Had a great time exploring Plant City. The staff was very kind, and they had an incredible assortment of Bonzai and Bonzai-adjacent plants. Many of the trees were marked as sold. Vast selection of healthy trees! Everything from beginner $30 trees to extraordinary specimen trees. Prices were incredibly reasonable and everyone was informative and welcoming to a new bonsai enthusiast like myself. During my visit I purchased a high end watering wand and lovely burgundy bonsai pot. There were quite a few trees I'd like to go back for. Plant City offers bonsai classes and has a large selection of pre-bonsai trees that are worth considering. If you're not in the market for a tree right now, it's worth the drive simply to meet the owner, Steve. His collection of trees is clearly the result of passion and are worth being seen. This place has a Magical energy flowing in the air. The minute you park your car you start feeling the difference. My wife and I went there for the first time looking for our first tree (which we got a Jaboticaba). Ever since I've been back many time by myself to to catch the energy and positive vibrations the place give you. The trick is trying not to get a tree every time you go there! (ITS HARD). Don't be shy, talk/ask the the owners. They have a lifetime of experience and they don't hesitate help and give you some knowledge. We made the trip to PCB on 9/5 and our experience was amazing. We left with three beautiful trees-one that Steve potted for us while providing invaluable knowledge about the care and potting of the new trees. I just got home from a beginner bonsai class at Plant City Bonsai and I could not wait to yelp about this place. I have been thinking about getting into bonsai for years and I am so happy I had my first experience with Plant City. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. The beginners class lasted around 5 hours; covered all of the basics and I transformed a 3 gallon potted juniper into a beautiful bonsai that I will treasure for the rest of my life. One of my bonsais was in rough shape, so I reached out to Plant City by email to ask for their advice on how to deal with it. Not only were they quick to answer back, they were very concise and helpful in their response. I finally managed to visit this nursery in person, and Sandy helped me repot my problem bonsai. Steve and Sandy were incredibly nice and knowledgeable on all things bonsai, with Sandy even giving me instructions on how to best care for my newly repotted tree. This place also has dozens upon dozens of beautiful bonsai trees in every shape and size, along with an equally diverse selection of bonsai pots and supplies. A must-visit for any bonsai enthusiast. This is the only place I would go for bonsai trees. Not only does Steve and Sandy have an amazing variety of plants they both are so knowledgeable. To me that is the key.
