One of my absolute favorite local pizza places. They have a small parking lot and street parking is nearby. There is disabled parking and a ramp to enter the establishment. You order at the counter and they bring your order to the table when it's ready. They offer beer by the bottle/can and soft drinks and tea are at the self-serve fountain. They have several tables inside and a large patio outside. I love sitting out on the patio on nice days. They usually have really good music playing as well. I have always experienced excellent service whether I am eating in or getting takeout. So they have traditional pizza combinations, and then some unique ones. There's plenty of options, including some for vegetarian and vegan. This is one of the few pizza places where I actually will eat the crust. The ingredients are top notch and I've been happy with my choices here. Despite it being a pizza restaurant, one of the stars of the show is their chopped salad. It's definitely worth a visit when in Cottleville. read more

The fall is huge and very tasty, with spinach, dried apples & cranberries, grilled chicken, and candied pecans. I just wish there was some fresh fruit or even butternut squash added to it. And definitely some goat cheese! The space is very cozy and the staff is always friendly! read more

Food tastes like it was made prior to being ordered. Came out lukewarm and when told they made the wrong pizza, they just added the toppings on a cheese pizza and put it in for another minute or so. Would not recommend. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

I visited Plank Road Pizza for the first time last week. Usually, I avoid going there on weekends because of the crowds in Cottleville. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. I particularly liked their lunch special, which seemed like a good deal. I am hesitant to go in the evening as I think it might be more expensive. My dining buddy ordered the Brick Fire Pizza chip and Salsa, but I wasn't too impressed with it. It seemed odd to have more carbs before eating pizza. I believe the restaurant could benefit from offering more creative appetizers instead of more pizza crust. However, the meal itself was fantastic. The salad was delicious and perfectly dressed. It tasted maybe like a green goddess or something similar. I would definitely go back just to have that salad again because it was that good. As for the pizza, I ordered the Hillenkammp which was all meat and it was delicious. The crust was crispy, bubbly, and had just the right amount of sauce. I really enjoyed it. Overall, I am glad I decided to try out this place. I am already planning on going back soon for their lunch special. read more

Sad to say my first experience was not great The ETA for the pizza was 30 minutes, however it took more around an hour. When we got home, it was the wrong order.. I even tried to take a bite of the one that gave me and it was very odd. I don't even know which one it was, but it had like cranberries and nuts on it with chicken and tomato and spinach. Decided to try something new and thought it looked interesting. A well kept house welcomes you with herb gardens around the property they use for their pizzas. You walk in the front room to order and get your drinks. They do have a lunch special of salad and smaller pizza. We went with the regular size pizza. The pizza took about 20 minutes or so which was expected. They bring it to your table. They have a nice large patio for outdoor dining or plenty of inside seating. Really good pizza and salad! Normally I order "light sauce," but I'd never do that here - it's so flavorful and makes this place standout. Really enjoyed the salad, too. Came on a Sunday afternoon for a solo meal. I ordered the plank road pizza (a chicken bacon club). Pros: -indoor/outdoor seating which is nice on a sunny afternoon like today, you can hear the live music next door from the patio! -the pizza was great, the flavors balanced well and you tasted each ingredient in each slice! Cons: -for this particular pizza they were out of avocados and they DEF belong on this pizza. Considering it's been months since they've had avocado (going by other reviews here) I think the price should reflect that not being an option or take it off the menu, possibly make an avocado aioli to go on top instead?
