Nathan came out and diagnosed my truck and was pretty spot on about the repairs needed. He got me in his shop the next day and got to work. Unfortunately, after paying over 10k he still couldn't fix it. Turns out it needed around another 14k in repairs. He also charged me several thousand dollars for parts and work that he didn't discuss with me and expected to be paid and because my truck didn't qualify for the Colorado Motor Vehicle Repair Act, he got away with it. Luckily this turned out to be an insurance claim and most of the repairs could be paid by my insurer. THIS IS WHEN IT WENT BAD. I reached out to Nathan several times to question the process to pay the current balance since insurance was involved and he didn't respond. I was just trying to pay my bill and couldn't get a response. Eventually he sent me a demand that if he did not receive payment he would not speak to the insurance company which I needed him to do since I lived over 3 hours away and was not able to be there in person. After the demand, I paid the full balance because I felt if I didn't pay for the unauthorized parts he would derail the claim. At this point my truck was awaiting more insurance review and Nathan was working up another estimate for remaining work. He then became unreachable and almost impossible to communicate with. I eventually sent a demand letter asking for a rebate on the unauthorized work and would pursue possible court action if we could not come to an agreement. He responded by saying that we should act like adults. I was acting like an adult and conducting a business transaction in which I was charged for work I didn't authorize. He then revised his estimate of work which I tried to negotiate without success. Eventually I said I would pick up the truck. He immediately slapped a $3k charge for storage on me which included weekends and days he was not open for business. The truck was still disassembled which in the first repair I paid for the tear down and assembly so it should not be returned to me in pieces. He told me that I would need to also pay to have the truck reassembled and that I should just have him finish the work since it was already apart and it would be difficult for another shop to reassemble it. Eventually we agreed on a price for repairs because this would negate the unreasonable storage fees and I thought he was over pouting about getting called out for unfair business practices. At this point he was paid and here we are 4 weeks later...zero communication, I sent several emails and texts. No responses. I finally called and was told by his secretary that she had to ask her manager and would call me back. I laughed this off knowing it wouldn't happen. Well, I had to call back the next day and was told that she didn't get to speak to him and asked if she could call back and I said, no I will wait. She said she would text him and put me on hold, 30 seconds later she came back saying she got a reply that they were waiting on parts. Quickest text ever! I laughed that off too. A few days later I drove 3 hours to see my truck and remove some belongings. When I arrived my keys were lost and could not be found. No one knew where my keys were and I was told I would get a call when they found them. It's been over a week and I still have not received a call. I have sent 2 more emails since then asking where my keys were and a date of completion. I sent an email with this review draft and got a response from Itzel, his secretary within 30 minutes saying they had found the correct DCR conversion pump and just ordered it. DCR conversion pumps are all over the internet and should not take 4 weeks to order. Well, it has been another week of dodging my calls and getting no response. Well now it has been 7 weeks. Nathan appears to be acting like his feelings are hurt and retaliating by not fixing my truck even though he has been paid in full. RUN AWAY!

Asked him, multiple times to check my ECM.. he then proceeded to work on other things I did not permit. As you will see in other reviews, I could not reach him for 8 days after having my car towed to his shop. I could only get ahold of his wife, who barely spoke English. She had no mechanical knowledge and would not let me speak to Nathan. He says you will get a full inspection "with a fine tooth comb" LIES!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY!!! He will send you text and contract via text, without ever speaking to you. I have a non working vehicle with no explanation of the charges at hand. At best he can change your tire or replace your battery. Mine as well be AAA.

During all of this time, they never called me one time with an update. Not once. They didn't tell me the misdiagnosis until way after. They didn't ask me if they could tear the car apart. After nearly three months…read moreof delays and almost $10,000 in costs, I had to tow the car and engine separately to another mechanic. Kearny Garage repeatedly promised to finish the car but failed to do so, overcharged me--including duplicate fees--lost parts I supplied, and damaged existing parts. When the second mechanic completed the work, he found numerous issues with Kearny Garage's repairs, including improperly installed new heads that allowed coolant to leak into the engine and could have destroyed it. Had Kearny Garage completed the work as it was, the engine likely would have failed immediately and required replacement. I then had to spend thousands of dollars correcting Kearny Garage's work, and I was unable to enjoy driving my convertible for months. Kearny Garage presents itself as a locally owned neighborhood auto shop, but it is actually owned by Sun Auto, a national auto service conglomerate. I also learned that the mechanic often takes shortcuts to complete jobs faster than the time billed to customers, and management appears to support that practice. The store manager was arrogant, condescending, and showed little concern for customer service. Fortunately, some locally owned automotive garages remain in the neighborhood and still value customers over profit. STILL WAITING FOR KEARNY GARAGE TO MAKE THIS RIGHT????
