    The ink pen mark they promised to remove or replace

    We live in Douglas County and had free oil changes for life on our Honda Accord at Planet Honda. While waiting for an oil change, the environment is nice. Snacks and drinks for guests. We wandered up to the showroom. Three hours later, we walked out with papers to the new electric Honda Prologue. Great car! Our sales person Chad promised things that never happened or that our car didn't come with: 1) Free driver interior door replacement because ours came with a 2" ink mark they couldn't get out 2) Free adapter to use at Tesla chargers 3) Retractible cargo cover 4) All-weather cargo trunk liner Regarding #1 the pen mark - we bought the brand new car sight unseen. Planet Honda didn't have the interior we wanted but could get it from another dealership. When it came in, it had the 2" ink mark. He promised to make it right. The car is a lease so having an ink mark matters!! We drove out there twice for the Detailers to work on it to no avail. Chad promised to order and replace the door interior. We called and emailed numerous times to follow up on the replacement part and he would always promise to find out the status but never called or emailed us back. Turns out it was NEVER ORDERED!!! We spoke with the service dept regarding the status to learn there is no interior door part on order in their system. So Chad lied to us for 6 months! If you go to Planet Honda, maybe find a sales person who cares more about your satisfaction rather than making a sale. At this point, after having bought 4 cars from Planet Honda, we will not be making the long drive out there to give them our business. If these items get resolved, I will let you know by updating this review.

    Making a major purchase can be stressful, even more so in a pandemic. I found Planet after one of the other guys ( rhymes with chomp) majorly mislead me on a vehicle. I called one morning and Frank Buonacore answered the phone, I explained what the situation was, what I was looking for and after just a few moments of his checking he was able to tell me he could get what I wanted, but it would take a little bit of time. To make things a little easier on my he would take a deposit over the phone to hold the vehicle when it eventually came in ( 3 months later) . I decided to take a drive up to Golden from Aurora to talk things over later that afternoon. Met Frank and he gave me as much information as he could on a car that wasn't even manufactured yet. I have never bought a car site unseen. The deposit was made and I was assured that it wasn't a promise to buy, it was to hold the vehicle for me for first right of refusal when it arrived. I had one small issue that I needed to resolve. In 12 years the size of a CRV has changed and I needed to make sure it fit into my garage before I could seriously get excited at this thought of buying a new car. Frank was able to set up for me to come get an older model that was the same size and do a 24 hour test drive so I could get not only a feel for the upgrades but see if it fit into my garage. Being able to do this would lower my anxiety level considerably. This was probably the best day to have a test drive. Our Colorado weather can go from 60 degrees to a blizzard in a matter of hours as it did that day . I got to see how it would handle in pretty much all our weather conditions in 1 day and it fit in my garage. The wait was now officially on. Frank did his best to keep me in the loop on things, sent me some great information on the features of the car so I could become familiar with the massive upgrades I was getting. He humored me when I was send him notes like... Is it time yet? Then about a week ago, out of the blue he called me. It's here this week. What?!?!?!!? Yes, it was a month early. So everything went from zero to 100 mph. Frank was with me every step of the way meeting me with patience and humor which I completely appreciated. I made a few trips there because I wanted to deal in person as well as electronically. Every time I walked in I was welcome and not a bother no matter how odd my questions seemed to me. I was handed off them to Cameron to do the final paperwork. He was patience, explained things from top to bottom and didn't rush me with making decisions about the additions I wanted or didn't want. Working in customer service for many years I have come to expect maybe a bit more then most but also understand that things happen people have no control over, not matter how much they personally want to fix them they can't. There was never a moment when I got less than I expected from Planet, or Frank. I would highly recommend him to anyone.. and as a matter of fact I DID. When my vehicle was being delivered yesterday morning a friend I have in the area randomly showed up to look at a few things. Thank you Frank, Cameron and the rest of the team at Planet for making things easy and fun.

    We had a great experience purchasing our car from Planet Honda! Jeff was super friendly and worked really hard to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted (including our mugs!). He really talked us through every part of the process, even teaching us all the tech doodads on our new car. Cam worked with us on the financial end, and very patiently answered a ton of emails with questions too. Dess helped us finish the paperwork when we picked up the car, and was also patient as we reviewed every aspect of the contracts. We had a really smooth transition from the trade in to the new car, and it was all due to the wonderful staff at the dealership. Highly highly recommend Planet Honda if you're looking for a new car.

    Matt and Mitch were awesome. So were the two gentlemen who gave me a ride to and from the nearby mall during my wait. I came in for an airbag recall, quick inspection and to check a tire. Everything was complimentary, the staff was so attentive and professional. One of the best car shop experiences I've ever had. I think the best way to go is to a dealer for your needs. This location especially was memorable. I was even waiting a bit long by myself for my car and they checked on me. Some places just ignore you. I have respect for this place and will only come here. Thank you!

Bob, the owner, was so incredibly sweet to us and squeezed us in on a day that they were already fully booked when other shops turned us down for the same reason. He was able to diagnose and fix our car within an hour and took the time to walk us through exactly what happened and what to do if the car ever does the same thing. He didn't even charge us for anything! Seriously, our guardian angel! Can't recommend this shop enough.

    Brought my 2006 Honda Odyssey Minivan for a power steering leak…read more 1. Found the leak, an O-Ring between the pump and the line was leaking. 2. Couldn't find the proper O-Ring so they said they "put a better one in!" it was for air conditioning systems. 3. Decided to "buff your headlights!", without asking. I was really disappointed because I had gone through a whole buffing process and put two coats of clearcoat on them so they would last a long time. I found lots of scratches in the clearcoat and a place where it had worn through, I think they used a solvent on them, but I don't know for sure. I was very disappointed. 4. Checked the power steering fluid, it was filled perfectly. 5. Drove home, checked it again. The fluid was almost empty. They had not purged the system and so there was air in the rack, when the air bubbles came out, the fluid went way down. It should have been cycled in the rack and it wasn't. 6. Refilled the power steering fluid. 7. Over the next week, the system leaked worse than before. 8. I decided to buy a genuine Honda O-Ring and when I put it in, there was a lot more friction on the line. 9. The leak is fixed. Repair was done incorrectly, wrong part caused bad leaking, did not purge the system of air so fluid was very low and could have damaged the pump. The headlights were buffed and now I have to clearcoat them again. From start to finish, this was a messed up repair. I didn't go back or demand my money. I really don't want to see them again. A real bummer. Your mileage may vary. This could have been a very unusual event but it's an easy repair and it should have been completed properly. Also; why are they buffing customer headlights?

    I used to come here on occasion for a decade. They did a major engine repair: took five weeks,…read moreinclusive of head shop, partial rebuild, and timing belt. Within a week of pickup , car performed perhaps better than before (except fan buzz/vibration). They'd suggested a new check-engine light was due to failed NOx sensor, sure it would be covered by VW's emission warranty. This turned out to not be the case, and although they had a way to verify that (VIN + phone), they winged it, telling me it would be free with dealer, or "about $500" with Euro-Tech. I appreciated that until I learned, after hours on the phone with 3 dealers and VW USA twice, that this replacement would not be covered (VIN settles this). Euro-Tech front office rep Becky, who seemed to gate-keep against talking with owner or mechanics during the main job, took a tense, ominous tone to calls about every 10 days, such that it made me nervous (I felt there was something they weren't telling me). I eventually got to speak with owner's son, who thankfully knows how to speak with a customer well. When it was time to go pick up the car after work near the end of their 5pm close, office rep Becky was curt, hustling me to inform me that "we don't have a bunch of time to stand around and chat." Quite a thing to shovel at a customer who was paying nearly $5k and waiting over 5 weeks for the job to finish. Days later, problems related to the check-engine light and apparently-related AdBlue warning came to a head: NOx sensor they assured me would be warranty-covered (which if they weren't sure about, shouldn't have asserted covered) led to a warning the engine would not start within 200 miles. I'd updated Euro-Tech's front office rep a few times as I learned more between dealerships and VW USA directly, and landing at a dealership that instead treated me with complete professionalism at each step there forward. This Euro-Tech office rep Becky said she called some other dealership, concluding they said that this repair would be "covered" (without diagnosis, and apparently without VIN check: manual transmission model mattered, which VW cut out of the warranty Euro-Tech was so sure would provide coverage, which basic/reasonable due diligence would have revealed), but this was likely made up. I asked her to instead call the dealership I chose (McDonald), which would be bound by terms all other dealerships have to obey. In her alleged conversation with McDonald VW's service lead, there was apparent confusion about whether I had accepted any sort of "payment," which I had not, but she asserted "you took the money" (was not even offered, as has been confirmed, but she oddly chose to assert this). VW dealer service manager then quickly/shortly verified everything with VW, learning what a basic and proper investigation trail would have discovered (manual model not covered). Oops (confirmed Becky was making stuff up). Not a problem that she was mistaken, but her generally defensive and brutal attitude towards a customer that was actually still considering them for another job was a problem. I chose dealership to fix that for a similar out-the-door price, and I concluded, as long as office rep Becky is at Euro Tech, I'll not return. Had they preferred to get it right, they'd have $700+ more, and 5 stars instead of 1 (would be a 2 for the engine job, but this office problem is big enough to justify this reprise at 1).. Material facts above are all verifiable, and a few years later, I'm happy I've kept my European cars away from this shop. They may try to make snotty retaliatory comments again here too, but I know readers who've been burned by shops here and elsewhere will know to weigh this comment soberly among others like it and positive ones just the same.

I was nervous this would happen again but after going to eurotech, they quickly found the issue and fixed it for a very respectable price. I will never go anywhere else!
