Nice staff and clean facility. Parking lot is a little shady though. Very modern trendy waiting room for a doctor's office.

I'd been casually looking for a new gynecologist since I came home from college. But severe…read moreabdominal pain lead me to seek out some more immediate attention. I called Woman to Woman just to find that they wouldn't be able to see me for another 3 weeks. I scheduled the appointment but I ended up going to an Urgent Care facility and a Planned Parenthood just so that I could be seen right away. Both experiences were very poor. So you can imagine my relief at meeting a very thorough and pleasant Dr. Toni Mason-Jones. The moment I stepped into Woman to Woman, the receptionist greeted me very pleasantly. It is a quaint little office in a large building full of other offices. It was difficult to find at first because there's nothing advertising that Women to Women is in that building. But it's in there. The office is quiet and clean. The service is speedy and attentive. And everyone I came in contact with, as the name suggests, is a woman! My bad experiences still in my head, I felt nervous. But Dr. Mason-Jones' spirit immediately calmed me. She asked me the typical, invasive questions but she did so in a way that I felt comfortable telling the truth. It felt like I was talking to a girlfriend who really cared. She was thorough but direct--careful not to waste my time or hers doing procedures that I'd already had done. I will be returning!

Where has she been all my life!…read more UPDATE - Had to actually finally move on. Getting prescription refills became a horror. Phoned in a prescription 3 times, phoned again and left messages with the receptionist and the nurse...never received a call back and never got the refill called in. If it was a drug for a minor condition, it would have been ok. It wasn't. Truly loved seeing Dr. Toni Mason-Jones as she is a thorough, caring and compassionate doctor. In the 4 years I was going, new people coming and going, but having to phone over and over to get a refill was the final straw. Again, Dr. Jones is a fab OB/GYN, but there is no way refills should not be phoned in.

Debated leaving a review, but I think it may be important for potential patients in the future…read more I had my first baby about a year and a half ago and went to Annandale OBGYN. Overall had a nice experience, but when we found out I was pregnant with our second, I realized my OB was no longer with Annandale. I decided it would be nice to try a midwife, and P&M was very close to our home. I made a 8 week appointment with Michelle Powers after hearing wonderful things. Around 6 weeks, I started spotting, and then bleeding. I called the nurse on call since it was a Saturday. She was wonderful, and had the doctor call me back, who was also wonderful. They made me an appointment on that following Tuesday, but I decided to go to the hospital in the meantime. My hospital visit was inconclusive. I ended up heavily bleeding and clotting in the days leading up to my Tuesday appointment, and I was terrified and quite certain I was miscarrying. Tuesday morning, even before the office was open, I received an automated call that my appointment was canceled. I was distraught, and waited until the office opened to call and try to get in. The scheduling woman I spoke to was so awful. She was very robotic, and said she couldn't get me in for 2 weeks. I started crying, and she just said she could get me in in a few days, but they couldn't do an ultrasound for 2 weeks. I actually said "well how can they tell if I still have a baby inside of me?" And she just said "not sure. Do you want the appointment?" I was in shock and said no. At this point I called Annandale OBGYN and they got me in first thing the next morning. I saw Katherine Shipley and she was wonderful. She was encouraging and did a full exam, ultrasound, and took blood for testing all in about 20 mins. I'll never go back to P&A, and my suggestion to people inquiring would be to avoid this practice. I am sure the doctors are wonderful, but they seem very understaffed. In the case of an emergency, it seems unreasonable that you can't be seen for 2 weeks just for a check up. The cancelling protocols also seem very impersonal. The fact that ultrasounds are so special it takes weeks to use a machine is wild. At Annandale OBGYN there are ultrasound machines on wheels in every room. I don't understand the drama around ultrasounds at P&M. After suffering a miscarriage and the horrible and cold treatment at P&M, it was traumatic to say the least. I'm sure if everything goes smooth, your experience could be great. But in the case of an emergency, they don't seem to have enough room or staffing.

The visit was generally…read morefine and I never met with the lead practitioner because well it was a simple lab work being done. Fast forward months later, I see that there's a lab claim on my insurance for $1,500+ and that it's my full responsibility. How can this be, if I went to in-service medical provider? Well, apparently this provider only uses one lab called bio-reference lab unless explicitly expressed by the patient to use another. This is the most backwards ass thing I have ever experienced. How can you as a provider not do your due diligence to see where my lab work needs to go? Why is that my responsibility. Why wait for some nonsense like this to happen, when you could tackle the issue on the front end? Now there's a huge possibility that I have to pay this large bill for SIMPLE LAB work because office assistants don't want to go the extra mile to check. It's disgusting as hell and I know this issue is a massive problem within the American Healthcare itself. Providers need to do better. I'm a 23 year old woman that is new to the healthcare insurance enrollment period (that typically occurs in September/October) so if you refer back to my date of service you could see that this is months into using my new insurance after being on my parents. Why must people advocate for themselves when providers should be doing their damn jobs to make sure things like this don't happen. I had one of the office assistants tell me that they don't check the specific labs that will accept a patients lab work. WELL, I'm requiring and urging you all to implement better practices within your office. There's no way WORKING PEOPLE should be stressed about paying medical bills due to your error and lack of care. I pray I am able to beat this, and that nobody comes after me later down the road. I'm simply not coming back here. I'm sure the doctors here do great work, but it was the lack of care from this office that has made me very very cautious of where I go now.

However, 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, I received a call stating that the copay was not necessary and that the previous information was incorrect. I was told that I could still come in for my appointment, so I did, as I was only 12 minutes away. Upon arrival, I noticed that the facility appeared outdated and poorly maintained, which made me question the quality of the testing. In the exam room, the chair looked like it hadn't been updated in decades, which caused me to question the quality and cleanliness. They used a basic Amazon scale to take my weight. Nothing up to my standard in a matter of 10 minutes. Within the appointment I requested a specific test that should have been included, but I was informed that there would be an additional charge. At this point, I declined further service and left, as I had already suspected they might try to upcharge for every service without regard for patient care. Unfortunately, my suspicions were confirmed when I later received a $35 bill for leaving. I strongly do not recommend this facility. It seems more focused on profit than on patient care. Instead of charging unnecessary fees, perhaps they should invest in updating their equipment. Might I add, no service was provided. I asked the nurse to confirm any charges before changing into the paper gown and having any service provided.

I also love the online booking system and wish more practices would offer this. I used this practice for about three years. My first visit was with a provider I don't remember, but who was perfectly fine. Next year, I booked with Dr. Andre, and had a less-than-stellar experience. She was over 30 minutes late to my appointment, after the nurse had already taken my information and set me up in the room. She scolded me for venturing out of the room to look for someone and then when she finally saw me was pretty condescending and dismissive of some concerns I had. I gathered she had to attend to an emergency right before my appointment, so as a human I can appreciate that may have been an exceptionally difficult day for her, but as a patient that doesn't make what I experience ok. I wish that would have been handled differently, even if I were just offered the chance to reschedule. Next year, I determined to schedule with someone else and was seen by Erica Lybarger. I really liked her bedside manner and found her friendly and engaging. I really appreciate her gentle approach and how dedicated she is towards helping patients manage any pain. This year I saw her again and still enjoyed meeting with her. However, after our review of some birth control methods, I went home and researched the options we discussed and found out she had misconstrued some of the side effects, avoided mentioning some risks, and left out one significant valid option. Reading both legitimate medical pages on these options as well as other patients' experiences with side effects made me uncertain I could trust the information she provides and I decided to seek a different provider based on my GP's recommendation. Ultimately, I think a patient could still have a good experience with this practice and even with both the providers I am reviewing. I just decided based on the care I received that i want to receive more reliable support elsewhere instead of trying a new provider within the practice.
