I think one reason we get such good hospitals here in the CR/IC area is because Mercy is independent. UnityPoint has to keep investing in St. Lukes in order to stay equal to Mercy. I have been trying to get the IUD insert since 6weeks after my…read morebaby was born. my appointment has been cancelled 5times ... during pregnancy my doctor wasn't available at all in the last few months and it happened when my son was born too. but, I did get in with other doctors who were amazing. but, being my appointment rescheduled so many times its beyond crazy. the most recent rescheduled they text me the day of. like I have to take the time off for these and I do not have a second car so I have to have family take me and I'm very upset with all that is happening. the day it stormed and there was supposed to be tornadoes they closed down which is fine but I live 45 mins away and they called me 10 mins before my appointment which I was almost there at this time! I asked if I had to get IUD done there because they keep cancelling and they said an Ob has to do it and everywhere I call isn't excepting new patients especial for just the insert . My husband went in to facility with no bed sores and was discharged with a bed sore. My husband would wait sometimes 45 minutes for someone to come help him. I was there and counted the minutes. Worst experience ever for my husband. Facility was clean. Food was fine. My husband was there for skilled nursing.
