The gym is an independently owned gym with really nice owners. They have some exercise machines, weight lifting machines, free weights and other gym equipment for your workout. The gym is very clean. I have been seeing Charlotte for over a year now. She is great and almost like my personal therapist too! My confidence is so much better. And I no longer fear the gym or dread working out. Unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing, particularly when it comes to customer service. The issues began when my young son was invited by a friend (who is a member) to play basketball. Each visit was a challenge, even when we followed the rules and paid the guest fee. The staff at the front desk was often unfriendly. On one occasion, I was told the person assisting us was new and not yet trained. Things escalated when I received a voicemail informing me that my son could no longer visit because he had exceeded the allowed number of guest passes. I was surprised by this and called in to ask if I could purchase a full-day pass for him to play for just one hour. The front desk staff declined and said I was welcome to explore membership options. She tried transferring me to the membership representative--twice--but no one answered or returned my call.My husband eventually called and was able to speak to the membership person right away. After agreeing to a membership, he told me to go ahead and bring our son in. When we arrived, the same front desk person questioned my young son directly, asking him whether he was allowed in. I was honestly shocked by this level of treatment.While this facility is gorgeous and extremely convenient, the lack of professionalism and the poor customer service left us very disappointed. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as it could be a truly great place with the right team and training in place.

It opens at 5am which is a big plus for an early bird like me. I can get there at 5, workout for an hour, and still get to work by 630. Loves it! The locker room is great here. There are a couple of showers to use post workout with locked lockers and a bench for changing. Plus a hot sauna! That's a big bonus here! I have yet to use the hot sauna but I have my eye on it to try out this week. There is a weights section which I haven't yet touched and a nice cardio section. There are a couple treadmills and a bunch of other cardio machines. They got what I need and that's a good thing. Plus a big LCD screen so I can watch my WGN morning news while I workout. Yep, I'm a fan and will keep coming back here. No need to get an expensive monthly membership at Lifetime or XSport for me!

All of the cardio machines have virtual workout screens, for example, you can bike in downtown Chicago or run in the Alps...neat stuff that helps combat boredom. There is a machine bench press, fly/back machine, bicep machine, both leg machines, a multi use machine (pull ups/triceps, pulley string style with interchangeable handles), and free weights up to about 50 lbs. And you can't tell me they do that else where cause i've never been charged an extra fee to pay my bill auto pay .

It's pretty recessed into the hotel so if parking is somewhat full, you'll be walking a lot to get to the actual gym which is located in the basement. The pool is OK size but I am not a fan that there are windows on all sides of the pool, especially in the main office building their pools from Florida ceiling that overlook the pool. There is zero privacy, especially with people caulking through the window windows while you were trying to swim or relax. I also did not care for that. The entire gym just felt like you were going to work out in grandma's basement. It has a smell about it like an old library. The feet to join the gym of $65 was a good price, but I just felt like I would be depressed the whole time I was there

The studio is very well kept, the machines are amazing, the trainers are so helpful, knowledgeable & encouraging. The owner of the studio, Kathy, is easy to work with. They even have an app available to schedule sessions. It's an amazing way to get a beneficial strength training work out in a quick 20 minute session, twice a week. The studio trainer went through the various options to choose from - personal one on one coaching, which is excellent (especially starting out) There are also time frames for small group sessions with the trainers available for help. They offer monthly memberships at different levels as well as options to purchase packages for a certain number of sessions. The workout is quite impressive! I would suggest making an appointment to stop by and check them out - once you meet the trainers and try the machines, you will want to go back. The twenty minute strength training experience is so effective & can easily fit into a busy schedule.
