No Air Conditioning--just as mentioned in many other reviews, and still no improvement! Since I joined the gym, I haven't seen the AC working properly--it feels like it's either set to fan mode or to a very high temperature. Without proper AC, the air inside is hard to breathe--extremely humid from constant disinfectant spraying and the heat generated by people exercising. I reached out to the staff multiple times and was told the AC doesn't work well because of the weather--which makes no sense. Management is clearly aware of the issue, as on another occasion, staff mentioned that the manager had called them to ask about the AC. Also, there are several responses from the Business Manager at Customer Service here, under the corresponding Yelp reviews bellow, so hopefully, they'll start addressing the AC issue directly, rather than relying solely on the Social Media Response Team--which makes no sense. I just hope this ongoing AC issue gets resolved soon--it's obvious that staff, management, and Yelp users all know about it by now. I'd be happy to post an updated review once it's fixed. read more

The music. It's SO LOUD. And get this - it cuts out. Over and over again. The LOUD music shut off every 30 -60 seconds, repeatedly on a never ending loop of awful. The front desk can't turn it down, change the channel or do anything to fix the broken sound system. I'm visiting from out of town, thank god this isn't my "home" gym. The owner of this gym needs to wake up and take care of the broken sound system. The owner clearly does not care about the hard working people who pay for their memberships here. Terrible. read more

I'm not sure what Department in the Town of Woburn or State of Massachusetts is responsible for health codes and safety but nobody from either has ever been here, or at least not left with something in their pockets. Hot water running through the toilets. Showers dripping or just turned off, shower heads dangling or broken altogether . Water from the fountains is a nice gray color. Nothing wrong here. : Equipment is constantly broken. A sign goes up on a piece for a few weeks then is taken off with nothing being done only to go thru cycle again in another month. Lockers are in shambles, you're fortunate to get one to close let alone being able to lock it. Sink facets similar to showers in functioning albeit more pressure and cleaner than the shower area in which you really are rolling the dice on contracting a bacterial infection. PFs are not expensive nor high frills but they should be clean and functioning. This location most definitely is neither. read more

Whenever I travel and go to different planet fitness locations, I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt. There's a labor shortage and nothing has really been the same for a while. But this place just did not really cut it for me. It felt pretty small compared to most of other planet fitness locations that go to even though it's located in a giant business park. The locker rooms were also kind of tight and just not that taken care of. The whole place felt a bit old and I like planet fitness because I feel like they try to keep their facilities looking fresh and not dated. Staff here was mildly friendly but they definitely were ignoring a lot of the faux pas that are not supposed to happen at planet fitness. Some guy was lifting without his shirt on which is a big no-no but they never came around to say anything. They spent a lot of time at the front desk which is through a little archway so it would be hard to see the whole facility from there. If they got out a little bit more, they might be able to do what planet fitness does best while enforcing the no gymtimidation environment. read more

I have a black card and I travel for a living so I'm at a lot of these gyms. I never complain about dirty showers or cold water because I'm sure the people who work this job don't make enough. But this is the worst experience I have ever had at a planet fitness. I can't even give the names because the guy at the front desk refused to give them to me. He would only tell me Mark Douglas. I showed up at 11:50PM to take a shower. At 11:59 I texted my friend that I was getting in the shower. The water was pretty cold so I was in there less than 15 minutes. Maybe two seconds after I shut the water off I heard "Hello?" And so I said "Yeah?" And a man asked me how much longer I would be. I said I'm not sure I just turned the water off. Then he proceeded to go off about how long I had been there and how he had a job to do and was extremely rude. So I had to rush and throw my clothes on and get out of the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom the man was like "Oh there was another girl in there." I never saw another girl. But I was in there less than 20/25 minutes. I rushed out of there because I had already been treated poorly and yelled at for SHOWERING I didn't feel like listening to them backtrack. I would've liked to have been able to brush my hair and put on some moisturizer, but I will do that in my car. I called the front desk at 12:25AM from my car to get the names and the front desk clerk was extremely rude saying that I must have heard him wrong and that they thought they were talking to the "other girl." I don't care whether they thought it was me or not, no one deserves to be rushed out of the bathroom. It's literally what I'm paying for is the shower. I don't use this gyms equipment. I will be calling this location again in the morning because this was completely unacceptable. read more

I think I'm done with this location. It's a run down and the equipment is old. There's no ventilation. It takes forever for broken equipment to be repaired. The hand grips on the machines smell bad. There's always pins missing from the machines so you can't adjust the weight. Garbage is always overflowing with used paper towels. The owner should be ashamed of taking monthly dues from clients while providing such a dump. The staff is nice and that's about it. read more

I'm a huge fan of the Woburn Planet Fitness. The staff is great--very friendly, and they take good care of the place--and the clientele is a nice mix of everyone. It truly is a "judgement" [sic] free zone, with plenty of cardio machines and enough weight equipment for everyone, plus it's super cheap and there's no contract. DON'T go if you want classes or lots of frills. This is all about cardio and weights, and lots of purple and yellow neon walls. You don't get anything else, apart from some nice plasma tvs and abundant parking... if you consider those amenities. They do actually have a pizza night and a bagel morning once a month each, which seems to sort of defeat the purpose of working out. The atmosphere at this gym was so great that it inspired me to use it like 5x a week and I wound up getting into much better shape. I had to cancel my membership recently because I moved across the country but I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

By far one of THE worst planet Fitness I've ever been to across the country. If I can give a negative star I would. Missing so many things compared to other PF. Specially WiFi, everyone uses that for entertainment while working out. To bad that when I visit the area, I have to go to this location. This gym needs a little more love so here is my attempt at raising PF Woburn's star percentage. I have been a member at this location for three years and truly enjoy working out here. Keep in mind this is a no-frills, "get in and get it done" gym with memberships as low as $10 a month. This Planet Fitness location recently upgraded its interior with the addition of brand new machines. Before the upgrade I probably would have offered no more than three stars as the older equipment had seen better days, but I feel the addition of the new machines was a major improvement. For $10 a month PF Woburn offers all the machines necessary for a complete muscle-toning and cardio based workout plan including weight machines, free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, and more. There is also a private mat area for stretching and a few massage chairs for post workout relaxation. I appreciate the layout in comparison to other gyms due to the fact all machines face the opposite direction of the entrance. The forward facing set up allows for less eye contact with fellow gym goers. I tend to feel a little shy when too many eyes are on me so I feel more comfortable entering the gym and navigating around the machines with this layout. This gym is a bit more dimly lit than other Planet Fitness locations I have been to, but personally I prefer less lighting. The TVs are mounted high and somewhat far away which may be an issue for some. The gym usually appears pretty clean despite all the sweaty bodies. The air can feel a bit stuffy especially when busy, but I suppose this is normal for any gym atmosphere. Yes it is low key and a little dark, but I always feel comfortable here and that is important to me. The staff is friendly enough and will greet you upon arrival. This location never seems overcrowded and the machines I need are available without a wait. If you are looking for group classes, swimming pools, and saunas this is not the place for you. Planet Fitness Woburn does, however, offer a very convenient, effective, and affordable workout option. read more

I've been a Planet fitness member for almost 10 years. I go to them all over the place. Today I had the worst customer service experience at this gym. Went for a run, asked where the water fountain was, was told it was in the construction area and not accesible. So I asked if I could get a water from the cooler, the assistant manager told me it was $1 dollar, since I'm a black card member. I did not have my wallet since I was just doing a quick run and so I said that. I asked if there wasanyway I could get some water and the AM just looked at me and shrugged and kept saying it would be $1. I was totally shocked that first off they would block the water source at a gym, it's not only dangerous, people get dehydrated while working out! But also what awful customer service!!! It seriously would have cost planet fitness a $1 to provide a long time member some water this one time. This was really such an awful experience I would highly recommend not going to this location. This Planet Fitness is smaller and seems to be more outdated than several other PFs I have visited. The are tons of cardio machines (I've never had to wait) but this establishment is definitely lacking in variety. Cardio-wise, there are only treadmills, ellipticals, and a few upright and recumbent stationary bikes. I would LOVE to see this gym get some Arc-Trainers as all of the other PFs I've been to have had. These are the best cardio machines and I'm surprised to not see them here. The other thing that really bothers me is the tiny, almost nonexistent stretching area. There are two mats in a small corner walled off area of the gym, and it's almost impossible to do stretching or body workouts there, especially if there is anyone else inside. This definitely needs to be rearranged. All that being said, I really do like coming to this gym. There are plenty of different weight machines and free weights available, and I love the PF Express 30 minute circuit training area. The tanning booths are great and the massage chairs are awesome. Staff members are really friendly and there is a lot of parking. The members are friendly and courteous. Not bad at all for $10 or $20 a month. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that this gym soon gets a remodel or update to bring it up to par with a lot of other Planet Fitness locations. read more

Great gym in my opinion. I highly recommend joining any Planet Fitness gym: they're very cheap in comparison to other gyms, have an abundance of aerobic equipment, and offer free weights as well. What's not to love? I am a black card member (I normally go to the Burlington gym), and am highly satisfied with PF. Now for the Woburn gym's specifics. This gym is marvelous! I love the fact that it is 24 hours! I've come here on occasions where I felt like I overate during a late dinner, so having this gym around is great. The gym is stocked with aerobic equipment, so you'll never have to sit and wait for a machine to free up. The gym is clean and the equipment is in great shape. You won't be running on treadmills from the 80's, that's for sure. They also have TV's lined up, so you can just plug in your headphones to the wireless receiver and listen to the TV. I guess my only real gripe about this gym is the lack of an aerobics room (like the one in Burlington). I like to have space to do my sit ups and jump ropes, but that's OK. I don't particularly care for this, but the gym also lacks aerobics instructors. So basically, you need to devise a program suitable to your needs and do everything yourself. If you join PF, and live near the area, this is one of the better Planet Fitness gyms to go to (unlike the neglected Watertown location, which I felt was just horrible). read more

I've had the joy of coming here b/c the boobs running my primary planet fitness (somerville) have both the old/new gyms closed @ the same time, Note on Somerville PF - it's a nice touch when you show up to your gym & are greeted with "weyah closed, but you have the convenient location of dorchestah or woobun (both 10miles away, and we're in somerville). What the f*ck? That being said, these guys in Woburn are supposedly open 24 hours. It's VERY basic (I don't think there's any group exercise rooms), it's basically a bunch of cardio in a chain link fence w/all the lifting machines around the outside. It just opened so it's new/clean & very cheap ($10-20/mo). The only cardio they have are treadmills, orbitals & bikes, no stairmasters or total body cross trainers. But what do you expect for this cheap & open 24 hours? Again, think very basic & you can't go wrong. read more

I haven't been to a planet fitness that I haven't really liked. You can go and work out and never feel intimidated!! Great for all levels of training. Only $10.00 a month..a bargain. One negative is that you do get charged once a year a $20 plus membership fee... that part of the contract is not well explained when you sign up.
