First, this location isn't super easy to find! It's suite 201 (second floor) - you need to go into the door that leads to Bootlegger's. I called the number and a lady named Christina was super awesome with helping me find it. Second, this location has nothing but terrible reviews, which put me off from going even though this location is by far the closest (within walking distance). My laziness got the better of me today and I couldn't be bothered to go elsewhere, so I went to the 200 Broadway location for the first time and it was GREAT. I needed Plan B. The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful from the start and I was seen right away, the process was quick, and I wasn't charged a thing. At other locations, I've had to pay $10, which is still cheaper than $50 at CVS, but more expensive than free. It was such a pleasant surprise and I had a really great experience here. read more

The nurse was not so patient. She talked really fast with those terminologies. As a first time pregnant women, I don't quite understand what she was saying. When I asked for explanation, she just repeated the line really fast, and got mad at me because I kept asking her to explain. However, the doctor was pretty nice. She was really patient and explain everything clearly to me and discuss my options with clear pro and con. read more

I am a big fan of Planned Parenthood, but this location was hands down one of the worst locations I have ever been to. The staff is rude and will belittle you, I was reduced to tears before leaving the facility. There was one nurse who tried comforting me before being scolded by the manager. They charged me for a service that was suppose to have been covered by my insurance and it's been a huge pain to get my money back. Planned Parenthood has always been a safe haven for me, a place where I have always been treated with respect, you will not get that treatment here. Drive the extra miles to Albany, they are so much better. HORRENDOUS LOCATION, I will never be back. Save yourself the headache. read more

I had an appointment at 11:45. I'm STILL WAITING TO BE SEEN!!! And I'm literally the third patient who's walked in the building since 11:30.

The location is terrible, find an actual OB/GYN. The few times I've been here I've had to wait at least 45 minutes to be called after my appointment time, only to be left in a room for an additional 30 minutes. This makes my entire appointment over 2 hours long. There seems to be miscommunication between staff often which causes delays in service delivery. Moral of the story-save yourself the time and go elsewhere. This place does not respect their patients time. read more

This was my first experience with Planned Parenthood and I thought it was great. The people were very nice and worked hard to make sure I was taken care of. I was worried because I saw reviews about workers being rude and bad customer service but I think these people are very kind, easy to talk to and did their jobs well. There was a bit of a wait at times but this is a busy place and I was told by the workers to be prepared for it. I believe people who leave comments about poor attitudes might not realize the amount of work and service these people provide and automatically get upset instead of realizing their worker is human and might need something to make them smile to help make their experience better. read more

I had a really good experience at this Upper Hudson PP location. No wait on the phone to schedule my appointment, they fit me in within a week, and when I went in, I was done with my appointment less than an hour from when I got there--I've never had that happen at ANY gyn I've ever gone to. The front desk staff were helpful, the nurse that brought me back was friendly, and the clinician who saw me, Ellen, was wonderful--informative, patient, and really nice, WAY better bedside manner than the people at the private practice I was going to before. Now, the waiting room wasn't very full when I got there, so I think I got the benefit of a slow day, and this was with an appointment--when I scheduled a follow-up on the way out, the woman at the front desk told me that their walk-ins usually fill up early and can have long waits, which is kind of just how walk-ins work in my experience. But she also said that if you're going to have a really long wait, they'll give you a time to come back later in the day so you don't have to spend all day at the health center. After I read the 2011 review, I was totally primed to find something wrong, but I just... didn't. Anywhere. The worst thing I saw was a spot where it looked like someone spilled a soda on the carpet in the building's hallway outside of the health center. The center itself was clean and looked new, and the staff were nothing but professional. Really glad I went. read more

This place is ridiculous. I wish my primary doctor offered OBGYN services because I hate this place. Plan on being here ALL day long regardless of if you have an appointment or don't. My appointment was at 11:30 yesterday, finally was called in at 12:20, then sat in an exam room for over another 45 minutes before I was even seen by the doctor. That's almost 2 hours AFTER my appointment time to even be seen. It's absurd. read more

Had zero trouble here and was probably one of the best doctors experiences I've ever had. I was comfortable and relaxed. Everyone in the facility was so kind. Jackie, the provider who inserted my arm implant, was outstanding and very knowledgeable and answered every question I had! Awesome place. read more

Customer service here is very poor and some of the staff are not very friendly or professional. They don't seem to take anything seriously and I get the impression that they treat all of their patients as if they are dumb. If you have problems with the sketchy patient portal, you can expect to not get any helpful information or answers over the phone and will need to take unnecessary time out of your day to go back into the office to get your account reset. If you have a doctor's appointment, you will wait forever in the waiting room even if you have an appointment and then they will rush you out the door feeling like you didn't even see a doctor. I will never go here again. If I could give less stars, I would. read more
