Honestly I love coming to planned parenthood for my check ups and I really feel like they really look at you as an individual. Especially for women I feel like they take real good care of you and really try to understand what's going on with your body. For most people they think planned parenthood is only for abortions but they provide so many other services!! Such as birth control, STD testing, pregnancy test, treatments and even have check ups for pregnant women. So it's way more than just a place for abortion. They provide medication for you right then and there no need to go to a pharmacy (depending on your insurance). I personally love coming to this location because they always have an appointment available. Today's visit I was in and out within an hour!! Everyone there was nice and very helpful and very informative as well! This facility is very clean like always and definitely my go-to clinic. read more

This place is truly a haven for all people. I was met with open minds and hearts upon my arrival. My insurance doesn't work with PP but I was given all the options possible to ensure that I could receive the help I needed. They worked with me and made me feel comfortable. Whoever says Planned Parenthood is just for abortions is incredibly misinformed. In the past, I received weekly mental health therapy at the Concord location as well. PP cares!!! And listens. Untimely. I made an appt online and arrived ten minutes early. They weren't planning to bring me back until 40 min after my scheduled time.

Very clean and professional facilities. Surprising for a Planned Parenthood, because its cleaner than some hospitals I've been to! The staff are also very knowledgeable and courteous. Pro Tip: If your insurance is not accepted here, be advised that their prices here in this network (Cities from here and north to SF) are significantly cheaper than compared to the Planned Parenthood East Bay Locations. I went to an East Bay location after coming here, thinking the East Bay location would accept my insurance but was later declined there for having an HMO. I ended up coming back here because the price was about half. crazy right!? Very large waiting room. There's only a couple check-in counters so that can get pretty backed up when its busy. That would probably be my only complaint from this location. read more

Terrible they treat you as if it's like a dmv or ordering food I arrive time I'm told they say u can sit first off I'm not a dog you can politely say please have a seat I'll call you when I'm ready. 10 min later I'm still sitting I'm having extreme bad side/back pain due to kidney infection I'm so nauseous and I when I called earlier to make that appointment they hung up on me this is a Fr office and the person ahead of me is talking about her cats and her weight loss meanwhile I'm dizzy and in hell of pain I'm so angry. read more

This is my second time visiting this location. The first time was amazing this time not so good very unprofessional running out of medication trying to offer me different medication that I've never taken before. Didn't even tell me my Test results until I had to ask them for it I will not be visiting this location ever again. Never had this issue at the Walnut Creek location. I want to start out by saying I love this Planned Parenthood location. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. NURSE SHAUNTIE made the whole experience something I'll never forget. She's absolutely amazing, and made me feel soo comfortable. She had my boyfriend and I laughing especially me the whole time I haven't laughed like that in a long time. I laughed soo much and soo hard I was tearing. She is the most sweetest, loving, funny, amazing, wonderful nurse I've ever had in my life. She really left an empact on me. I wish she could be my midwife for when I become pregnant because of how comforting she was. She makes you feel like family. She deserves a huge raise!!! I was so nervous going in to my appointment but she made it feel like a safe space, and was so encouraging, and patient with me. I wish I could give more stars!!! I hope I can find someone with the same energy as her. I don't think I ever will though. She is someone rare. I've had horrible experiences in the past with doctors and nurses and they seem like they hate their job, and always rushing. But with Shauntie, she'll make you feel warm and fuzzy. As a new patient to Planned Parenthood, I'm relieved and impressed by how well-run, clean, and professional the clinic is! I was in need of a TB test and wanted an STI check done. Admittedly, I was nervous to go because I am uninsured and generally have terrible experiences with most healthcare settings. Thankful my mind was put at ease immediately by a kind staff member, Carlos, who talked me through my options for care and helped me sign up for Family Pact (thank you California tax payers!) to pay for my services. My intake person was very respectful. I am queer, so I appreciated that planned parenthood asks questions that are gender-inclusive. It took less than 5 mins after my intake until a clinician saw me! This is the fastest turn around I've ever experienced. Although I still kind of hate going to the doctor, I know if I need care Planned Parenthood is my new favorite option! read more

Ok, I will review this clinic since no one else has. I think PP is a godsend. It's a wonderful organization and provides invaluable resources to people who would otherwise go without. I've supported them since I was a teenager, but never actually used their clinics until my mid-20's when I was without medical insurance and needed to keep healthy. Yes, people do go to PP for reasons other than abortions (insert eyeroll here). The ob-gyn checkups here are totally easy, painless and without discrimination. After college, when I was in an unpaid internship and had no way of seeing a doctor without shelling out money and sitting in long lines at the county hospital, there was PP. They hooked me up quickly and charged me nothing. Now that I have insurance and regular doctors at an HMO, I must admit that I preferred the treatment received at the San Ramon PP. They're good people and give good treatment. read more

I went in very nervous and I just can't believe how amazing my experience was. I would absolutely recommend going here if you need any type of help with anything. The Planned Parenthood staff in San Ramon are incredible. The office is friendly, clean and efficiently ran. The staff are "Sex-perts," and they take the time to answer all your questions and educate you on the processes. I am impressed! I had a gynecologist prior to this visit, but her office was abysmal at answering phones and responding to emails. I couldn't ever reach her. After going to PP in San Ramon, I am fully switching to their services. They are communicative and they truly care! I felt safe, educated, and supported. W O W. read more

This is my favorite planned parenthood facility. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The nurses seem to genuinely care for their patients. It is rare to share a laugh or two with a nurse or a doctor but I'm glad I found that here. Total none judgment environment. Very nice facility, however this is my second time coming where I've waited an hour and a half to be called to the back which is a very big inconvenience. And every time there's a million excuses and we're sorries. If you don't have the appropriate amount of staff don't over schedule it's literally that simple. Extremely frustrating now I'm late to everything else I have to do. I had a 10 o'clock appointment didn't get called back until 11:30 didn't leave the office until 2 pm. There's no way a 15 min exam should take 2 whole hours. read more

UPDATE: I am removing a star due to the difficulty getting my perscription. I didn't think it would be so hard to actually get them to send it to my provider. They couldn't find them in the system and were not willing to help me any more than that. After a few weeks of back and forth i had to show up in person to get a paper copy of my perscription so i could give it to my pharmacist myself- which i have never had to do. I will say, no one seemed to be interested in helping or seemed to care. Maybe a lack of funding, but i would be careful of this place if u need an urgent medication- you won't get it in time. What a beautiful healthcare facility! I had a better experience here than any OB/GYN iv ever been to. As long as i am in the bay i will be coming here. I wish i found this place sooner. SO CLEAN! Even cleaner than the ER!! Amazing customer service, wonderful medical staff. So amazing to be in a facility that specializes in female care. I came for my anual check-up, but i saw men, women of all ages, and even pregnant women in the waiting room. I don't know why there's this stigma around planned parenthood. There really should be more of them. Most OB/GYNS are really trained more for emergency problems than standard female health, and this place really knows what they are doing. Happy NOT A Fathers Day!

I've been to a few different planned parenthood locations and I will say that this is the one that looks most like an actual clinic instead of a rundown quack's place. The waiting area is clean , organized and has a tv to take your mind off of things. The services provided are fantastic too. It ranges from free birth control to free condoms to free pregnancy tests to free STI screening and muuuuch more. Well, all of this is free if you qualify for the program they offer. The only thing I hate about this place is that it takes SO long to get anything done. Whether is an STI screen or a pregnancy test, or anything you're trying to do, it's going to take at least 2-3 hrs. Which absolutely sucks if you have to work. But if you're looking for some help and feel like you have nowhere to go, this is the place for you. Its private, its confidential and they dont judge. read more

Worst experience I've EVER had there. About three months ago I had routine testing and received a positive result from their HIV rapid test. I took matters into my own hands and got tested through my healthcare and it ended up being a false positive. Worst part is, they never called me and told me it was a false positive. I then go in after having sex for the first time (traumatized) asking about the hiv preventative since I had so much anxiety and they said that I would have to get MORE TESTS. I told them I would refuse that due to my experience last time and they had no empathy for me. Definitely not the place to go to for any type of disease unless you want a health scare. read more

Oscar at planned parenthood is the best! He is so kind and so hopeful. honestly the whole staff here is. The building is beautiful and clean. I go here for all of my reproductive care needs. I had an irregular pap and they sent me to get a biopsy and then a leap procedure. They are effective and if it weren't for them providing me with free health care I would probably have cervical cancer now. They also gave me birth control to help with my cramps from my PCOS and honestly when I was at kaiser they had me try like 4 different birth controls and none of them worked and the doctor here gave me one RX and it worked for me!!! I've been to multiple Planned Parenthood clinics in both California and Washington State and this is by far one of my favorite clinics that I keep returning to. It is the cleanest and nicest clinic out of the 6-7 clinics I have visited. The staff is friendly and accommodating and makes you feel very comfortable. My doctor actually recognized me from an implant removal from over a year ago. I felt very safe, and in good hands. My service fees were waived because I qualified for the free health insurance, which really helps me out because i'm working minimum wage and birth control is expensive. I appreciate the free clinic so much to help all of us out. I waited less than 20 minutes which isn't long at all because PP has ALWAYS said to expect to be there for an hour /hour and a half, and it's a free clinic so I wouldn't complain anyways. All my other PP experiences have been 2-3 hours. I don't know if they were rushing because people get so fussy about waiting but they forgot to give me some informational handouts but it was okay because I personally have received the info many times. I just don't understand how people can get so impatient when receiving free care, when the staff is trying to spread health information correctly and do their job right. Maybe if they weren't distracted by impatient patients they wouldn't forget a small step. overall i love this clinic and PP, thank you for all that you do. read more

My regular doctor told me I wouldn't be able to have an appointment until 2+ weeks but I wanted to be seen sooner so I called this place and I told them what was going on. they had an appointment for me later on in the day! I was able to book my appointment through DocASAP scheduler and was amazed on the amount of reminders for my appointment so I didn't miss it. The location was easy to get to and the staff were absolutely wonderful. This was my first time at a Planned Parenthood clinic- I have been in the medical field for 8 years and this place is a fully functioning and amazing clinic. I was in and out in about 30-45 minutes if that. Medical Assistant was amazing in explaining and made sure I understood everything. The Nurse Practitioner did also come in and that was good to show that the doctor's are also a part of the clinic and that I am not just seeing an assistant. I like that doctor interaction. I qualified for their program and they explained everything to me- which also was amazing they provided all the information to me without me having to research it myself. As an avid proponent for being aware of your status, I can tell you that this place is a godsend. Now I know that this isn't evident for everyone, but I wanted to keep my visit confidential, which they were totally great about. I'm an adult, but I'm pretty sure that if you're a minor above 16, they also give you free discreet testing (not 100% positive, but pretty sure). I had my insurance card, but they didn't even need it since I just needed an HIV test. I always recommend booking an appointment, it only takes 2 minutes online and saves you a world of time, especially if you need results fast! I filled out the paperwork in the super spacious waiting room (which was playing some funny movies) and they promptly processed it and called me in quickly. The nurse who took care of me was super nice, asked me all the usual questions one would ask during an STD test and got everything done simply and quickly. I won't get into too much detail on what she asked me or what I was required to do, since it's different for everyone, but it was a wonderful experience! Everyone should know their status! One of the best Plan Parenthood locations I've been to. The location was great, the building and office were extremely nice and clean. The staff was very professional caring, and thorough. The best part, I only waited about 20 minutes after my appointment time for them to call me in and I was out the door in an hour and a half! This is a very quick turnaround time considering most Planned Parenthood locations take 2-3 hours for your total appointment time. Asked to be tested for all stds. 4 times to doctor. 3 times to assistant. asked to have them check lump in boob. twice - once to asst, once to doctor. did not check boob. did not test for everything. told me to come back in and check about boob in one month. could not schedule appointment for one month checkup. Totally disregarded my concerns. iono, I'm a bit of a tough lady, but I'd have to say she was a little rough with the pap. cried in my car on the way home a little. read more

I refuse to go back here ever again. My insurance company sent me here for something and I am disgusted. I have been to the Planned Parenthood elsewhere and have not had this issue. When I got to the San Ramon Planned Parenthood the building smelled so bad I almost gagged, the walls were dingy and the carpets needed cleaning. The staff at the front desk were as polite as their job description says to be, but nothing further than that. I waited an HOUR for a doctor and the nurse who took care of me before the dr. was disgusting. She smelled of cigarette smoke and honestly, if I hadn't been told I had to go to Planned Parenthood by my insurance, I wouldn't have gone. I will NEVER go back here again. I was very nervous about the exam and the doctor walked me through every thing and was so kind even when I felt like I was freaking out.
