They assisted us with the initial…read moreplating of the tree and just like clockwork, Allen Davis returned one month later to perform the soil injection to provide the necessary nutrients to allow the tree to continue to thrive. Allen took his time and explained how to care for my Elm. He even did some minor trimming which made the tree look even better., Moon Valley will continue to beautify our yard with more planting once the irrigation and new sod project is complete. That proved immensely helpful because I was overwhelmed the second my feet hit the dirt! A lovely lady, Rebecca, approached and asked how she could help. She was very happy that I brought the pot sizes as well as where I intended to place them (sun/shade). In no time at all I had a wagon full and with what my friends and I purchased, my trunk space was full. Pricing is a bit on the high side but honestly, the stock is beautiful, healthy and the variety is abundant. Add in the personal attention I received and it was money well spent because a multitude of choices were offered for the specific types of plants I needed. If I wasn't really liking something she suggested, we moved on. She was so helpful! On my next visit I will take some time to browse inside the store, they had some lovely gift ideas but time wasn't on my side at that point. Such a fun outing! (As for getting there, I-65 South was fine on the way there even though a significant stretch is under construction. The return was jammed so we came back on Hwy 31. While it took longer, there were no traffic delays.)

I found this gem of a nursery when I did an internet search. The owners are very friendly and…read morepersonable. I had some time to look around, inside and outside in the greenhouse, and I saw a lot of decorative items, like statuaries, bird baths and seasonal items that are unique. I'm a fan of plants and flowers that aren't found at every other store so I will go back to do some major shopping when it gets closer to spring. This is not part of a retail chain and is locally owned and oby the owners themselves and I prefer to "shop local" and give them my business. So sad to see this nursery has closed. I wish the owners much success in their next venture.
