, but there corporate and billing and member services are the worst ever seen. they will keep billing your account after you leave, they also make so many hoops to jump through to cancel that you feel like you are in second grade asking for permission to go pee. this gym will be a thing of the past if they dont clean up there act. just like the old golds gym. read more

I worked out here when it was Golds, then Platinum, fast-forward to it being Body Renew, and then poof, Edge Fitness... Short story, my wife signed up to get some personal training for the first 6 months of pregnancy so the last 3 months weren't so overwhelming. Body Renew had a trainer with experience and things worked good. Once the Edge took over, they assumed all existing contracts with no opportunity to opt out without some sort of hidden charge. The trainer she had signed up with disappeared and she got stuck with a trainer that hit on our oldest daughter while talking to my wife. Thats when my wife decided to let the 6 months lapse, then went in and told the GM to stop the training charges as she was now 3rd trimester. He said he would take care of it, and they immediate stopped. COOL! Fast forward again 7 months and we decide to go in together and add me to the Edge membership. They hook us up with a cool deal for both if we signed up for a year, so we did. A month later when the first payment came out, a huge withdrawal of 1700 comes out as well. My wife went in there in tears and the girl at the front desk treats her like junk. She comes back to work and everyone tells us to contact the owner, he is cool and will help us out. No chance of that. He basically fed us lie after lie. They use a company to handle all withdrawals, but as it turns out, this withdrawal was direct from the gym. He said he made attempts to collect multiple times. Our cell records showed no calls from the gym. He said they tried to collect from the bank multiple times. The bank said it never happened. My wife went in there and confronted Ben. He ended up yelling at my wife in front of employees and members, and cancelled our membership on the spot. No money back. We involved our bank, the police, our attorney, and the dept of justice. We and the dept of justice - after some back and forth, were told by the owners that we were going to be getting our money back. To date we have not received a dime. read more
