My daughter purchased a temporary plan since she attends school in China-a plan for the summer. I saw a charge that posted on 8/3/26 for 49.00 on my account. I could not dispute it with the bank yet because it was pending. I had my daughter go down today and speak with the manager about this charge. Today is 8/4/26. She explained that she was returning to China and would not even be in San Dimas. The manager denied the claim but said she could talk to someone at corporate. She did, again was told no and showed her contract via .pdf. This person said she could talk to another person if she wanted to (now the 3rd person). She did and this person was very rude to her. She said it sounded like she was reading from a script--she is only 19 and was cordial with the person. They rudely stated she should have watched for the date. And this is a company that has inclusive positive slogan on the wall? I want a refund of the $49.00. It has been 2 business days. Really one since it did not post the 3rd and she went down on the sixth. Supposedly they are "Judgement Free" and have all the sign in the place about being inclusive and supportive--that was NOT the case. For a company that made $1.24 billon dollar as of 2025 (increase of 12.1% over 2024), I do not think $49 would hurt them given it was a day, I even spoke to corporate. They said she was charged on the 27th. I highlighted the contract showing that the charge would occur on or about the 1st of August. I highlighted that part in the contract and they NEVER responded and still refuse to refund the $49.00. Please do not get trapped by them and do not go. That supportive stuff on the wall is smoke and mirrors. My wife is cancelling her's too. I pay $21 more dollars a year at 24 hour fitness and no whining staff and real weights. read more

Just joined a couple of weeks ago. Stopped going to the gym when the pandemic hit us and all gyms got closed. Equipment all seems in great shape. Location really focuses on cleanliness which I like. Lots of spray bottles and paper rolls to wipe down before and after. They also have a staff member who is busy walking around with a vacuum. Refuse to have machines in working order. Only two outer thigh machines. The machine on left can't even go in the main position. The other one (for thousands of paying clients) is way off balance. The right leg only gets tension some three to four inches away from center and the left one closer to center. Really horrible to strength train your body in such an unbalanced way. read more

I went to Planet Fitness in San Dimas and it has the look of being in a western movie. They have two floors and I have been here multiple times and found it nice to be on the second floor. Low and behold I came in today and found out that they closed the entryway of the stairs and elevator to get to the second floor. Stating that it is unsafe to go up to the second floor. So with that, there were a ton of people just doing cardio machines on the first floor. There is also a small 30-minute section as well. Overall not happy that they closed the upstairs. read more

Time to update my review on the San Dimas location. I mean, it's been 6 years. I've recently visited and I must say San Dimas PF has to be the cleanest location I've ever been to. I was greeted by Jaydon at the front desk who is friendly and kind. I usually head into the restrooms/lockers first to put my stuff away and it's always on point. Toilets, mirrors, floors, sinks are sparkling clean and it doesn't smell like ass. There's a vending machine for necessities. Depending on what time you go, the gym isn't particularly crowded. I've never had issues waiting on equipment. There's always enough paper towels and spray. The people who work out aren't annoying meatheads who grunt when they lift and the clientele are not ghetto. There's plenty of parking as well. I really like this gym and have recommended people to work out at the SD location over the years. read more

I'm really disappointed with the equipment maintenance at this Planet Fitness location. Today, only one stair machine is working, while three others are marked "temporarily out of order." One of those has been broken for weeks--if not months--which makes me wonder if they even have a serious plan in place to keep their machines in working condition. There needs to be more supervision of free weights. There's a few narcissists who gather several sets of free weights as if they are the only people at the gym. They babysit and are rude if you ask to borrow, as if you are causing the inconvenience. Yesterday I saw a guy with his 11-year-old son using the free weights and they must have collected about 4 sets of dumbbells and their bench was positioned only a couple feet from the heavier weights. They also had their gym bags on the floor so it was quite the nest of nonsense. Management needs to have stricter enforcement of gym etiquette because that was a disaster. Use your weights, time your rests, and only collect as many weights as you have hands. So, unless you identify as an octopus, that number should only be two (occasionally less, but never more). read more

Black card is a scam, you have to pay to downgrade! If you want to upgrade your membership it's free. That way if you ever run into financial trouble down the road they have you locked in their black card membership. But if you reeeeeaaaaally want to just go back to paying less. You have to give them over 2 months of a black card membership upfront first! This does not get included in your annual fee!! Emailing them did not help they just copy pasted instructions for how to downgrade from their website. Also they do the scumbag gym move where you have to downgrade and cancel your membership in person. Corporate nonsense from a gym that already has a bad fitness reputation. I'm in a DPT program and I can assure you that I will steer anyone in my cohort, the year above and below me, as well as any future patients away from this franchise. read more

Update, 6/23/25: As a TravelingDoulaNCS.com, I've been to many Planet Fitness locations across the country. Of all the locations, only three staff members have gone above and beyond in providing stellar attention to detail in their cleaning both on the gym floor/equipment, Black Card Spa, and women's bathroom. Two of them were at the South Broadway/Littleton, CO (in 2023-24) and, after being in Chicago for the last month on contract, I met the third, Nancy, here at this location today. I went into the bathroom and noticed the freshly clean floors and sink/mirror areas; and then came out of the bathroom stall to see her spot treating the bathroom walls. I asked her name and profusely thanked her for the quality care and attention she was giving to the cleanliness of her workplace. I went out and sang Nancy's praises to Manager Briana. When I left this location over a month ago, it was dirty; but I'm so glad to return to my homebase gym knowing Nancy has this place cleaned spick and span! Side note: Prior to my leaving town for my previous Postpartum Doula contract, I forgot to update my review on the new machines they brought in as well as the reconfiguration of the equipment on the gym floor - LOVE it - with the exception of a couple machines that directly face each other instead of all facing the same direction. Today I noticed the sign saying that even more be equipment is coming - AWESOME!! If I can put my 2cents equipment request in for a sissy squat and a incline plank, those would be phenomenal additions too. Even the machines are respectfully, appropriately, and, as a female, modestly placed. Weights are always reracked and all the machines are wiped down by most members and the proactive, attentive, warm, friendly staff. It can get "busy" but the place never feels crowded. You can tell the members appreciate, respect, and follow suit on the way this location is managed. I can't say enough positive things about this location, their staff (HUGE shout-out to the early morning crew!!!), and positive vibe environment they've built for the members to enjoy. I'm a member of the San Dimas planet fitness and I had a very uncomfortable experience. There was a worker white male with 3 crosses on his neck who was very inappropriate. He getting close to women as they were working and he would approach my 16 year old daughter and kept talking and asking her questions. I had to ask him several times to leave us alone and I noticed he would approach other women and get super close in their personal space. I just got a very uncomfortable feeling around him and I hope that management takes this serious as women should feel comfortable coming in to work out in a safe environment and not feel this uncomfortable feeling. Nice gym, I've been to many, many gyms over the years. The gym is clean and not very crowded, love it. What I don't like is the young kids and females in hoodies (kid trend) camping out on equipment for 40 minutes tic tocking between sets really sucks. My only concern is the showers all have mold in them and bugs (gnats) flying in the showers and crawling on the shower walls. Awesome Planet Fitness. Spacious parking lot out front. Great vibe, spacious, and bright. The second floor was surrounded by windows which really opened up the room and allowed a lot of natural light in. This 2-story PF is well equipped with numerous cardio machines on both floors, free weights and machines upstairs; and an ab area, 30- minute workout area, Black Card area and locker room on the first floor. The only thing missing was the Olympic bench press. The entire gym (including the female locker room) was modern, clean, and functional. The locker room had 4 showers and 2 dressing stalls. Staff was friendly. This PF was very different from the others I've visited. In general, I've liked them all, some better than others. This one earned a 5 for this visit. read more

He showed me the tanning machine & the total body enhancement machine which is like the red light therapy ( which I pay $50 each session at a different massage clinic). All these amenities you get free with a black card membership! What a savings! I give 5 star for Peyton & Desirae for being so nice, accommodating & very welcoming. Each equipment has a QR code to help /guide each client on how to use the equipment & what muscles are being targeted. I am a nurse so cleanliness is a top priority on my list & WOW! The staff are friendly and, unlike most other facilities, they keep the place nice and clean for us. The best part of all of it is that this place a larger than the most, two stories. I've been to other locations, San Dimas by far gets my 5 stars. It's the cleanest facility and is not crowded when I train during my lunch hour. After cancelling my membership IN person in Feb of 2019, I am now all of a sudden being charged again after two years. When I called they asked for my cancellation number, of course I do not have that as it has been 2 years! They said they stopped charging during COVID however they have reopened over 6 months ago and started getting charges. This month it was $39.99 plus some random fee. I called and finally got ahold of the manager Ashley and she said she cannot help me as I have to come in person to cancel. Umm, I cancelled 2 years ago, but since I dont have a Cancellation number, they wont do anything for me. I am going to call my bank and dispute the charges.
