In for World Cup game this past week with friends. Not sure if they are usually open for soccer. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food took a bit of time and was decent but average. Beer was cold and tv's aplenty.

Plank road is a typical lakewood bar. Affordable beers and cocktails and friendly bartenders. Their wings are a step above the other bars in the area. Personally, plank road is my go-to wing spot in Lakewood.

A+ Bar food in Lakewood. The burger was amazing! Exactly the way I asked for it to be cooked too. This is no scrawny little patty either. The dry rub chicken wings were freakin amazing,so were the hand cut french fries. The staff was super friendly, they had my order done in 15 min. For the same price as a trip to Five Guys, I got a better tasting, big fat cheeseburger, better french fries, and an order of AMAZING chicken wings, same price. Go support your local businesses. Great service, really cool people, freakin amazing food in Lakewood. Dont drive past this common appearing Lakewood bar. It is easy to miss from the road but you need to go eat their food, now.

Great little bar with good service and food. We enjoyed our wings and fries. We'll definitely come back to try more food and drinks. This first visit was a short one as we were bar hopping down detroit road.

Welp, Yelp. I called here as I strolled near. They claimed "best tots round here." They were right! I found a barkeep with a name so dear....Nicholas Joseph, don't you fear! The beer selection was okay, but they didn't have my favorite rosé. The tots were most likely frozen, but it was a place we had already chosen. Thanks to Nick we kept on rollin.

    Taco night delight!

One of Lakewood's best hidden gems. And the food is always good with rotating specials. Staff is always friendly and owner is a good person.

My group were supposed to go to Habesha Ethiopian restaurant for dinner and book club but they were closed so we found ourselves at PJ's Irish Pub. AMBIANCE -- Dimmer light but not too dark inside. Typical, traditional bar look and feel. Lots of booth tables plus a center bar area with chairs around it. DRINKS -- I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on their drink offerings but considering that this is an Irish Pub, they must have lots of options to choose from such as beer. FOOD -- Their menu is large with dishes such as pot pie, tacos, meatloaf, etc. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I just ordered 2 beef tacos that came with tomatoes but I forgot to ask for it to come without cheese. So, I had to remove the shredded cheese from it. There was a lot of cheese on the tacos too. The tacos were fine - simple enough and the beef tasted just right. This pub is probably more known for their drinks but I may be wrong. Everyone on my table seemed to enjoy their dinner. I noticed someone ordered meatloaf, another for a chicken pot pie, another had a big plate of broccoli with something else (the broccoli looked tasty), and so on. SERVICE (5/5) -- our group was treated well. We were greeted upon walking in plus our server took our orders at a reasonable time. PARKING -- Not the best like most places in the area because it is street parking only but I was very lucky to find a street parking spot right in the front of the pub. You can probably park at the shopping district parking lot across the street where a gas station is located. Overall, although I wasn't expecting to even visit PJ McIntyre's Irish Pub on that cold January evening, it was a nice enough experience (mostly FUN because of the book club group rather than the food). The beef tacos that I ordered were fine and a fair price (around $6.50 total). I most likely won't be back since I don't drink alcohol and I hardly visit pubs or bars for dinner. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 11/250 total reviews in 2026 - 852 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 February 2026

My waitress (Renee) immediately greeted me, she was friendly & professional and offered to take my drink order, since I was ready, she took my order, fish & chips which comes with a cup of coleslaw. The food arrived fairly quickly and I was impressed at the size of the meal. A large fillet perfectly fried and crispy. The fries were ok, but they do offer malt vinegar on the side and a the tartar sauce was good. The place definitely has that old English pub feel and appeared to be clean and orderly. I would definitely dine here again, when flying in or out of Cleveland Hopkins.

The sandwiches ($21) came with pub chips which I was good with. My husband wanted fries instead so he paid $3 more for fries. I ordered my sandwich with no cheese or aioli/mayo. I did ask for honey mustard instead and was charged $1.00 for a tiny cup of it. But did they take some money off for the removal of cheese or aioli?? The sandwich itself was good but it was on the smaller side. I can never finish a whole sandwich but I finished this one. Service was good for an airport restaurant. We did try to find a table with outlets to charge our phones and they didn't have any.
