MANY ISSUES WITH THIS PLACE 1. Missing equipment ALL THE TIME 2. SO DIRTYYYYYY there's not one clean room in the place, dust bunnies everywhere, along with globs of hair and dirt 3. Charged me for my annual fee and then an extra $59 on top they said this was because my primary payment was declined and it had to default to my credit card and it takes six days for it to do so. how's that my fault I had a secondary payment added to avoid this!! 4. They make it incredibly difficult to cancel ur membership it's so hard to find in the app and if you wanted to cancel over the phone you can't you need to go in and sign something. There isn't much of a review to write about planet fitness. Mainstream gym for a decent price not the best equipment but absolutely enough for a solid workout, especially if you are starting out. Staff is respectful and friendly so no issues there. The only reason I am rating this a 3 star is in the 2 -3 months I have been coming here, and I usually come 6 days a week, there have been numerous occasions probably 3-4 where the gym wasn't opened on time, I don't mean bt like a few minutes, I mean sometimes hours. Not sure if it's a staffing issue, or just burn out employees that are trying their best to get it done, but I can say it's super frustrating when you try and get a workout before work and find out it's closed. read more

I have been a member of the souderton PF club for a couple years. I LOVE that club. It's very large and not so bright. Great staff. Great equipment. . Because of divorce I was forced to move away from my souderton club and into the Warminster club. I used to love coming to Warminster years ago. I remember it was much bigger and better equipment. There used to be a second floor with a staircase. It's just not as good as I remembered. I don't know why they would make it so much smaller and get rid of an entire floor. I tried Doylestown and that club is very small too. I always loved planet fitness. Maybe I outgrew it. None of the locations where I moved meet my needs the way souderton location did. read more

For $9.99/month you cannot beat the price. There is plenty of cardio equipment. The dumbells and barbells are a bit limited but it's not too busy when I go so it isn't a problem. The lockers and bathrooms are very clean. Unless they up the price I'll be a long time member. read more

This location is convenient because it's close but I love tanning and the beds are not always clean. There's hair under the glass and sometimes they're sticky from the previous person. Sorry but it's true. It's small but I like the layout and you kind of get some privacy in the corners. The bathrooms are always clean which is always nice. Nothing like being a part of a gym for so long, where you felt comfortable, loved going and met people. Then one day everything changes and you walk into a "judgement free" zone and your judged and mistreated by some not all but some of the employees. What a feeling of insecurity, sadness and frustration going to a place that was considered a happy place and now it's not. I joined six months after the place opened due to an unbelievable promotion of $99 for 1 full year of membership. Mmhmm. No hidden fees, no nothing more for 1 full year. Awesome! Then, after that 1 year, it was only $10 a month. What?! Yes! $10 a month. If you're looking to work out on the cheap, you won't find a better deal. I know, I tried when I moved from Warminster to Fairmount (I still go here because I work in Warminster). Anywho, prices aside, this is a great place to work out for those of you (read: us) that don't like to be hassled at the gym. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but no one is all up in your business. It is encouraged to get help from the trainers in the beginning -- they have sessions on lifting for legs, arms and I think abs -- but it's not necessary; as a track/XC star in high school (I, um, use the term 'star' very, very loosely) I know how to lift properly so I skipped the intro sessions. Big space, two levels, lots of equipment, big locker rooms and a room with 2 massage chairs. About two dozen-ish treadmills, equal number of ellipticals, half a dozen bikes (regular and reclining), two sets of lifting machines, circuit training and free weights. In front of the cardio area they have flat screens playing ESPN, CNN, ABC, NBC, Fox, and a smattering of other stations. Membership has been growing steadily, but I wouldn't say the place is overcrowded. When I go, it's in the mornings before work -- I show up about 8AM (I don't until 10AM) and very rarely do I not get a machine I want. I went one time after work and won't do it again, but only because I'm spoiled with the less busy morning shift. Weekends are less busy in the morning, too. Though you can work out just about any time you like as this Planet Fitness is open 24 hours a day 5 days a week (Monday through Friday) and until 7PM on Saturday and Sunday. You can do all your billing online, too, which is pretty sweet. read more

I know that this is a "no judgment zone" but there was an old man who smelled like rancid onions and what appeared to be a 5'6 homeboy wearing shorts to his ankles, a beater & yelping "another rep, bro" . Not my cup of tea. The machines were SUPER packed in such a small space. To get around them, you'd better keep your butt on that treadmill because you need to be a size 2, and pray to baby jesus you don't get smacked in the head with an elliptical handle. The bathroom/dressing room was nice - that's why this place gets even one star. 1 out of 5 people wiped off machines. Gross. Oh, I came here as a guest (thank god) and once I was done signing in, sans email, a staff member jumped up from behind the counter and said with major attitude "ummm can you just put your email down please" No, no I cant. I asked why and he said "because we need it" You didn't even check my ID. I responded "I only have a work email at the moment, and i don't want to give it out and I don't want to receive spam/invitations from you guys" He said, "Just make one up". Neat, Planet Fitness. I've been a member since they opened in the shopping center back when they had free weights. The gym is poorly ventilated and has limited machines. It's good for cardiovascular workouts and some lifting. The Smith machine is the best thing they offer. Small gym but great atmosphere. "No judgement zone" and affordable prices make it easy for a gym virgin to join comfortably. Clean for the most part, but a few things made the gym as a whole lacking: -CRAMPED: The machines are packed into the small area and give a claustrophobic feel. -HOT: You can't see through the windows of the entrance because they are steamy. The gym itself is very hot and there are no fans to cool the place down. -STAFF: Only a couple of people are on duty and usually difficult to find if needed. Not that I need anyone to hold my hand during a workout, but I'd like to be able to ask a question and get an answer when needed. I loved this place when I was much younger, but I've moved on to bigger and better gyms. Plus, my workouts here feel more like high school reunions. read more

I absolutely detest this gym. I have been to multiple other PF locations and this one is by far the absolute worst. Unfortunately I have no other options on the weekends as this is the closest to where I live. Unless your going in the middle of the night this place is ridiculously packed. There is ZERO ventilation. Some people stay on machines forever and don't re-rack or even clean their machines it's beyond disgusting. Anytime I ever want to tan I can't. I have given up at this point because there is always a wait and I refuse to sit there for 15 minutes when I have better things I could be doing. There are only a few staff who are pleasant (the one younger guy and the girl with curly hair) the rest are really grumpy most of the time. I've been a member for more than 2 years. At first, I really didn't like it here; there's no one I know & it seemed like a cold gym where you just go and exercise. It took a while to realize that the staff wants to leave you alone. If you ask them questions, they're friendly & helpful. I get it now and 'No Judgement' works for me. There is a mix of young & old and I have no problems using equipment mornings or afternoons. I don't go at night and I don't use it much in the Summer where it sounds like it gets hot. Duh! 9.13.14- I like this gym's renovation! However, this Planet Fitness is missing some serious ventilation! A guest that I brought with me pointed this out a few minutes after working out. And I have to admit, when you come to do anything that raises your heart rate...you'll feel the lack of proper ventilation that most Planet Fitness locations offer. Specifically, those giant ceiling fans. I thought those things were just for show. Nope...they really are essential. To the credit of this gym, though, they finally offer tanning. I remember they weren't able to offer tanning (beyond the Red Light machine) due to a tanning salon that was in the shopping center. Although I have not had a chance to try out the tanning at this place, I did notice their sign advertising they now offer the service. read more

Planet Fitness has only been a great place for me to head to when I'm feeling like a couch potato, but the reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because I feel that the price you pay, you can get more for your money elsewhere. For starters, no one really attends to the classes that they have, so it's kind of awkward if it's just you and the teacher. Comparing to The Edge fitness, The Edge provides TONS of equipment for use, a theater with equipment, classes that people actually join, and free private training. To start, I had been a member since 2011 and really enjoyed going to this gym. I went through a lot of transition in my personal life and found that, in the beginning of my membership, that it was my sanctuary. All of that was prior to the renovation. This year I found that after the renovations, everything was entirely too cramped. I understand that maybe they were trying to get more machines to facilitate volume, but you can't cut off your nose to spite your face. I felt as though the only time I could workout without dealing with crowds was in the morning (which did me just fine due to work). I had a major issue with my account being delinquent and realized that it was on me to address that. But when I came in one day to address it, the "manager on duty" essentially was yelling at me about my overdue balance and his staff standing behind him were staring at me in horror. I felt completely disrespected and his main focus was repeatedly saying that if I worked out and I didn't take care of it right then and there he would lose his job. Well, instead of pulling me aside to have a normal adult conversation, he humiliated me. I explained that I had lost my job and was struggling to stay above water financially and really enjoyed going to the gym to get my mind off of all of the stress. I explained to him that I understood my responsibility financially but he wouldn't even listen and just kept yelling. By the time he stopped yelling I decided to just leave the gym. I was in tears and had never been treated that way by someone in a gym. Everyone has stress in their lives...I get it. I didn't want a pity party, just a mature human being to talk to so I could fix the problem. I don't recommend this gym to anyone. I felt judged by him more than anyone in that gym and am disgusted that he would even be a manager at this establishment. I don't know what his name was, but what I can tell you is that he is relatively tall/average height, bearded and never cracked a smile unless it was to a beautiful girl. So much for "no judgement zone". One positive I MUST report is that the young lady who works very early in the morning with long curly hair is the most friendly and sweet staff I'd ever dealt with at Planet Fitness and should be the one in charge. read more

Wondering about the unfavorable posts. . . Never have an issue getting a machine. 35+ treadmills, 28 ellipticals, numerous other cardio machines, two or three of each weight machine. Never had an issue with employees. Never seen the gym dirty. Not my kind of music, but seems to be a PF corporate feed. I am probably one of the guests who (in the words of one reviewer) make it seem like a retirement home gym. Perhaps the "jocks" should go to a Gold's gym or such. (And maybe not sit at a machine for half an hour only texting exercising finger. Others may want to use the machine.) All is well at PF Warminster. read more

I joined this place 6 months ago. A fairly clean place and I have had a chance to explore most of their equipment on the floor. Not a very fancy place like LA Fitness but for the 10$ a month, you can't expect that kind of setup. This place have just about anything you want and need for a total work out but not the latest and finest, top of the line when it comes to equipment... The place is not very busy during the day but before and after work, it's a different place. Nice gesture but I still don't get it yet, every Monday night, they brought in a stack of (maybe) 10 large pizzas for anyone who doesn't care about 'carb' to have some while you are trying to burn some (I guess!)... read more

This has to be one of the worst gyms in the area. First all the machines are cramped together and forget about using it in the evening. You have to fight to get weights. Also it seems like everyone who belongs is either about 16 years old and there to socialize. I even had an older woman tell me I was going "too fast" on the treadmill. I told her I was training for a marathon. Had the nerve to ask me why! Just rude. Also the most unqualified trainer ever!! She told me that I was too heavy to be a runner. So much for judgement free zone! I needed a place to just lift upper body only at lunch time (been lifting for 40 years), figured at lunch time could do quick 30 minutes. I asked if it was OK if I lifted with my rubber sole work boots because i only have a 30 minutes at lunch. The young lady at the counter flatly said no that's not allowed. Funny thing is I guarantee that if i didn't ask I could just walk in an do it anyway. The customer service sucks and the manager jen gave me a nasty look and rolled her eyes at me when I tried to ask a question. The equipment is just okay nothing special, my college gym is better than this and it's free back at school. Once my membership is done with I'm not going to renew because of the horrible customer service. They need to treat their customers better. read more

This place is horrible! The music is junk and so loud! It assaults you as soon as you walk in the place. They got rid of one of the torso machines so now there is constantly a line for the only one they do have. The manage told me to complain to corporate, that there is nothing she can do about it. Went to their website and there's no place to contact corporate. It's obviously that "corporate" doesn't give a flying bleep about this place. And yesterday I almost passed out because it was 68 degrees in there. Why are gyms so cheap when it comes to air conditioning? You cannot have a gym that warm! read more

I come here often since I live really close. It's an okay gym, love how it's cheap and great for amateurs who are starting off. I don't like how small and cramp the place is. It's humid and you can get overheated quickly. I feel disgusted cause most people don't really wipe off the machines, and one of the staff is rude. I plan on moving to South Philadelphia in a couple months and I've been to the plant fitness there and it's so much better than this one. The locker room was hard to find in the back. The whole gym is very dark and cramped without windows. Ventilation also seems to be a problem. There were additional machines on the second floor. Not a bad gym for the are. LA fitness is right down the street but regardless this gym still stays busy. As far as planet fitnesses go this one is a relatively bigger one. Can I give this location minus 5 stars....because I would. Where do I begin? Twice a "trainer" told me that deadlifting is frowned here. I wasn't dropping the weights and he said I was making some people feel uncomfortable with all the weight I was putting up. It was only 290. Were people judging me? Your machines are so close to each other that I swore someone was in my back pocket using my phone. The other day I had a guy leaning on the smith machine asking me "when would I be done"? Then when I was finally finished, he loaded up the bar with 200 pounds and proceeded to take selfies of himself next to the machine. Oh did I forget to mention that he didn't even lift....just wanted to post on Instagram that he was @ the gym. I shouldn't complain because my job pays for my planet fitness membership but I'll stick to the one in the Northeast. read more

Every time I go into this gym (granted it after midnight every time) there is never anyone at the front desk. I do not feel welcomed and I can't even buy a water! I understand people need to clean up but I was at the gym for more than an hour and never saw anyone behind the desk. There was trash everywhere as well, so I don't know who was there. Ventilation is horrendous. I cannot breathe; I don't have bad allergies. There are out of order signs on something in every section. Women's locker room is half lit and I have to go to the bathroom in the dark. A lot of fixing needs to be done and management needs to get it together. read more
